One Mountaintop Mint is still under the soil, it has germinated but it hasn't generated leaves yet. I used two seeds, that one which is late, is 2nd one, because the seed didn't activated. Hopefully, I don't have to use 3rd seed. That bottom right BSS is also bit late. They germinated bit earlier than the date I put out. I've prepared to delay right row if they won't activate in time. Cubes were soaked in 5.7 pH water, and one cup of Photosynthesis Plus. No nutrients yet. There's money in those damn seeds, 2 x 5 packs, 105 euros.

Everyone has reached out from the soil. There's that little one which root was stuck inside the seed. I removed the seed around it and put it back. Now it has finally started growing too, and has generated a pair of leaves. Steady steady... I gave them a quite boost of nutrients a couple of days ago, in one liter mug, there was something like 10-20 ml of grow and bloom. They received it well, no burns or anything. I'm gonna keep them in that spot until the roots come out from the cubes. Then they go to tent. I haven't acquired that flowering led yet, but they're not in the need anyways. Grow conditions are approximates, for now. I'm probably gonna buy some gear to measure CO2, humidity, and temps, but we'll see.

Change of plans. Since that Spectrum King LED is starting to age, I am gonna get Lumatek's Zeus 600W Pro 2.9 instead. Also plants are gonna move into a tent, next week or so. I also switched those plants, so BSS's are on the left, and MM's are on the right. I'm probably gonna top those big plants at some point, since they're gonna overtake smaller plants.

And liftoff! Moved plants to the tent, although I have a huge temp problem. Pool temps are almost 27 degrees celsius, the issue will be addressed, in the near future. Lumatek Zeus is being ordered, should arrive within a week. Topped biggest plants. It gives a nice control for the future, to see how they react and grow compared to smaller naturals. Also to lessen future height problems.

Nothing special, they're growing nicely, and the climate is cooling down, which helps a lot. There's delays with the led order, I really hope I'll get it at least before it's time to flip these. Which is about 4 weeks, or when they reach one meter in height. Proper spreading will be done with these too, so early ScrOG is a must. CO2 bag is old, I'm gonna replace it this month. Light arrived! I'm very happy with it, it's so powerful that first I ran it with 50%, I had to lower the power because the tips of leaves started burning. It might've been nutrient problems too, we'll see... Now it's running on 25%. Heat problems in the pool are far gone too. I topped small plants too, I liked the way they have started spreading. Screen is there, waiting for them to grow tall enough for better spreading. And another CO2 bag has been ordered too. This time, it's XL size. That's what they recommended when I asked them about it. HPS is retired. Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

CO2 bag has been replaced, with XL size. Plants are obviously loving it! I've been running the light with 50% and no light burns or such appeared. Roots are whitey and plenty. I cleaned those root filters yesterday, (so the water connections won't clog, has happened in the past, it's a lot of water all over the place, very quickly 😅) they were full of it. They try to reach the reservoir for some reason. Those metallic pipes also prevent flooding, since they are porous from top to bottom. Even with lazy cleaning, and inattentive caring, they protect from flooding. It's necessary, because I'm running ebb and flood system 24/7, without breaks, as they are designed for breaks and dry period. I'm probably gonna flip them, once they reach the height of one meter. Web is there waiting, that they grow high enough, so I can spread them more evenly. They're very bushy already! I'm very happy with the current build, only water cooler is missing, and couple of fans to mix air in there. That bag position will be changed, once I have to raise the height of the light fixture. But I need fans, when that happens. All my old Secret Jardins are broken. Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

This is fancy stuff! That topping really made a difference, they are all spreading nicely, around the canopy. Pool temps are also better, probably because the plants cover the cover pretty much 100%. One more week and it's time to flip these, I think. They look crazy, when you view them from high up, without the led obstructing vision. I'm happy with these. Vegging continues. I'm thinkin about waiting, until they are at 90 cm. That x 1,8 reaches maximum effectiveness for yield. They are spreading pretty well too. Topping was a good idea, and I'm gonna keep doing it in the future, with every plant. They don't stretch either, like in past projects with MH light. Did some defoliation too. Light is not as high as it is in the pictures, I just lift it up when taking photos. CO2 bag is just above the light in growing mode. Bigger structure, bigger yields... 😎 Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

I did major defoliation and trimming this week. A kilo or something, worth of leaves. Also cleaned those zip tie filters, which caused some tearing of the roots. After that, BSS got weird yellow and spotty. I thought it was nutrient deficiencies, still don't know why they are like they are. All others are just fine. Those roots penetrate those tiny holes of those filters, they're trying to get in to the reservoir. Water flow was decreased so I decided to pull them out, remove all roots (a lot) have gotten through the pipes, and wash them with hot water. Hopefully they get it together soon. Also cleaned water pump and its filters. Probably should change pool waters too at some point. Also, the fixture is running full power now! No burnt leaves or such. I red from somewhere that some people had problems on higher power with Zeus 2.9. Maybe they grew in soil... 😅 I put that old pc fan there as an improvised cooler, I don't have proper fans yet, because old pair of Secret Jardins died. It gets quite hot when air is now moving that much in the tent, and I really don't wanna destroy it. In my opinion, all powerful led fixtures must have some kind of active cooler, to push heat away from the heat sinks. Unless you're growing in a big, big warehouse or room with plenty of space above and sides. Don't trust passive cooling! Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

Does anyone know what's wrong with that bottom left plant? Those spots appeared pretty soon after I cleaned those filters. I'm thinking that it's a stress caused by that cleanse, no chemicals or such were used, but some roots were torn in the process. Deficiency? Disease?

