Quick germination. Put seeds into a cup of purified water, let soak for about 12 hours (until they sank) before placing directly into medium. Used smaller containers in the beginning, with zero amendments added to the mixture. Transplanted into permanent home before roots reached the edge, so there was no delay/shock involved.

Did not do anything special with the ladies, just watered when need be. Am using spring water to keep them hydrated. Had to make do with a 1000watt HPS bulb before the new spider farmers were delivered. They spent their first week or so after seedling under this light. I will note that after making the transition to LED, the plants began to progress very quickly.

Making beautiful progress, very satisfied with how easy the strain has turned out to work with. I am new to growing and a bit impatient, so I chose to work with autoflowers in the beginning to get used to all the functions along the way. There has been a lot of trial and error involved, I’ve accidentally killed off 5 seedlings getting to this point but now here I am. And these Dutch passion genetics are booming

Huge progress with the ladies, started to LST them after they were about 5.5inches tall. They’ve been responding very well, shooting out new foliage within less than 24 hours each time I’ve done training. Initial training was just a stability line, and one bend to the main stock. Let the plant adjust for a couple days, and then added two more pin points to each plant. Now even being leaned over and trained, the plants still stand 5 inches from the soil.

I thought the ladies would have another 2-3 weeks left in veg, but started to notice pistils forming within the last couple of days. So flower will most likely start to begin within the next week, I’m guessing I may see a couple oz per plant come harvest day. Not bad for first time grow & using autos, from what I’ve heard a lot of people do not recommend learning with autos due to how quickly their state can change depending on what you do with them. There are some things I wish now I would have done a bit different within the last couple of weeks, I can’t help but wonder how much bigger they’d be if I did not do any defoliation at all. But I have been combating flies bad and made the call to defoliate mainly for that reason. Started to cut back on veg foods and introduce flower foods and sugars to their diet. Humidity levels still at a steady decrease, aiming to have humidity down in the 30s come flower time. Will be going on vacation for a week soon, so fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. Will be having a good friend of mine come by every couple of days to FaceTime me and make sure everything is handled as well as possible when the time comes.

Let the girls do their thing for the most part this last week. Started to stack up real nice, started to notice white pistils coming in. After 2-3 days there were more popping up and some beginning to flush to orange. Decided to LST and defol one last time, watered without any nutes. Today marks week 5 with the ladies, and I will officially say they are ending their veg cycle and transitioning into flower. Cranked the fans up tonight to circulate more air, tapering humidity down. Been pretty easy going so far

I was gone out of town for the last 6 days, but had my brother coming by every day on FaceTime so I could walk him through caring for them. He did very well, the plants are doing great. Haven’t been feeding nutes every time, got plain water for the last 3 days or so after seeing slight signs of nute burn at the tips of the leaves. The burn is gone now tho, so fed again today. Did some LST right before taking pics. These ladies are really starting to beef up a lot. Definitely a very satisfying process.

Doing my best to stay patient lol good thing I picked autos for the first time or My anxiety would be through the roof lol. Haven’t done too much different, removed all the LST lines, took off most fan leaves to make room for bud development.

Didn’t do any more defol after the last update, been letting her focus on bud development. Smell is starting to become more pronounced, honestly a bit strong coming from the one plant to my surprise. No complaints on my side lol. Trichomes really starting to stack now, pistils beginning to flush from white to orange. She may be ready for harvest within the next week or so. If she continues to develop at this rapid pace, I would be surprised if she took longer than two weeks to be ready. Noticed some nute burn at leaf tips so gave her a good flush and have cut off nutes. Will only be feeding with RO water and small amounts of unsulphured molasses from here on out.

Gave the lady a good flush a few days ago and have only watered one time since then, still using RO water. Cut out the molasses from her diet, will only be getting water until harvest. Pistils starting to flush from white to orange, I’d say about 30-35% so far. Buds starting to show thickness, which is good. Smell becoming more pronounced each day. The end is very near for this beautiful lady. After harvest she will be getting a 30 day cure, nothing too crazy but enough to bring out the terpene profiles.

What traits do you look for before harvest? I am keeping an eye on pistil colors, once I see about 75% of pistils flushed to orange I will start to pay more attention to trichomes. I am wanting to get the best medicinal effects from the plant, full terpene profiles, etc.

I would not think about chopping this plant just yet. prob has another few weeks on it. You want trichomes to be almost all cloudy with hints of amber. like 5%, best way to indicate if they are ready. The defoliation and topping you performed I think set this one back a bit though. Could have been a bit bigger and hefty. It also looks to be boarding on N toxicity as well. This link is a great resource for auto feeding,https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ Next time growing this auto try not to top it and just play aorund with LST. Dinafem is a great breeder sad they are no longer in operation. or maybe just not under that name anymore who knows. ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. Trichomes still stacking, buds getting fatter by the day. Smell increasing. Pistils flushing to orange/brown, slowly receding back into the buds from their upright position. Did fan leaf defol of everything near the top of buds and blocking airflow/light penetration around lower bud sites. Checking trichomes in 70x zoom show they are all still clear as glass

Been keeping a closer eye on trichome maturity. Most of the pistils are receded and orange/brown. There are still a few new shooters coming out, buds are still slightly swelling but not as rapidly. Aiming to have about 20-25% amber. Removed a small stem a couple of days ago that weighed 9.5g wet. Will be scaling again once dry to see how much mass was lost in the process. Trying my best to remain patient. Overall pretty satisfied with my first grow thus far.

I really enjoyed this strain and I’m very glad I was able to see it through until the end. I wanted to harvest 9 days ago or so, but got advice from a lot of fellow growers who told me to remain patient and ignore all wishful thinking. The average time from seed to harvest for this plant is 70-80 days, I managed to harvest on day 87. The smell is loud and she looks beautiful. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to get these genetics again in the future. Completely satisfied with using this strain as an introduction into growing.
