Starting my first grow. I hope this goes well. Choose Rhino Ryder because of the reviews for the relaxing effects of this strain. 48h in the paper towel and the seed germinated well. Only one plant to begin with. Small setup because of lack of space. Medium -> 60% coco / 40% worm castings. In this first week, I'm going 24h of light. Trying to keep RH in the 60~70% inside the tent environment RH is in the 30%! From the 5th day onward fan is on when lights are on.

16/07 - Beginning of week 2 in veg. I applied a garlic solution to prevent pests. I am trying to fine-tune water yet. 18/07 - Some problems with nutrients. I flushed a little bit and monitored the plants. Give filtered dechlorinated water only. The new leaves seem healthy. 20/07 - Finally fine-tuned water and nutrients. The plant looks beautiful. I applied a little bit of LST and the response was almost instantaneous! 21/07 - Growing well. Note some indentation on 2 new leaves, don't know what it could be. 22/07 - Last day in week 2 of veg. Trying to correct my soil pH.

Hi people. It's my first growing so I'm trying to figure things out yet. Today I noticed some indentation on 2 new leaves on the plant. Can anyone shed some light on what this could be? Could it be some kind of pest? Thanks in advance!

The holes, which I think you're concerned about, are definite signs of something have their lunch at your expense... I'd grab some Dr. Zymes (it's organic and can be used up until the day of harvest if need be) and spray top and bottom of leaves... it will take care of almost ALL pests so there's no need to identify exactly what's chewing there. Spray it just before lights out.... And although it has nothing to do with the holes, your PH really IS too high... you want to get that down to somewhere between 6.0 and 6.5 or you're going to have a few other problems! Good luck!

23/07 - First day of week 3 in veg. Had a little bit of a problem with soil pH. Trying to correct it yet but this plant already looks better so I think it's working. I don't know if was the right choice but I topped the plant. I hope this does not go wrong. Fingers crossed. 25/07 - Continuing with LST and did some defoliation. Watering every 2-3 days. 27/07 - Some serious LST going on, continuing with defoliation to open the canopy and maximize light intake. 29/07 - Last day of week 3 in veg. The plant is looking very healthy. Seems that the topping did no harm.

30/07 - Beginning of week 4 in veg. I am continuing with LST and defoliation. It seems the topping did not do harm to the plant. 01/08 - Spreading the plant a little bit to shed some light on the inner nodes. 03/08 - The plant seems healthy. No signs of flower yet. The LST is doing very well. 05/08 - Last day in week 4 in veg. Can't wait to see this plant in flower! Continuing with LST, leaf tucking, and defoliation.

Hello guys. A beginner question here. Should I prune these "inner" branches or should I let them grow? They are getting a lot of light but I don't know if it's worth letting them bloom. If I have to cut them when would be the best time? I'll leave this question open until Friday.

High Mancha, I would keep them and bend them away from eachother. As long as you can have air circulation between the leaves and buds you want to keep it! You trained her really well and as you mentioned they get a lot of light. Don't let that light and energy get wasted. Happy Growing! 😋

Hi people, need some serious help here. The new leaves look like sh¡T. They are kinda yellowish and the tops are necrosed. Some spots on the leaves too! I added some silica in the last water but I don't know if was the cause. Soil pH varies between 6.5 and 7.0. Any ideas?

omg... if you put her out in the hot sun in her condition, you will lose your plants! DO NOT DO THIS! If this is a tent grow, the plants would need to be "hardened off" to take full sun (i.e., put out in the shade for a day or two BEFORE putting them in full sun)... any grower of ANYTHING - weed, vegetables, flowers, ANYTHING - will tell you that! Your plants will simply burn up ... DAMN! I AM concerned about your nutes - are you making your own Bokashi soil amendments? These can take up to 6 weeks to be ready for use... and everything depends on what and how you constitute the compost... Your plants look to me like they are getting far too much nitrogen and too little potassium/phosphorus. If you want to grow organically, that's fine - but I would stick with something like BioBizz as they've made all those calculations for the grower and you KNOW what the NPK is... with Bokashi, you would have to perform your own analysis and I suspect you haven't done that. I'm also concerned about your statement that the pH has bounced between 6.5 and 7.0 ... inconsistent pH levels will take its toll on cannabis and stress the plants out. If you don't have a pH pen, I'd advise you to invest in one soon - it's the single most important tool you can own for a grow imho... you will be able to get VERY accurate and precise readings so you know exactly what you're giving your grow. And yes... stop watering the entirety of the plant... leaves should not be wet after watering/feeding unless you've used a foliar feed - and those you want to use at lights out... not while lights are on as that can lead to burn as well. Good luck...

