Decided to go ahead and grow a second Gelato from fast buds seeing as the first one I did a while back was such 🔥 hopefully I can get a repeat performance.
Seed was soaked in water for 24hrs then placed in a rapid rooter tucked in a one liter air pot filled with soil. A plastic bag held in place with a rubber band served as a humidity dome. 🌱
No issues for gelato from fast buds in her first week, looking healthy. 🍨🍨
I'm using a small tent this time around to start the plants in before moving them to my normal setup. It seems to make it easier to keep the temperature and especially the humidity at a good level for the little ones.
The second week for gelato #2 passed in the blink of an eye or so it seemed. She looks perfectly happy and healthy. I will be transplanting her tomorrow into a five gallon fabric pot which will be her home for the rest of the grow. 🍨🍨
Gelato #2 🍨🍨 from fast buds was transplanted on day 15 into a five gallon fabric pot filled with a water only soil mix she was 3.75". On day 18 she was 5.75" when I started to LST her. She is taking to it well.
This Gelato from fast buds is growing vigorously and is probably going to be much larger than the first one I grew a while back , that one finished out at a ft. tall and a ft. sq. This one is practically that big now.
I will be topdressing her later this week with something called End Game Flowering Mix that contains a mix of the following.
Fishbone Meal, Fertoz, Soil Kashi, Gypsum, Aragonite, Insect Frass, Kelp Meal, K-mag Granular, Crab/lobster shell Chunks, Basalt Micro-fines
I'll be giving her a 1/2 cup this week and another in 3 wks per instructions.
We'll see how that works out .
This second Gelato here from fast buds is already taller than the final height of the first one I grew and is showing no sign of slowing down. Constantly having to adjust the height of the light for this one.
🍨🍨
Gelato #2 here has been growing by leaps and bounds. She stretched over a foot this week and now stands at thirty inches. Probably will have to keep her under a different light than the others, as she's getting a little too big for her own good lol. Drinking like a sailor on leave , taking a gallon every other day right now.
Well Gelato #2 is an absolute beast I had to setup a light for her outside the tent as she is way too big to fit in there. Towards the end of the week I will probably be topdressing her again with another half cup of End Game Flowering Mix .
Gelato #2 had her second and final topdressing with a half cup of End Game Flowering Mix at the beginning of the week. Starting to give off a nice scent when you brush against her.🍨

Topdressed with a half cup of End Game Flowering Mix
This second Gelato from fast buds is one of the thirstiest plants I have grown . She is guzzling 144oz of water every third day.
She's not growing large colas but the bud sites go from head to toe on this beast so I think yield is going to be decent. Time will tell 🙂
This fast buds Gelato #2 is making some beautiful looking nuggets 😁 She seems to be doing a bit of self defoliating which is working out just fine as it is allowing the lower nugs to get light.☀️

Gelato #2 has come to the end of the run
Last check of the trichomes confirmed she is ripe and ready.
Some time in the next few days when time permits she will be harvested.
The next update will be in a month or two after she has had time to dry and cure.
✌️😁💨
An easy to grow strain that produces some tasty and potent buds. I would like to see less variation from plant to plant but that would be my only complaint. 🌱
This second Gelato from fast buds grew nothing like the first one. Other than they both produced some topnotch buds.
She was started in a 1 liter air pot and moved to a 5 gallon fabric pot filled with a living soil mix on day 15 .
At the beginning of flower and again 3 weeks later she was topdressed with a half cup of End Game Flowering Mix
Which contains the following
Fishbone Meal, Fertoz, Soil Kashi, Gypsum, Aragonite, Insect Frass, Kelp Meal, K-mag Granular, Crab/lobster shell Chunks, Basalt Micro-fines
Other than that she was only given water and a few doses of compost tea.
She was probably the most thirsty plant I have grown, drinking a gallon plus every two days or so.
Total grow time was 110 days
She finished the grow at 38" tall by 24"×24" wide.
I removed 815 grams wet
Trimming was a breeze
Weight after drying and then curing for two months is 151.20g / 5.40 oz
A damn fine harvest from an auto in my opinion. 🙂
@Civicgrows,
Thanks
Don't know about beautiful lol but definitely looking like a whole lot of bud 😂
Personally I thought the first gelato I grew was a real looker but not so much this one. But I don't grow them to look at them 🔥💨
Looks exactally like the one i have going right now. Im at week 7 but same plant down to the stretch the red stem and the early fade. Hope she taste as food as my first 3 which were alot shorter
