Seedsman White Widow description:
White Widow is one of the best-known, and still one of the most potent, cannabis strains in the world. Originally created in the early 1990s its release to the coffee-shops of Amsterdam was met with universal rave reviews as canna-tourists flocked in their thousands to find out whether all the advance publicity for this white strain was true. It was and remains so today. Bred by crossing a Brazilian sativa strain with a highly resinous South Indian indica it is named after the plant's frosty appearance which makes it white with resin.
White Widow is designed for the utmost potency rather than any complex flavour profile although the smoke is very smooth and satisfying. The initial hit comes on fast and strong, which can leave anyone but the most experienced canna-seur needing to sit down, but this then slowly evolves into a very relaxing high ideal for enjoying music. It is an easy strain to grow almost anywhere; its eight week flowering period ensuring that it will be ready to harvest outdoors in October in northern latitudes before the weather gets too cold. THC levels are high, around 20%.

This diary is not so well documented at the beginning because i didnt know if i was staying in Spain for long! Hope you understand :)
This year was testing feeding with mainly soil nutrients as the base, last years i did a liquid nutrients feeding as base.
The plant is going to be topped at the end of the week.
At the moment really vigorous, liking the light feeding. Added a symbolic quantity (because the plant doesnt need a lot at this stage) of NitroGuano, Microvita and TopVulcan to the soil mix.
Topped the plant at the beginning of the week, and recovering really fast, no stress.
Will keep growing some branches, as im feeding growth booster, some root stimulator and base Veg feeding, plus the amended soil which has nutrients also.
This week i was travelling so this is the photo took by a friend, who also took care of the plant this week.
Just transplanted the plant to a 25L texpot, so as always: Some Roots stimulator (Deeper Underground), Vegetation stimulator Nitroguano, Top Vulcan for the Macro/Micro nutrients, and Micro vita to help the living soil.
You can see no stress since topping, LST should wait until i return home.
Came back from Holland this week and the plant still eating from the soil, but should boost her a little bit, so some green explosion to increase the canopy and the Macro nutrients, base Vegetation feeding plus what was available in the soil previously. ^^
// Nitroguano, Top Vulcan and Micro VIta already on the soil //
// Watering 60-70% on the morning, and the rest at the evening when the sun goes down. If im rising the nutrient dose, first days im feeding plain water at the evening also //
I keep boosting the plant, this week with a heavier dose with some Macronutrients plus the base feeding.
I try to keep it as gradual as posible.

Transplanted the plant, for me looks like a myth if you use a text pot you are braking the roots or so, because no stress here and maybe they grew even more than in a plastic one... In comparision to last grows i feel the plant prefer to expand in texpots, so from 15L and beyond seems logical to me to use a texpot.
Boosting the roots and adding some nutrients to the soil, Nitroguano, Top Vulcan and Micro VIta as i do in every transplant :) .

This week the plant is exploding, nutrients going up and kept bending the main branches using strings so im having a suitable structure for Flowering phase.
Freaking vigorous plant :).

Switching from Veg to Flower, so this week im using a mix feeding with some Bloom nutrients but keeping Veg nutrients, as the plant will be still stretching.
The canopy is getting mad hahaha, love it.

Superguano, Top Vulcan and Micro VIta added to the soil in this week.
First bud culsters forming, and final stretch for the plant.

Full Flowering feeding mode On: Base Feed with Top Bloom, which has really good Macro/Micro nutes, some suugars and enzymes for Top Candy, and Big One to boost those hairs and potentiate bud hairs formation. At this point i have removed all the spots i dont want flowers to grow, so the potential is in the upper sunny part of the plant. Love the structure i get whit this plant because is perfect for my spot and the plant is bushy not so tall.

Colas are getting thicker, you can appreciate the change in size and weight this week, feeding with High PK Levels overall, and the smell is getting stronger, really dank spicy smell forming. Rose the Top candy sugars dose levels also.

Adding some nutrients to the soil again for the final weeks: Nitroguano, Top Vulcan and Micro VIta.
Lowered the Big One dose as we dont need so much at this stage, and rising Base Feed as plant keep eating more.
This terrace where i grow has some sick trees around which nobody cares about and they get oidium every year so we are no lucky, and the plant has some on the leaves. Every time i see a spot in the morning, i have to use some water mixed with H2O2, dip my fingers and clean the leaves to keep the problem under control.
Despite the oidium the plant is freaking huge :), so really happy.

I always like to test the maximum feeding point so the plant gets the tips burnt a little(only a little and really careful at this point). I prefer this than keeping the plant way far under max tolerance levels of nutes.
New colors appearing in the plant, a little yellowing apperaing and lower temperatures.
Flowers are getting thicker and starting to look more filled.

Maximum dose of nutrients in the following weeks. Leaving the last one for plain water feeding and the plant eating nutrients stored in leaves.
Buds are looking almost done but need some more weight and brown hairs until the plant is finished.
The oidium keeps fighting, but not so worried as is not affecting the buds as i see, but gotta keep cleaning the plant leaves every day and cant keep the pace, so lucky me only 2 more weeks.

The plant turned purple with lower temperatures, what a precious gift at the end ^^.
Last week of feeding, super high levels of Micro/Macro and sugars/enzymes, and some Bud Booster (Top Bud) for final weight. Added also Micro Vita to the soil to help with PH and decomposition levels, as the ground is full of roots you cant even dig into it.
Buds looks like almost done, but for me, i need some more fatty calyxes and less straight hairs, which should get fat from the nutrients stored in the plant and soil from this point.

// Watering 60-70% on the morning, and the rest at the evening when the sun goes down. If im rising the nutrient dose, first days im feeding plain water at the evening also //
This week is for cleaning the roots and plant eating all at its disposal, so im alternating Plain water with a little dose of Sugars form Top Candy, so no real nutrients this week.
The smell is really strong, and the plant is getting beautiful colours!! What a mess it was attacked by bugs/plagues, she has a lot of leaves affected but i keep cleaning everyday the most i can, but end is soon as more bugs can come to the party so the White Widow is getting chopped!! And buds are almost done.

Awesome Genetics, the plant was always vigorous and happy to grow as much as she can, really good ramification with a lot of branches, perfectly suitable for LST.
Level of feeding supported: Is high i would say.
Flavour/Therpens: The plant was stinking at the end of flowering, with the classical marijuana/skunky smell, really spicy in the smell and smoke, but with touches of fresh mint and tropical, but the Spicy is much more predominant, it washes your mouth, really good and weird flavour.
Potency: Most potent strain i have ever grown. Eyes turn into deep red hahaha, your mouth wants more water and the high is very cerebral, but also relaxing (not classical indica stone). I experienced really accelerated thinking process, and it even caused me some paranoia in big doses because of that when smoked first times ( i dont have to smoke too much, it is a potent strain for sure) xD. But it is a really enjoyable stone, relaxed but still thinking ^^.
Disease resistance: My plant got oidium at the end but as it came from other plants around cant make a conclusion. Only can say it only affected leaves so not a big deal at the end.
It was an easy plant to grow and liked the training. Topped at week 3 and trained since then so i get the desired strucure to maximize sun exposure.
Talking about production the plant has delivered well and most importantly, potency and terphenes are on another level, i love them. Because of oidium and strong smell i chopped a little earlier than i would like to. Harvested at 30/8/2022.
I would grow this strain again no doubt, beacuse it always hits you hard when you smoke and flavour is so spicy, washes your mouth when smoking, that kind of weed you are feeling inside from mouth to your lungs until you puff out the smoke hahaha.
