- One seed spun in it’s seedling mat cocoon and knotted - Unviable
- One was looking red at the to be root cap, stress since looking at it this morning? Anyway it’s planted with the other 5, so we’ve 6 sprouts thus far
- Of the two that didn’t germinate yet - I pressed the seam of one gently but firmly until it cracked and open slightly. Same with other EXCEPT squeezed between Radicle and abscission - with a VERY light Crack indicating compromise of the seed hull - we’ll see!

AC3Q 22:V:4:1
- No Alternate - I realize I like the spartan Mainline - 8 Cola’s | Evenly developed. I imagined having two major spears, and then some lighter upper - kind of a reverse of my typical Christmas tree made flat. So NO alternate - just straight 3 topping mainline.
- They’re growing pretty vigorously, I’d say they can handle it.
The One I DON’T plan to complete I will experiment with HIGH nutes - and see where they say ‘ouch.’ The Rooted Leaf, seems to behave more like amendments in soil than salts in water.
EC I would expect to have risen in RunOff, but measuring the last couple of days, it is consistently LOWER. Yesterday EC in ~1.9, RunOff 0.9. VPD is dialed, if a tad high (1.05-1.1) - But they just seem to have more chelated nutrients - have yet to see nute stress (Hence the experiment)
ANYWAY - Topped #7, Will have to decide which 2 two finish. Each plant seems to be a different cultivar - with identifiable morphological differences. They look like three different plants to me today.
UP Plant:
Will need an additional 16.2 Liters of Media, or 12 Liters of Coco & 4 Liters of Pumice

Week’s Summary
STRETCH! Both Plants have been growing ~1-2” each day. We’ve about doubled now - let’s see if we get another 6 inches or so this week. Fungus Gnats are still an issue - Saturating w/ Dr Zymes on non-Foliar days (every other day). Applied Mosquito bits (Bacillus Thuringensis) to surface to eradicate larvae. - - -
I’m feeding once a day, near run-off. @1200 ml/day/plant
Because my irrigation rings DUMP their load inf a few seconds, and because #4 has a surface raised in the center (poor transplant) - I’m concerned most of the water will run over the top edges (at 1200 ml/feeding) = Begs for high-frequency/low volume - or Re-transplant, which I Don’t Want to Do (To reduce the pot surface elevation). The stress on #4 has abated - both plants looking more similar to each other, except #4 expresses broader and slightly shorter leaflets, #7 having narrower and somewhat longer leaflets. These are the two most notable differences between the plants.
I’ve been allowing solution strength to rise from ~1.7 mS to 2.4 today. With each increase of strength of Rooted Leaf nutrients, The plants seem happier - w/ more saturated (not over) color across the canopy; relaxed - happily stretching towards a strong light - with resilient easily bendable but strong stems. When my plants are This happy - I’m happy. Great Week! ~ar

I smugly thought "I'm Mainlining - I've got Natural Support!!!" Until the side colas started leaning on their sister . . . Stakes this weekend - pistils only just started to discolor ( < 5%), imagining 14-20 days yet . . . The Narrow Leaf parents are apparent in pheno #7, which it began displaying week 1. It's buds seem to be filling out from the top down, as opposed to #4 (left) that seems to have developed bottom up.
I have vastly more canopy depth than I anticipated - The highest tops are ~1000 ppfd, and not complaining (No apparent light shyness, bleaching, leaf light-avoidance, etc.) - I'm down to about 500 ppfd at bottom-mid canopy. Lower buds are filliing out, a tad behind the uppers.
The narrow leaf (#7/right) you can see is more faded, and probably would like a nutrient schedule with a lighter feed of The Rooted Leaf . . . but they're gettting the same as #4/left/wide(r) leaf, EC 2.2-2.5. I’ve externalized the Mars Hydro SP3000's driver outside of the tent, which bought me 5-6°F lower temps. Instead of maxing at 82-85°F, I've been able to keep this grow 73-77 fairly consistently. VPD is in the 1.0 - 1.1 range.
I've observed that the grow (2x4) seems to aim at VPD ~1.0 , meaning when they're cranking, they seem to want to maintain VPD ~1.0.

Flower Week 10
Week’s Summary -
Buds are putting on weight, as evidenced by the outer colas trying to lean horizontal, but leaning on their siblings.
Day Temps have been in the mid 70’s (~75) Consistently, which is why, finishing up 10 Weeks in flower, we’ve still at least 2 to go . . . Will switch to 18/6 for the last 10 days or so, assuming I can guess the right 10 days. ;-}
We staked #4 this week - the long colas started leaning down - and the outers falling horizontal. All amended Thursday.
I’m thinking it’s possible we go 13 weeks, especially considering #7 seems about a week behind #4.
They REALLY need twice a day fertigation - but with transplanting #4 to the top of the airpots (newbie error) - Growtek would just pour water over the surface, the bulk running over the sides.
Lesson?
SOP: REQUIRE and Enable auto fertigation throughout grow.

Harvest
HARVEST - 12 Weeks, 4 Days - 2022-11-21T20:00:00-0600
Today (chop) is the 14th day since moving to 18/6. The Foxtailing of the top flowers indicates 1) light stress, 2) Reveg . . .?
Even with 18/6 and TWO full weeks beyond week 10, I’d have waited another 7-10 days to ripen the Trichomes to my liking (>1/3 w/ vanishing abscission). As is - I know we’ve more mass - they’re both trichome laden - the smoke test will tell.
Phenos
#7 “Broader Leaved” demonstrated moderate inter-nodal spacing, stacking buds put to the terminal flower(s). Flowers started as tiny ‘sunbursts’ of pistols in the common form for broad leaved plants in general. She branched significantly more than I expected - the buds along each mainline cola are on a small stem that’s 1/2” - 3” long, with a 1.5” to 2” bud attached. The buds spiral up the cola, starting (with varying internal spaces)
