Excited to grow a round of these again.
I'm doing 3 seeds. This will be my second attempt at this strain. I really enjoyed the turnout last round. I'm down to my last nugs and I need some more of this exceptional smoke.
Good week.
I love this strain. Very healthy consistent start. I'm really excited to watch these ladies grow. They're looking beautiful.
I can smell the grape hashiness in my mind whenever I look at them!!
Good week of healthy growth.
Both these ladies are so similar and consistent it pleases me.
Just the root enhancer so far once a week.
I'm excited for my second try at this genetic. I'm hoping for bigger more developed plants with the larger size bucket and root enhancer.
Go Ethos or go home!
These ladies are doing good so far.
I've begun to use cal mag plus in hopes of preventing with these ladies what's happening with my other ladies.
I decided to LST one plant to see the differences between the 2.
I'm so excited to do it right and get these ladies to a fat harvest.
I'm very hopeful for this round.
These ladies are doing really good.
This week they've exploded with growth. They're getting themselves ready to stack on some serious flowers.
Same food as last week until I see bunches of flowers forming, and then I'll start the flowering formula.
The one plant is responding well to the lst and hasn't slowed down at all. Hopefully this will yield more flowers for me.
Oh my lordy. I'm very pleased with these two ladies! They have really spread out with a lot of bud sites and great structure. I can't wait until they fill in.
I've just started feeding them the flower formula this week so they should really take off and stack up.
Super pleased with this strain. Go Ethos!! You guys rock!!
Good week of growth. I had some yellowing come out on the lower fan leaves(of the lst'd plant) looked like N def so I added the age old grow.
The training seems to have paid off on the one plant. It's flower formations are noticeably bigger. Whether or not it will turn to more yield I dunno.
Super happy with these two girls. They're starting to frost up and and getting some grape gas smells going.
I'm very eager to see these buds thicken up. Wahoo!!
Go Ethos!!
Good week of growth
This damn lower fan leaf yellowing continues. It is spreading further than I appreciate. This is leading me to believe that they needed a bit of veg food earlier on. Or i dunno. I am going to stop feeding them the age old grow and just increase the flower food now by 1/3 which will compensate for the extra veg food in there the previous 2 weeks.
Everything else on this plant is A okay, Ph in is good, runoff is good. temps are okay, and definitely better than last round. humidity is still lower than preferred but ideal to avoid pm or bud rot. I can only think that these ladies need a bit more food. My ppm in is much lower than most (~400ppm), out is super low when doing the water rounds so I don't think they are being overfed, so I will try the extra flower food next feed time, observe, and take it from there.
Good week, minus the yellowing.
These plants keep getting thicker and frostier. they smell really amazing they have a sweet and flowery skunk smell to them. the untrained plant smells much sweeter and the other more skunky.
Unfortunately they also seem to be getting more yellow without the veg food. On saturday 6/20 I fed the normal regiment of calmag+ flower, then mon i fed it calmag+ veg because the yellowing increased sunday. The beginning of next week I'll be feeding it the calmag+ flower and veg in one go. so far the yellowing didn't get any better but it has stopped spreading it seems. this yellowing business is really frustrating.
Nearing the final stretch
Not much has changed except the yellowing on the untrained plant has really gotten out of control. It's gonna be a pain to trim. Even the sugar leaves are getting yellow. I wish I had any idea what it was.
The Trichomes are still mostly milky with some clear and hardly any amber. The smells are still delicious, the untrained one is sweet and fruity and they lst one smells a little less sweet and has the funk of a skunk dairy.
Both of these ladies are just covered in trich. I'm super excited for these ladies to finish ripening and get em in my closet drying.
As these ladies are in their final weeks I don't think that I will be going crazy adding more nutes. I'm just going to finish these ladies off with the grand finale and then pull em once the runoff ppm is nice and low.
Good Week!
Some purple colors have come in making for some nice contrast.
The trich's have developed a bit more amber this week.
My plan is to give one more week with the grand finale and then go for a flush after that until the ppm's are down enough to harvest.
Wahoo! I'm so close I cannot wait!
Good week of growth.
