- DAY 22 (25/06) Despite she is a fairly slow genetic, I still think my girl is slower than usual. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. - DAY 26 (29/06) Sprayed neem oil in the evening (always mixed with water and potassium soap, and lemon juice to correct PH) Between last week and this week I am watering with 2 liters of water approximately every 3-4 days. Watering with 2 liters, part of the water comes out into the saucer. The ground struggles to dry out despite the heat. I realize that I have exaggerated with the amount of water, the plant is still too small. I will decrease the quantity of water from now on. Day/night air temperature on average for this week: Day 30-38 °C. Night 22-24 °C.

- DAY 29 (02/07) The bugs have arrived. Perhaps the triggering cause was that last night I sprayed water on the leaves, thinking of cooling the plant due to the current hot climate. I will cut off the two pairs of older leaves that have been affected. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. - DAY 33 (06/07) FEEDING First real feeding. I will use the trio PH Perfect of Advanced Nutrients Micro-Grow-Bloom. I don't know why but my Micro is different from what most people have. Mine has a 2-0-0 NPK ratio, while the standard one has a 5-0-1 ratio. This is my first time using non-organic fertilizers. I will try to follow the manufacturer's instructions, decreasing the doses, even if the NPK ratio of these fertilizers seems a bit unbalanced compared to standard thinking (I speak of the common thought that in vegetative nitrogen must be greater than potassium and phosphorus, and potassium greater than phosphorus) I irrigated 1 liter of water with: - 0.5ml Micro - 0.5ml Grow - 0.5ml Bloom The manufacturer says that the PH is corrected automatically, I don't know whether to trust it or not, when in doubt I added some lemon juice. Solution PH: range 6.7/7.0 In the same evening I sprayed the usual mix of neem oil. (neem oil, water, potassium soap and lemon juice) Day/night air temperature on average for this week: Day 31-35 °C. Night 18-25 °C.

- DAY 36 (09/07) In recent days I cut the two older pairs of infected leaves. The day after the previous feeding with Micro-Grow-Bloom, light rust-colored spots appeared on some old leaves, especially at the edges. I will show you better in the following days. At the moment they seem to be few. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. After that, I irrigated 1.5 liter of water with: - 0.75ml Micro - 0.75ml Grow - 0.75ml Bloom (Always with some lemon juice, not much, I want to trust the PH perfect technology adopted by the manufacturer) Solution PH: range 6.7/7.0 In the same evening I sprayed the usual mix of neem oil. - DAY 43 (16/07) After the last feeding, the rust-colored spots on the leaves especially on the edges, became more pronounced. I will stop feeding with the PH Perfect trio until I understand the problem. I fear a potassium over-fert due to the unbalanced NPK ratio of this trio, or an excess of calcium that is contained in Micro, my tap water should have enough calcium. Soon I will rely on you and i will show you more detailed photos. I'm watering with 2 liters of water every 2 days about. Since I had reduced the amount of water, the water does not come out of the saucer. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. - DAY 48 (21/07) I sprayed the usual mix of neem oil. - DAY 50 (23/07) I will show you the rust-colored burns that occurred from the first feeding with Micro-Grow-Bloom. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. - DAY 52 (25/07) FEEDING I thought of irrigating with some Root Juice to give a little help to the roots, because has grown slowly, I don’t know why. I irrigated 2 liter of water with: - 4ml Root Juice Solution PH: range 6.6/6.9 - DAY 54 (27/07) HELP It's been 13 days since I last fed with the PH Perfect trio of Advanced Nutrients. I need your help to figure out how to get back to feeding. From today I will water with more water to make sure that the roots and the soil are better cleaned by letting the water flow out of the pot. (until now no water flowed into the saucer). I uploaded the photos and video with the rust-colored burns on the older leaves that showed up after first feeding with Micro, Grow and Bloom, and they were accentuated after feeding for the second time. Watering with water alone (and citric acid to correct the PH) does not seem to present any problems. I immediately thought it was an excess of potassium, considering that I have fed 2 times with Micro (2-0-0), Grow (1-0-4) and Bloom (1-3-4) 0.5ml each, this NPK ratio should be around 2-1.5-4. I thought about adjusting the doses in order to increase nitrogen to keep it higher than potassium, and lower potassium while still keeping it higher than phosphorus. Could it be a resolution to my problem? I also thought that it could be an excess of calcium present in Micro (it has 2.4% of calcium and 0.1% of magnesium soluble in water) because according to the analysis of my tap water it seems to already have enough calcium (110 mg/l of calcium. 21mg/l of magnesium) and here arises my fear of increasing the dose of Micro to increase nitrogen and continually encounter excess calcium. Can anyone enlighten me? - DAY 55 (28/07) SLIGHT DEFOLIATION I made a slight defoliation at the bottom. To be precise I removed 2 medium-small leaves and I removed the two smaller popcorn sprigs at the bottom of everything. I sprayed the usual mix of neem oil. (neem oil, water, potassium soap and lemon juice) - DAY 56 (29/07) LST We are at the end of the week. I performed 4-way style LST. Day/night air temperature on average for this week: Day 31-33 °C. Night 22-26 °C.

