Auto Lemon AK(x2)

Plants are looking healthy and sprouted evenly after 1 week. Soil- 70% Fox Farm OF/ 30% Perlite. Perlite was rinsed in RO water at 7ph then soaked in Cal-Mag at 1.75 ml/ gal prior to planting seeds. Soil was amended with FF Happy Frog Flower and Down to Earth 4-4-4 at half the rate of each along with worm castings and mycorrhizae. Water- well water at 6.5 ph/ 71 degrees. Water is premixed in reservoir (trash can) and kept circulating by aquarium pump and 2 air stones!

2 weeks in and plants are growing steadily. They just had a fresh bath of neem oil and starting to get half dose nutrients of Cal-Mag and introducing plants to a light breeze inside the tent to make them sturdy! Following VPD chart religiously

MISTAKE ALERT!!!!!!!!!! As always, I learned something new on this grow. I sprayed the plants on day 16 with neem oil as a preventative and didn’t wait until the lights were off. This caused bleaching on the lower leaves of all 3 plants! The neem oil sat on the leaves causing them to suffocate and bleach! Never had this issue before with LED’s that had more of a blue/purple tint but oh well, at least I know the HLG 225 is pumping. Learn from my mistakes my friends! Luckily the bleaching has not traveled up or worsened on the LAK 1 and LAK 3 and they still look healthy and are growing steadily. LAK 2 was not so lucky. The bleaching on this plant wasn’t catastrophic but I just didn’t have the heart to look at her so beat up so I pulled #2 The little things will get ya!

Both growing good at this point! One is tall and one is short and but both are very uniform and sturdy. Only difference is height and I believe that was caused by me but otherwise they are very similar. Impressed with Fastbuds and Lemon AK so far!

Both the Fastbuds Lemon AK’s are doing good as of right now!!... #1 is 24” tall and #3 is 14” tall with very similar, almost identical, structures other than height. I’ve been leaf tucking daily and spin them too the side that has the densest canopy as needed. These autos grow so fast that will change daily! Love to watch em grow!

Lemon AK 1 is now 26” tall and #3 is 17” tall. Still rotating them under the light as needed and tucking fan leaves over new bud sites. These plants are strong and have pretty much trained themselves too the light with the help of the leaf tucking. Strong genetics from Fastbuds as always!!!!! Hopefully smooth sailing from here till the end!!!!!!!😎👍🏼☮️🔥💨

Just making sure VPD/ ph are where they’re supposed to be and watching em grow 😎👍🏼☮️🔥💨 Moved both plants to 4x4 for more room and added a ViparSpectra P2000 to the mix. They’re starting too smell now and give off a piney, cat piss’ish odor. Fastbuds!!!!

Sure have enjoyed these two Lemon AK’s from Fastbuds so far. They want to grow, period!!!!!Strong, sturdy plants and I’m hoping they finish as well as they veg’d. #1 seems to be a week or so ahead of #3 with the plants having very similar structures only difference being in height/width. I have already got another pack of Lemon AK on the way!!! Be cool, laugh and smoke fire 😎🥦🔥

So far so good with the Lemon AK’s. #1 is filling out nicely and #3 is as well but she is about a week behind in flower.#1 is 29” tall and #3 is 20” tall. No complaints about these plants at all, any issues so far was at my own doing. No telling what some folks on here could do with this strain!!!! -They’re both continuing to swell nicely with #1 beginning to slow down on her drinking ( her end is near!😎) and pistils are curling and turning orange/red.She smells like a skunk with hints of lemon/earth in there somewhere. #3 is still a week or so behind #1 but that’s fine by me because #3 is swelling so beautifully and even and doing it with an awesome lemon, citrus smell. She is equally as thick cola wise as #1 but her sturdy structure is holding the buds up well💪🏼🥦💪🏼 Won’t be long at all!!!!!!

