Going to start today with starting the germ process . cup of bottled water method.. Germinating just one seed of FAST FEM Zkittles from NASC.
This will be my first attempt at this strain and fem fast seeds interested to see the Outcome ... I will be sticking to organic on this .. I have a super-soil blend that will feed the plant over the course of its life and I will test and test to see what results I come up with using this method
6/19 - Seed set into cup for germination
6/20 - As expected nothing spectacular happening lol
6/22 - We now have a nice taproot ready for planting.. we will check in a few days for sprouting
6/25 - We now have a seedling that is almost standing straight up i think by tonight definitely tomorrow sprout will be all the way up
6/26 - Today progress came feels good to be off to a good start went .. seed shell has fully come off .. we are off to the races now
6/27- Probably will be the last post of this week until a new phase week starts which should be in the next couple of days or so
6/26- Sprout finally dropped the shell and has all leaves intact for the early stages of growth
6/27- Leaves have started to fan out and open. everything showing to be in optimal conditions
6/28- Everything going pretty good on the grow nothing more to add first week has been pretty straight forward.
7/2- Fresh new week starting off fresh leaves starting to grow on top of the cotyledon , they have gotten long since the beginning of the week. I put a pen clip just barely into the soil on 6/30 by 7/2 it grew the amount seen in the picture. The plant was slightly shorter than the clip
7/3- Nothing major ..growth still looks good the main stem is very strong .will probably update in a couple days to gauge the rapid growth phase we still have sometime for that though
7/5- New growth leaves are finally crowding out the cotyledon .next stop 1st node
7/6- overall plant has grown quite a bit leaf wise .. height she has outgrown the pen clip I used as a height marker am excited to see what just a few days will look like as we wrap the 2nd week of seedling
7/7- We have a happy plant so far ... serrated blades are finally extended .. we have new growth coming from the top of the canopy .. she is responding well to this current regimen
Top of the canopy has a alot of new leaves starting to form and push out ... this week should be a very productive week as we go into our veg and out of seedling phase
7/24- And here we are the start of week 4 ..we started lst roughly mid week 3 and she responded beautifully . Main stem has doubled in size .. third node coming in nicely
7/27- LST the 3/4th hoping to get a new top
Here we are on our second lst bend , week 4 was very productive ..the initial top made it fully stretched and back to the top of the plant .. Early week 5 we had sites growing from her 3rd node she had enough spacing to receive the second bend .oddly enough the bend was at the perfect angle to turn my 2 top want to 3 for a total of 4 in just a weeks time already maximizing yield possibility. Would be nice to triple my tops every bend ..we will see
8/2- There are so many tops in the center already formed 1st nodes and pushing through the canopy, I cannot wait to see how much we grow by the end of week 5.. We finally got a PPFD meter and have dialed the lighting height and intensity in, she experienced a little high intensity for a couple days due to my own lack of data . Which in the moment had to seem to slow her growth ,, plant wasn't in terrible shape but I look at them enough to know something is wrong and glad I followed my gut feeling .
8/6- We had some steady growth this week she is going more of the bushy route vs the height I love that .There are so many tops in the canopies that have finally emerged and have started popping out from the two rounds of lst we have done so far
8/13- Week six now completed .. we have several 7 finger leaves now .. plenty of tops .. more lst to continue filling the pot diameter up ..and then off to the height races from there ... she is definitely starting to show what she does and doesnt like seems.. to love the warmer side of things ,dirt temps , feedings room temp water doesnt make her happy possibly since my room tenp is about 72 so the water is definitely at least 5 degrees cooler ... other than that healthy as can be from what im seeing ill probably start 12/12 in the next two weeks so 8 full weeks of veg in total, that way I dont end up with a giant that I cant fit in the tent possibly earlier ..just playing it by eye up until then
Annnnnnd here we are onto week 8 with completion of week 7 in the books. We are starting our final week before flipping to flower... I kinda want to let it grow out a little more but i also dont want to end up with a massive plant to keep tame , i guess at the earliest flip at week 8 depending on growth this week let it ride out a little more. I also had some ph issues havent tested my water as i should have which has now been corrected so we should really see soke growth changes alot of information has been noted from my first grow over she still looks great
Another successful week I went ahead and flipped light cycles a couple days early of 8 weeks 8/25 ... First night in the dark produced a huge growth spurt ...second night not as noticable we will see how far and fast she starts to grow as we inch closer to preflower so far this strain especially for me as a first timer has been pretty straightforward
We have a pretty good stretch every other day time to raise the light up some we are getting fairly close to it ....as usual she got another round of lst ..and per usual few hours later she flipped back up..as I have said for weeks now this strain is very consistent as long as we keep this up we should have a really good producer
Nothing to crazy a few growth jumps this week we upped the lights and water intake this week to accommodate new environment settings this girl is still going super strong ..
Trichome production has definitely ramped up on majority of the bud sites .even the really small sites have fairy dust . I am very excited to see this girl fatten up, with buds and trichs
This week we had some what of a little height growth we have an estimated 3 weeks to go before we snip ...I am excited to see how this progresses through the weeks, trichome production is ramping up again it's crazy to see even the lower buds have equal trichome coverage way down on the bottom of the plant so I think she will definitely be a frosty one
This week was a fairly straightforward week nothing to crazy .. trichome production was the only thing I noticed a lot more of buds were also fattening up still weeks left, alot of change coming as we approach the end of such a long run
Pretty solid week ..looks like we are fully switched over to fattening up the buds at a much higher rate ..stems have begun to get thicker as well on some of the heavier stalks .. almost time to hang up this grow
Well hopefully this is the final week of flower ... The buds have gotten super fat .. trichomes I couldn't ask for more ,I'm really happy with how this turned out now just waiting on a little more ripeness to come about and it's chop time for my first photo
Strain proved to be beginner friendly .. she had a slow start due to me being a beginner when I started this grow .. I learned with this strain and adjusted accordingly which helped me turn out a awesome plant , growing a photo allowed me to learn and see results , extended her veg as needed to accommodate adjustments and boy did she pay in spades.. smells so sweet ,dense buds top and bottoms ,heavy nugs which as you can see have the limbs hanging low when unsupported .. definitely will grow a second ..2.0 version soon
