Update :
Seeds popped out this sunday during daytime, took them under the small LEDs to help them get up. They'll stay there until the next part of the journey
Original post :
Few months ago, a friend had some issues with his seeds and got 10 Master Kush Auto from Sensi Seeds. I don't know all about it but he said good things about their customer service. As he had already ordered more seeds before getting in touch with Sensi's customer service, he gave me 5 of them...
Monday :
They have been staying in a box, placed in the fridge since then till monday. Took three out and let them in the dark, inside a cup at ambient temp for 48h.
Wednesday :
Still using same method, so they went on the plate with the paper towel method and placed in a cupboard, in the dark, ambient temp around 22-25°, humidity around 55-65%.
Thursday :
Checked the paper towel in the morning, making my round to the other plants and wet the paper towels a bit, cause almost dry. Still none opening.
Friday :
Checked the paper towel again in the morning. Two of them were starting their roots and the third was just cracking open. Got the paper towels a little wet again and back in the cupboard.
Saturday :
Woke up this morning and went for the morning ritual (coffee and go round the plants). Checked the seeds and suprisingly the last night has given it's benefits, all 3 ready to go in the starting pots. Got the soil ready, the propagator, and tweezers. Prepared the starting pots, and planted the seeds. Put the pots in the propagator and back in the cupboard, humidity level + temp is really good in it for seeds starting.
Will give a check by this evening and again until they pop out, then they'll start their "journey to the west", under the 36w LEDs until they're ready to go in the tent (for those wondering the cupboard is perpendicular to the tent on it's left and the "starting table" is juste before the tent 😂).
Not sure yet, but might go with nutrients this time instead of the usual banana peel juice, to see how different it is, have been looking at a lot of infos on nutrients and do believe it really makes a difference in the end, so if not this batch, the next one will definitely have nutrients.
So from now cf "Gnomes" :
Step 1 : germination
Step 2 :❓
Step 3 : harvest
In the end they didn't spend much time under the small LEDs, but it looked like they liked it...
One is going quicker, but they're all the same height (leaves are a little bigger then the two others).
Wednesday :
Babies growing well, tomorrow is going to be time to put them in the big pots and in the tent. Checked them this night, watered them a little for tomorrow.
Thursday :
Today prepared the pots to plant the babies. Did the soil mix and watered it just enough to humidity it and let it rest (coffee + checking all other plants).
Checked them a last time and made the holes. Soil was wet enough, not dry but enough so it doesn't make packs while digging.
Put the starting pots in and filled the sides to the top, and left about 3cm out.
Their journey to the west is done, now they have to grow. Disposed them in the tent, keeping the two others already there in the middle. Tried to find a good balance with the lamp height and got a between. Will check if it's enough for them and will experiment until i find the sweet spot.
Babies didn't grow much but leaves did. A bit scared the lamp is getting too far with the other ladies growing good. We'll see... Close to light the cob, so i guess that will help them afterwards. Still playing with the lights height, but i think i sent them one week too late to have the proper différence of height.. will keep note of it, even if going maybe only 4 at once next time (think i'll have enough stock to gold on and create an easier cycle).
Those ladies look like gnomes with their sisters on their sides. But they're doing good, leaves look nice, third set for the three of them. Was a bit scared of potential lack of light as i had to take it higher for the 2 sisters, but it didn't seem to bother. Have switched on "strong" mode on the lights to see if it helps, dunno yet if it's the reason why they didn't care about the light going upper (as a matter of fact i know they can handle on the lower ppfd sides, but still i don't have anything to give a good mesure so it's not rocket science...)
For now humidity isn't a problem for them, it will be afterwards if i don't find a way to fix it, thinking of another fan for now and later on will probable add an interaction, though the whole room has quite high humidity levels i think i should figure that out first.
Week 4
AtM they are 15-17 and 22 cm
Light is at 113cm, due to they're taller sisters.
Plants are doing good, a bit hard top find the right spot with the two others, but they're getting enough light it seems.
As having only a few clips left, and also been curious, have done LST with one clip on the main cola of one. A bit hard not to break it, but had to try..... She seems to recover and clip did it's job, so thumbs up, though it was really chirurgical not to damage her.
Week 5
Girls are doing good. The one and only LST clip did it's job, the lady recovered quick and is now acting as it was a regular LST.
Still have to make up with the light do high because of the tall sisters, but they don't seem to be bothered, so i guess it's fine.
Week 6
Plants entering pre-flower.
Funny, but they're all 10cm difference. Tallest 57cm, middle 47cm and LST one 37cm....
It's nice to see the two types of grow and am curious to see how it will go
Week 7
Another week went and flowering is accelerating. They're almost growing at the same pace, 75-66 cm for the tall and "small" one, 58 cm for the LST one... I know see the real difference doing the LST, it has grown more bushy, didn't expect it to be this much, will have to think about it next time. The elder sisters and those three don't have the same smell though it's close. So happy with this batch, though still struggling with humidity control.

Same as for the elder sisters, not much to say. They're doing good and start to smell a little, a bit confusing with the sisters....🤤
I call them "taller" and "shorter" as with the LST one i don't know which would really have been taller 😅... Speaking of....she is taking lot of room, i didn't expect that, but maybe it will make the others buds to push up seeking light.
Week 10
Schedules changed at work, and didn't have much time to make an entry.
Week went well, they have more space since Legolas and Gimli went out on their journey to Aman... The LST did well but i think it was done in a quite noobie way, cause now i can see i could have done more to give the branches more space, but no regrets as it was quite wide in the room and took much space along with her sisters.
Week 11
They got used to the Space nicely. Lights are now 40cm from the tops, was easier now they're alone in the room.
One is doing a little quicker (the tallest one), but the other two are going quite the same pace.
I didn't excepect that but noticed the top bud from the main cola still doesn't grow the same way as the other branches "topbuds", which make it noticeable.
A last thing i've been told and definitely learned is the need of nutes, si next time will go for it.
Week went so so, my bad. With work been a little overhelming it was hard to find time for the ladies so they suffered lack of watering...
But the buds look great, trichs starting to grow golden under the 'scope.
Maybe this is their last week.
Those pour ladies suffered from lack of attention on the end. Mostly lack of watering. Also had a spider-mites issue that didn't help either. In the end the weight is quite good, i mean for all the errors i've been making on this batch.