17/08 - I had a 5 days travel, which worried me a little, mainly because my irrigation system did not arrive in time. But when I came back the plant seemed very healthy. The medium was dehydrated but as you can see even after some defoliation the plant continues to be very bushy. 19/08 - Very wide canopy! I have a 60x60cm tent and half of it it's taken by the Rhino Ryder. Had to rearrange the tent. The Rhino is a bit behind the other plant. 21/08 - Did a defoliation to open more the canopy.

22/08 - Begin of week 7. Very impressive the difference from yesterday when I did defoliation. This plant recovers pretty fast! Trying to bring down my soil pH. 24/08 - The Rhino is a little behind the Gelat.OG in the development in those flower weeks. But in general, the plant seems healthy and bushy. 26/08 - This plant doesn't stop packing up leaves! Trying my best to manage in my grow tent. 28/08 - Last day in week 7. I'm continuing with LST and with light defoliation and leaf tucking.

29/08 - First day in week 8. Now finally I can see some pistils. The plant is very compact and bushy. 31/08 - The plant is drinking a lot! Continuing with LST and rotating the pots trying to even the canopy. 02/09 - Did a heavy cleaning for better energy distribution. Struggling with the RH, very dry here. I'm watering every other day with 2l of water. 04/09 - Last day in week 8. The plant is stretching well. Did a little research in other diaries from the same strain and seems that the problems that I had in the previous weeks delayed its development by 2-3 weeks.

05/09 - First day in week 9. I am trying not to put stress on the plant and not to delay its development, watering every other day and adding silica to improve its health. 07/09 - Continuing with LST and defoliation to give more light to the buds. The plants are drinking like crazy. 09/09 - I have to travel for 5 days. Buy an automatic watering system, I hope this goes well. I added some nutrients to the water and the pH was around 6.2. Set the watering schedule to 1 watering per day, and about 1 liter per plant per day.

14/09 - Had a 5 days travel. Set the watering once a day and 1 liter per plant. It went really well in the watering, but I don't have a thermo-hygrometer that sends data, and right now it's really hot (around 30ºC) and very dry (RH~30-40%), so I'm struggling to maintain healthy levels for those two variables. 18/09 - Protecting this plant from fungal rust contamination, it suffered a lot at the beginning of its grow and it's already behind in its development. Drinking a lot of water tho.

Just plain water in this week. Some yellowing. Buds are not too dense, but in general good structure.

My journey in growing Rhino Ryder was a fascinating and sometimes challenging experience. The initial stages, particularly the vegetative phase, proved to be quite complex, especially considering it was my first attempt. As a novice grower, I encountered a variety of challenges during this stage that I believe impacted the plant's overall development and potential. Despite these hurdles, I managed to employ numerous techniques that ultimately yielded a very satisfying outcome. Throughout the vegetative stage, I grappled with a learning curve that tested my understanding of the plant's needs. It was during this phase that I faced issues such as light intensity, nutrient ratios, and temperature control. These variables significantly influenced the plant's growth and required careful adjustment to achieve optimal conditions. Despite the obstacles, the plant managed to progress, albeit not to its fullest potential due to the initial challenges I encountered. One of the most intricate aspects of the process was finding the right balance of nutrients. Striking the perfect equilibrium between macronutrients as well as micronutrients, was an ongoing puzzle. Over time, I gained a deeper understanding of the plant's nutrient requirements and fine-tuned my approach. Through experimentation and research, I was able to address the nutrient-related difficulties and ensure the plant received the nourishment it needed for robust growth. As the growth cycle continued, the plant transitioned into the flowering phase. By this point, I had refined my techniques and gained valuable insights from the challenges I faced earlier. In retrospect, while the initial complexities of the vegetative stage posed a considerable learning curve, they also provided a foundation for growth and improvement. My dedication to understanding the intricacies of cannabis cultivation paid off, and I saw tangible results in the end. The journey taught me not only about the plant's life cycle but also about patience, adaptability, and the art of balancing multiple variables to achieve success.
