Both seeds sprouted within 24 hours of planting. They are in 1 gal pots with FFOF. Soil was damp when seeds were planted. I have them in plastic domes while I’m the seedling stage. Misting the top layer of soil so I don’t drown them. Both seem happy so far.
Plants are both growing at the same pace in terms of nodes, but one is a couple inches shorter than the other. Everything seems to be going well so far. Some small issues, but nothing major.
Forgot to update, and got busy. Plants quickly outgrew their one gallon pots, and I had to transplant into five gallon fabric pots. They took to transplanting well.
Topped both plants about a week after transplanting into their final pots. Did some light defol on lower fan leaves. Both plants recovered from everything quickly, and are continuing to grow very fast for photos.
Both plants are continuing to grow well. I will be topping again within the next week. I am hoping the topping can prevent me from having to move the lights again l, as they are pretty much topped out. If growth doesn’t stop, I’ll either have to re-hang the lights with different hangers, or maybe bend them over.
I missed last week, but it was pretty uneventful. LST on both plants, one just bending, the other opening the branches to even out the canopy. Unfortunately, I over did the tops, and snapped one. I taped it up, and it’s fine now. This week I defoliated, and will be flipping to flower tomorrow or Sunday.
Things continue to go well. I flipped to flower on Sunday 10/9 and they have already started to explode in growth. Made the light schedule 6p-6a to keep up the temps at night because it’s getting cold.
Plants are still growing well during the first week of flower. It’s looking like I’m dealing with a potassium deficiency, so that’s annoying. Other than that, everything is going well. These are the thirstiest plants I’ve ever grown, and they really enjoy fertilizer. I’m considering upping the nutes.
Everything is going well through two full weeks of flower. Plants are continuing to grow quickly, and are in need of defoliation again. I’m running a mild dose of GH Flora series plus a little calmagic and the nute issues have resolved. Buds are starting to form.
I did some defol yesterday which was day 21 of flower. I decided to leave the top five nodes on each branch, and cleaned up some leaves for airflow as well. Plants are very thirsty, and respond really well to nutes. I did some additional lst to the left plant to open up the canopy a little bit.
Nothing much to report this week. Flower growth is starting to explode, and both plants are healthy. The purple is starting to set in on the leaves. Hopefully, the flower turns out to have some nice color. Smell is there, but pretty mellow still.
Flowers are really starting to gain bulk and weight. I’m very happy with how both plants are turning out after two toppings and lst. I think the training of pulling all branches away from the main works better than the pulling over to one side. I think I’ll go full scrog net for my next grow.
It’s the waiting game from here on. I’m continuing on my normal water/nute schedule. NASC said these are ready in 50 days of flowering, but don’t really look close to me. I’ll continue to monitor the trichromes and keep on watering as normal.
Just close up shots this week. It’s getting very close, and the lower bud sites are really starting to blow up. Just playing the waiting game, which sucks.
These plants were a little sensitive to changes in environment, but overall, they were a pretty easy plant to grow, and the colors towards the end of flower were beautiful. The smell got towards the strong side towards the end of the grow, but it was a pleasant smell.
