I flipped these Wednesday 12th. Turns out, I never used Bloom part
of the AHH 3 part mix. From which I remembered, that it's only used
at flowering phase... I was wrong. So, plants never received any Magnesium.
Now that sickly plant is recovering.
Less wilting, yellows and browns haven't
progressed any further. Hopefully they get better over the time. I had to flip
them because the tallest plant reached 90 cm. Would've waited more, if I'd
have more room. 😅
I also put that hydro system on override, 20, 30 liters more water in there,
and more water space for roots to expand. And boy, they have. Bottom
shots were taken before I removed those dying leaves. Stem is getting
bulky! BSS is taking over MM. Guess latter is more picky...
Top left: MM
Top right: BSS
Bottom left: BSS
Bottom right: MM
Does anyone know what's wrong with that bottom left plant? Those spots appeared pretty soon after I cleaned those filters. I'm thinking that it's a stress caused by that cleanse, no chemicals or such were used, but some roots were torn in the process. Deficiency? Disease?
@Wanda, I think I'll keep them on veg, until they reach 90 cm / 35 inch. It's a relatively short time that goes in it, and it can significantly increase the yields. Bigger structure can also carry more bud. I bought that tent specifically for ridiculous grows. 😆
@Half_Synthetic_Growing, that's a pretty tall tent. You could let them go longer. They'll be easier to manage when they're shorter though. You'll still have the same amount of bud sites either way.
05.09 they are still good, later all starts ...
at beginning, looked like you lost it there ( maybe mismatch with nutes and spike of N, but no burn or long excess of it, so confused ) , there was spike of small magnesium issue and later they just pale back, like having ph and calcium absorption issues. Sometimes looks hungry even , but without ec values you can only guess....
Never grew in hydro, but thats how they look if would grow in soil.
@Half_Synthetic_Growing, looking at other peoples pain and only few make it - think hydro is for tough guys only ;))))
Then its a light feeder one, genetics ...
Hope you sort all !!!
@AsNoriu, Light also changed, somewhere in there, from metal halide to a LED. I flushed them today and put new stuff in, we'll see how they will do. pH is also good, around the sweet spot. They're now in lighter nutrient amount, and I pumped more water into the top reservoir, just checking if that could help the plant. Also, there's only one plant which isn't doing good, which is strange. Others are just fine and thriving. I have put EC values to every post, and based on my past experiences, pushing the plant doesn't hurt it, once it is big enough. Also I think that hydro is more forgiving than soil. You can dilute things down by just adding more water, and the plant can't drown.
Wow….long veg! I look forward to following along.
I’m still trying to learn and understand hydro (I’m a soil grower)
I totally agree with you that you can’t trust passive cooling on LEDs….I dedicate one 6” fan to each heat sink on my lights (3).
Best of luck!
@@T_Dub, I learned from a guy who did hydro, I'm just a successor for him, since he retired from this hobby a few years ago. I've never grown things in a soil. 😅 I was thinking about putting them on a flower already, did for a half a day, but then I decided to wait until they hit 90+ cm, or when that sickly plant recovers. Changed water and put lighter solution in it, we'll see what happens. Gotta admit that I'm kinda pushing this right now, even though I got a big tent.