Lemon AK #1 I’d say is within a week or 2 of being ready to harvest and Lemon AK #3 is probably 2-3 weeks away. They’re taking a little bit longer than I expected but I’m not complaining a bit, they’ve been a pleasure to have in my tent and plan to have some more coming here soon. #1 is steadily drinking less with leaves slowly fading yellow😎and #3 is drinking more than ever!!! They’re steadily swelling up and are a pleasure to watch as they change daily. The branches are slowly starting to sag holding up the weight of the buds!!!! #1 is at her final stages. She is sucking her leaves dry!!! Mostly cloudy trichomes on the top buds with one or two ambers showing up. She’s getting more and more color and smell daily. Earthy, citrusy smell for the most part. She looks great! #3 is still 75% clear on her trichomes and is still pushing pistils. I’ll let her go as long as she needs….The buds on this plant are swelling out beautifully with nice “pinecone” like structures. More like a kush shaped/structured type bud then a sativa structure and she is more colorful than her sister. This one reeks of fresh lemon with a sweet, earthy smell in back. She’s sucking down water hard as she can go! These 2 Lemon AK’s sure have been fun to grow up to this point! Just got to seal the deal and get em cured now. #1 is starting to show a few amber trichomes and pulling all the color out of her leaves. The buds are getting a deep green color to them and are covered in trichomes! I plan on having her cut down within the next 7-10 days. She smells like fresh lemons with a hint of sweet, earthy soil or something of that nature! I want to make sure she keeps the sativa leaning type buzz so I won’t let her go to amber! #3 is a week or 2 behind still but is so beautiful to look at that I ain’t mad at her lol her buds are a beautiful shape, dense and covered in trichomes!! It’s like a tornado in the tent because I have to keep the air flowing through these AK’s. I haven’t looked at her trichomes recently due to the amount of pistils still out and white in color. She smells like pure lemons, sour almost. I try to keep my fingers off her but I can’t help it, I love that smell haha Thanks for checking in on the Lemon sisters🍋👯‍♀️ They really have been problem free plants and a pleasure to watch grow. I went ahead and chopped the #1 Lemon AK today at day 98. I’d say she was roughly 10-15% amber and still showed signs of possibly growing more but I decided to take her down due to not wanting to risk mold. I’m happy with the quality but I can look at the flower and tell I most likely didn’t push these plants hard enough with nutrients. Anyhow, she sat in darkness for 48 hours and was not watered the last 72 hours. I checked thoroughly before hanging and no signs of mold or rot! The smell of fresh lemons and sweet, earthy soil followed her till the end. I’ll do the final numbers on the harvest at the end once the other Lemon AK is done! Lemon AK#3 is slowly starting to show some red and brown hairs and almost all cloudy trichomes. She has been devouring her leaves the last week and smells almost identical too a fresh cut lemon. If it wasn’t for the Skunk plant in the tent with her I’d let the smell fill the air! This plant has some lighter pink and blue colors showing up that I noticed with the lights off. The buds on this plant are thick. I have her main stalk wired up because she was getting droopy! This one can go long as she needs too now that I’ve got some more space. I didn’t attempt to get any good pictures this week because I only could get to them when the lights were on👎🏻. Looking forward to seeing what the finished product will turn out like, for sure. Lemon AK#3 is finally coming to an end and looks beautiful!!! She is mostly all cloudy with a few amber trichomes appearing. 5 days from now she’ll go in the dark tent and 2 days later she will get chopped. She smells sour, earthy and sweet in that order. Her buds are dense and heavy and I had to tie her down from all sides to keep her upright. Looking forward to cutting her down and seeing what the end results look like!!!! If you’re an “old soul” like me and still caught up on the strains from back when you should give this one a try, for sure. @Fastbuds I appreciate all those who have supported this grow and kept up with it because it sure has been a long one. Well the Lemon AK’s are finally done and have both been chopped. Lemon AK#1: after drying= 2.21 ounces She has been curing for 3 days now. Buds definitely lean to the sativa structure and density but she is sour and sharp on the nose!!!! Lemon AK#3 is drying now and looks beautiful. She definitely had more of a kush, indica type bud structure. Fat, chunky, round buds and that was the reason I cut her a little early. I was getting nervous about rot/mold and figured I’d go ahead and chop her before any thing could go wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised if #3 ended up 4oz. or better the way she filled out but I will see when it’s time and update this post. As far as Fastbuds Lemon AK strain goes, I’m very pleased. Simple, strong, they love light and love a good feeding! I’ll update this down the road with smoke reports from both plants but only after they’ve cured completely. I appreciate all the likes, follows and kind words over the course of this grow and the few I reached out to with questions. Not a surprise that the growing community is full of friendly people that want to help others. We need more of that in this world!!!! Just thought I’d update y’all half way through the cure. they’re stable at 62% and the dry weight has only changed a few grams since I started curing so the official end weight for both plants is 178.5 grams(6oz., +10.5 grams) and I couldn’t be happier! I haven’t smoked any yet but it won’t be long now!!!! @Fastbuds had a winner with the Lemon AK as far as I’m concerned and I plan to grow her again!!! Smells like lemon with fresh lettuce and earth in the background!! 🤤🤤 I would encourage anybody to try this strain out. Having 2 plants at two weeks apart messed me up on the final harvest report lol just posting these pics for those who were interested in the final outcome. The buds are mixed together from both plants, they were nearly identical in structure, smell and color even with 2 different phenotypes. Smoke report is in the harvest report but for a quick description I would say: A sativa leaning buzz that will make you realize you’re super high 5 minutes after a rip. Your eyes will close slowly and your face will slowly start smiling. Giggly, happy and relaxed and very functional. Taste: strong lemon/pine with a soft, doughy, earthy kind of aftertaste. I enjoy it thoroughly when the warm sun is shining on me!!!!😎👍🏼🥦🔥💨✌️🏼🇺🇸 If you were thinking about growing Fastbuds Lemon AK, you definitely should!!!!!!