First, it's slow-moving, it's relegated to bottom.. .most of the plant looks fine. it's good you are worried, but adjust it to scale of the problem. you should not feel overly anxious about this. based on some tidbits from diary, may even be caused in part by the irrigation habits. so, it's limted and at bottom of plant -- that's a mobile nutrient and helps us further diagnose the cause. Someties plants shed lowe leaves, too... so if it never ramps up or spreads, i'd not wory about it too much. but does lean toward k-tox of teh various options. but, you ratios aren't bad at 2-1.5-4 130 N 50 P 200 K are my NpK ppm. bcause of different densities, these ratios are a bit different. i don't know their npk versions cause npk values aren't apples to apples and i don't bother with them. 1.6-1-4 would be good for ppm... npk label values are different animal. (Ca 100+ Mg 80+ S 100+ -- these will vary more based on water used) If/when you do the math on the K you added in total, if it is well over 200, it's a prime suspect at that point, assuming the soil has some too... (some tranlating -- i speak from asoilles perspectve.. you may feed highe, but if every 2nd irrigation, it shouldn't be more than double -- over time it still has to match the same plant's metabolism regardless of soil or soilless... can't force feed plants like foie gras) you are in soil.. so if you feed every 2nd or third day, this will be higher, but you'd want to add the same mass of each molecule per week or per month etc (relative to how i explained the ramp u for soil context), so it is similar, still. you could use similar amounts in a daily feed once the plant has sapped what comes with the soil to start... until then it's a balancing act requiring familiarity with the soil's components. a 10-15% runoff when you have fully ramped up your feed will maintain soil EC -- you basically treat it like a soilles grow once those soil amendments are used up. check out what others using nsame products do... do the math using the online calculator.. you've got the tools and some ballpark ideas... start fertilizing again. --------------- some bits from readng diary and more (until now no water flowed into the saucer) -- even in soil, you definitely want "some" runoff... unliles soilless, excess runoff is just leeching anything your soil initially came amended with, so less is more in this context... but you still want some to ensure entire pot gets wet. re-occuringn dry pockets are a potential cause for nute buidup... doesn't guarantee it occus, but creates the opportunity for it to do so. You have soil, so you have to ramp up your dose over time. i've never used that product, so i have no familiarity of how hot it is, etc... search diaries using those products with soil and look over the healthy looking plants and how they progressed. expect some deviations in your garden, but a good ballpark to start. if you feed every time later on, you'll max out at 1.2-1.5 ec as stated before. (600-750ppm). Total ppm is only part of the picture. the ratios of npk et al are important too. you ratios don't look far off but i can't do the math for ppm in my head. you can do that using a manic botanix ppm calculator. too many unknowns with soil to give you a direct answer, and anyone that does is lying to themselves and giving bad info even if it coincidentally works. learn cause and effect to more effectively exptrapolate on you own over time.

- DAY 64 (06/08) New shoots have grown, the plant seems to grow well. PROBLEM WITH FEEDING However, after every feeding (even a light one) with Advanced Nutrients, it always shows problems with rust-colored spots especially at the edges. A few days ago I went back to feeding after 17 days, very lightly, and new rust-colored spots appeared on time, this time in an even more accentuated way on multiple leaves. I had drastically decreased potassium by cutting Grow, and slightly increased Micro which contains nitrogen and calcium. I came to the conclusion that it is due to an excess of calcium or potassium due to the fairly charged starting water. I don't have a professional TDS tester so I don't trust the tester I have, but I know for a fact that my tap water has enough calcium and I also use lemon juice to lower the PH to 6.7. Lemon juice contains traces of calcium and potassium, added to tap water should form a fairly charged starting water. When I go to add even minimally Micro, which contains calcium, with Grow or Bloom which contain potassium, this probably causes an excess block due to one of the two substances or both. So, now I am going to wash the roots with pure osmotic water with the correct PH. To lower the PH I will replace the lemon juice with PH Down of BioBizz. In addition, for each fertilization I will use half pure osmotic water and half tap water. This mix without lemon juice should reduce the PPM of the starting water and perhaps I will be able to feed with Advanced Nutrients without problems. If you have a different idea from mine, please give me your advice. Thank you. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. Day/night air temperature on average for this week: Day 29-35 °C. Night 19-26 °C.

- DAY 71 (13/08) I have defoliated most of the burnt leaves. In the evening I sprayed the mix of neem oil (neem oil, water, potassium soap and citric acid). So, I am continuing with the washing of the roots. The plant visibly needs nitrogen, for the next irrigation I will go back to feeding. This time hoping to be able to feed without problems and that the burns on the leaves will not return. The girl is growing out of all proportion. Within the next 2 weeks the hormones that will send her into bloom should be triggered. Everything that I will do relevant in the days of this week I will update it here in Week Comment. I am open to advice, I would be happy if you comment with what you would do in my place. - DAY 75 (17/08) FEEDING So, from now on I will feed with half tap water and half distilled. I removed the lemon juice by replacing it with BioBizz PH Down. The starting water should be less loaded with calcium and potassium now. I irrigated 3 liter of water with: - 1.2 ml Micro - 0.6 ml Grow - 0.6 ml Bloom - DAY 76 (18/08) I sprayed the mix of neem oil (neem oil, water, potassium soap and citric acid). It looks like nutrient burn that might be causing a calcium lockout. It could also be a pH problem that isn't letting the plant uptake calcium. If this is the case, get the soil pH down to 6.5 and only use pH'd water to water it for a week or so. Then, reintroduce nutrients. Good luck.

@ernest_twwg, so your opinion seems to agree with my analysis of potassium dosage too high, rather than an excess of calcium. Thank you for the reply! I hope to receive other opinions before returning to fertilize