The untrained plant is pretty much ready trich and ppm wise. I will chop it down this weekend. I am gonna do a little experiment where i only chop the topmost mature buds and I'm gonna try and get the lower larfy buds to finish up a but more. We'll see. I've done this with a photo plant and it worked so I'll try with this auto.
The "lst" plant is looking pretty good too. It doesn't seem to be as far along with the amber trichs and the ppms are not quite low enough to my liking. My plan is one more week of flush to get the ppm's down and then she's gonna go for 48dark before the chop. I've never tried the dark phase before harvest. I feel like my grows haven't turned out too stinky or tasty so I want to try this out firsthand.
Thanks for tuning in! Any constructive criticisms are most welcome.
Interesting week.
At the beginning of the week i was moving my ladies around to take some photos and I hurt the main stem again. It wouldn't stand up on its own and its runoff ppm was good so I chopped. The next day i chopped the rest of the top more mature top buds, sorry i forgot to take pictures. I wanted to see if I could get the lowers to swell up any more and mature before i chopped them b/c they were really pathetic. After the 48 dark I'll take some more close ups of the trichs.
The buds I selected to pick early are now dry enough and ready for jars. I've smoked a bit. The flavor is good and the high is good but its still a bit harsh on the throat from not having a proper cure.
The "lst" plants' runoff has now come down, the trichs are all milky with enough amber for me. I've put them in the closet for 48 hrs of dark this weekend. I've never done this before but thought it worth a shot.
I should have everything down and dried and accounted for by next week.
Good Stuff. I really love this strain. A friend of mine recommended it to me a while back and I've been hooked since the first plant I grew of it. It's in my opinion a very easy strain to grow. I'm still a noob, but these ladies forgive me and still produce fire smoke. It came out to be so smooth and sweet tasting. The high is excellent, I suffer a bit of anxiety but this stuff snaps me out of it and gets me motivated. Not only will I grow it again, I've already got a full closet going. This is the type of herb I wouldn't mind a bit to get stuck with a lot.
Good grow! Great Harvest. I'm still learning and trying to dial things in but I feel I did better with this second round of POTG
The buds were super stinky and sticky.
I let my plants dry out a bit too much before the 48 dark. As a result when I went to trim everything was very limp and frail making this super difficult.
I also found in my two biggest nugs a bit of rot as pictured above. I believe I got it from pushing it too far and pulling dead leaves off. Both of the mold spots were at locations I had pulled a dead leaf. Lesson learned I probably only lost a 1/4 oz. not bad. my friend also taught me some tips to watch out for when the plant is headed south. Hopefully next round I can avoid any rot.
total of dried trimmed buds is ~173g i didn't count any decimals.
@Matagal, well I actually had kind of a tough time with it. I let em go too dry beforehand(to avoid rot) and got some wilt. This made trimming a pain of course everything was soft and sensitive. I also found some rot inside my biggest buds. I don't fully blame the dark( I tried to push my plant too far it was showing signs of decay, like dead dead leaves and dead preflower calyx, but I wanted to push the buds further) I do I think the dark enabled the problem to progress worse. It wasn't the right choice in my situation.
The result though aside from those circumstantial issues with smell and such is that I think it might have worked. I don't know if that much dark time was necessary maybe just a morning chop after the night dark cycle. Now on potency and stuff yet I'm not sure because it's still curing I've only sampled it. For me it was mostly stinkier and stuff when we trimmed while it was fresher, my girl was going off about how much stinkier it was. Both ways taste and smell good when broken up and smoked. when it's dry the flavors kind of locked in.
So I'll try it again because if it helps great but I won't do it unless I have a healthy plant to do it with.
Sorry I'm so all over the place with this comment but that was my experience. :)
@mrHazeCake, Thanks!! I appreciate it 🙏👍 I really like the "lst" one, it really has more purple in the well developed buds. I hope some of that purple survives trimming off all of the yellow, haha.
@DEVS_GENETICS, Thanks Bro! 🙏👍 I appreciate it. Everyone I've shared it with is loving it, myself included haha. I'm hoping my current round will turn out even better. I've got a whole closet going of the POTG auto. Thnx for the positive vibes. 😁
Nice, I'm growing some as we speak. I got a clones and honestly it was dank even in veg state.. I'm looking forward to this strain, glad to see one completed and with great review makes me more excited lol.
Happy growing
