I researched, growstones are made from recycled glass? Are they basically like perlite? Or do they add nutes? 😸 Is the big white chunky stuff in the pot a growstone?

@SlowpokeFuegobud, it is recycled glass. Very expensive and is more porous then perlite. It's the best in my opinion as far as a drainage and air retainer in roots. It's expensive enough I pluck it out of old substrate and use it again, and again etc. Noone makes it when i last looked. I use course grade. It's why you see them often in my base of plant pictures. They will float out of substrate when I feed the plants. In my particular case they are for drainage in NY coco grows. 🤜🤛

@JamMAKEcan, it's hard on the ph drop in coco. Recommend dose is too strong. Beside that it has been doing the job pretty well