I flipped these Wednesday 12th. Turns out, I never used Bloom part of the AHH 3 part mix. From which I remembered, that it's only used at flowering phase... I was wrong. So, plants never received any Magnesium. Now that sickly plant is recovering. Less wilting, yellows and browns haven't progressed any further. Hopefully they get better over the time. I had to flip them because the tallest plant reached 90 cm. Would've waited more, if I'd have more room. 😅 I also put that hydro system on override, 20, 30 liters more water in there, and more water space for roots to expand. And boy, they have. Bottom shots were taken before I removed those dying leaves. Stem is getting bulky! BSS is taking over MM. Guess latter is more picky... Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

She's not getting any better... Yesterday I got an idea, trying to feed that one BSS directly to the rockwool, since the problems begun with root clearing. We'll see how it goes. I'm also raising pH a bit, to see if they react to that at all. Also tried magnesium salts through pool, and through foliar spray. Her falling behind is starting to get obvious too, but there's no chance to remove her, those roots are too interconnected. Hopefully she gets through to the finish, without rotting or something. It's also strange that her co-grower is just doing fine, although she's a bit small too. I'm gonna redo those plants in the future, for sure. Cleaned filters, root mass has doubled, except for that bottom left one. She's not all yellow, so there's some hope. Trimmed one bag worth of leaves and small, burnt shoots from there. Now we wait... They're not stretching as much as I expected, at least yet, which is weird. I haven't done much new, just removing dead leaves and so forth. Last grows added now, I think. I can't solve the problem with that one plant, but it tells something that others' aren't like that; at least it's not spreading... Anxious 😅 Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

I've cut down nutrient feeding, fed them mainly with water and even took 10 l water away from the pool. Could've flushed them and add new nutrients but this saves money. Yesterday I put lights back to 75%, since they're not stretching at all, which is very strange. I've contemplated about the possibility of this light fixture not having enough blue, but we'll see. Maybe it's also too much light, since there's some burn in the plants. Raised that light also higher. I'm gonna keep light schedule at 13 hours till next Wednesday. I'm bit heated up due the lack of flowering stretch, could've kept them on veg of couple of more weeks. At least there's enough flowering tips, even if they don't rise up... Removed another bag worth of undeveloped stems and yellow, blotched leaves. That BSS baffles me; it's growing but slowly, it looks like it's dying but it's not. It also generates roots, still. Her counterpart is fine, although small-ish. Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

I'm not very impressed with the performance of this new light I got, to be honest. It lacks blue and green spectrums, but got a big spike of far red. That's probably the reason why these are not stretching at all. To the next project, I'm probably gonna buy some supplemental lights which has what this light lacks, or go back to Spectrum King. Anyhow, they're growing at least, although slowly, compared to the gear I've stuffed in there. Light is running at 75%, and I finally got a fan which blows towards the plants, which should solve that curling happening with right MM. This light has another 5 weeks to redeem itself, we'll see how it goes. Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

They going. Bud formation is acceptable, no problems has appeared. Easy cruise, day by day. Light is running 100% again. We get more from this than from the previous batch, for sure. Removed some undeveloped bud sites, I should do that treatment for that bottom right Mountaintop Mint too, but we'll see. Smell is good too. I've already decided strains for the next project; they will be Slurricane from the Advanced Seeds, and Fullgas from the Greenhouse Seeds. Project's name will be Snow and Icicles. 👏 Top left: MM Top right: BSS Bottom left: BSS Bottom right: MM

Flowering goes on, nothing special has been happening. It's weird that those MMs are further in the flowering than that BSS which was supposed to be fast flowering, with 59 days. MM is 70 days. Final pictures before harvest! That MM is claimed to be median flowerer, with 70 days, yet it seems completely ready if you look those orange hairs. This is in a bit of hurry though, next one will be treated properly. Might be a light too, or CO2, early finish. Can't risk the potency! 👻 They're all cut off already, but I'll update official harvests with pictures, when they're dried, trimmed and weighed. Happy Christmas everyone! I love Growdiaries, it brings structure to the process, it's also good for approximations and backtracking. This one was the yielder, but it was quite strange that this one finished first, because it has median flowering cycle, 70 days, which I didn't go through with. I cut these down at 60 days. Could be grow light. Having a such big tent is great for trimming and such. Just remove water pool and you got plenty of space to process these things, without odor etc.
