Germination of these Barneys Farm Genetics took only 2 days. I moist a paper towel and fold the seeds into it. I then take the folded moist/wet paper towel and place it into a Ziplock sandwich bag unzipped.
From Germination, these seedlings were placed in an area with some low intensity lighting so they were a little weak and stretched. I used garden wire to prop up the seedlings until they strengthened up.
In the flower stage I count day one on the day I start to see Pre-flowers. Although this soil is dense in nutrition and may be able to feed these plants throughout the rest of the grow, I top feed with a 4-4-4 dry amendment as well as Coast Of Maines Buds and Blooms. It is my way of insuring the plant will be happy and well fed throughout the flowering cycle.
We are getting closer, we are actually about to cross over into week 10 flower. The first plant is 100% in the harvest window however, not where im ready to pick her at yet anyway. I'm going to keep watering and see how they mature over atleast the next two weeks. Cheers!!
These plants were harvested at different times. I cut the one on the left of the tent down as it was maturing at a faster rate. Three days later I felt the other plant was ready and harvested.
I harvested by cutting off the main branches and removing all of the fan leaves as my natural climate is about 60% RH this time of year, I then lightly trimmed leaving 60-70% of the material on the buds in order to retain a little moisture to prolong the dry. I hung the buds upside down in the 2 x 2 tent they were grown in as it is already a controlled environement. I have a 6in AC infinity carbon filter exhaust fan running at variable speed depending on temp and humidity. The tent ranged from 55% - 60% RH and between 65-71degrees F. Most buds reached optimal dryness around 9 to 11 days (I pull anything out that is dry enough as I'm not one for super dry herbs).
Overall, a solid grow with very little setbacks. Plant really liked being trained and I bet I could really push some yields with this one in future grows.
These girls flowered for just over 11 weeks!
