7/25/2018 Germinated 1 OG Kush seed in a shot glass of water, took approximately 30 hrs. Seedling went into a rock-wool cube that had been curing in rooting solution, stable at 5.8pH. Within 24 hrs the seedling has sprouted and is currently standing approximately two and a half inches now being transferred into an 6 inch Grodan Hugo rock-wool cube. The cube was placed in a square pot sitting on 3/4 inches of hydroton. So far so good. We will continue to update throughout the weeks!
Week 2 for this OG Kush momma has come and gone. We added a quarter dose of Fulife as well as coco A & B and fed her twice this week. She is growing faster than we had originally anticipated in the rock- wool and its incredible, the node stacking is super tight as we're approaching on the 4th set of leaves with no signs of slowing down. Possibly looking to top in a week or so with a potential mainlining to follow. 👍
This OG Kush plant is going strong. Haven't ran into any issues , deficiencies, or toxicities. Went ahead and maintained the same nutrient dosages throughout the week, looking to add some CalMag starting week 4. We will be topping at the 3rd node to prepare for a main-line.
Starting off for week 4 we've added some CalMag from General Hydroponics @ a quarter dose. This week has also seen a top in the early week, as well as main-line started just before this post was made. The OG is still looking fantastic and we're really looking forward to the coming weeks. Current planning is to let our main-line stretch out a few nodes before topping all four again. This should create a gorgeous bush to clone off of, as well as prepare the plant for our trellis netting before flowering her.
This week we defoliated and spread the beginning of the mainline. We had to re tie and defoliate a second time within the week! Nutrients have been slightly scaled up and will be increasing dosages as needed.
Depending on growth rate, we hope to top the larger four tops and let the OG start getting vertical!
Not much to say this week. Everything is running smoothly, We are still defoliating often. Also each of the 4 main arms got a FIM cut as well. Should be seeing some great growth in the coming weeks.
This week WAS smooth sailing in veg until we had a power outage. After which we decided to take it as the start of flower!! The OG plant seems to be ready for it as shes stretching beautifully already and looking mighty healthy!
So this week ended up being our 1st week of flower. It wasn't originally planned this way, but we're gonna run with it, while also starting a few new seeds for our next grow. As you could imagine, we've seen a lot of stretch this week. And our bud sites are showing pistils as of a day or so ago. Should be seeing some bud forming in the coming week!
This week we've encountered an unfortunate event. Our OG stretched much more than anticipated, growing into our light, and ultimately getting burned. Seeing as we're using a 2x2x4 tent we've run out of space to move the light up and decided to super crop the tallest stalks. Regret for not using a trellis has definitely set in. We're hopeful that she'll keep trucking along and produce some big beautiful buds.
Another week come and gone. Went ahead and did another super crop in an attempt to maintain some semblance in our canopy. Trich production has started, seems to be going strong.
She seems to be on autopilot this week. Were seeing some heavier trichome production as well as bud size increasing as soon as we added in open sesame. Soon to add mid bloom boosters as well. The scent on her is also getting stronger, very earthy and piney. were getting some early onset of that OG "gas" smell. Enjoy this weeks pictures!
Unfortunately, this week we started seeing some light burn due to the prolonged close exposure to our light. No more room to move the light, our tent at capacity, and multiple supper croppings across the plant; we've decided to just let it ride through this flower cycle. Now turning more attention to our next grow, in our brand new 6x8x8 room.
