meneerGreen Pineapple Sativa
This round in the Space bucket 2.0, I'm going to plant a Pineapple Sativa from Kera seeds. This is a new strain for me and a new seed bank, so I'm curious about what it will be/is. Below are the specifications of the strain, which is Sativa dominant, and what they say about it; it sounds promising anyway.
Characteristics of Kera Pineapple Sativa cannabis seeds:
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation
• These cannabis seeds are easy to grow
• The effect is a physical stoned feeling with an uplifting high
• Can be used as medicinal cannabis for issues like nausea, stress, and pain
• Brand: Kera Seeds
Description:
Kera Pineapple Sativa from Kera Seeds are feminized cannabis seeds that have been created by crossing Blue Dream X White Widow. This has resulted in a cannabis plant of very good quality with Sativa dominant genetics. Kera Seeds Kera Pineapple Sativa are cannabis seeds that are ideal for the beginner grower because they are very easy to maintain. This cannabis plant is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation and can yield very well under the right conditions. It grows like a typical Sativa with long slender leaves and reaches a decent height, so give it plenty of space to grow. This cannabis has a delightful old-school haze flavor with sweet, fresh, and fruity influences. The effect of smoking it is a relaxing stoned feeling with an uplifting and energetic high. This strain is used for its medicinal properties in cases of stress, pain, and nausea, which is why it can also be referred to as medicinal cannabis.
Features:
Seed bank: Kera Seeds
Genetics: 80% Sativa / 20% Indica
Type: Feminized
Flowering time: 9 - 10 weeks
Harvest month outdoors: Mid-October

Of course, I first cleaned and disinfected everything again, and I also brought in some Plagron lightmix (since that's in my shed) so it can warm up a bit. I filled a small pot with soil and moistened it with pH-adjusted water with a root stimulator.
On 21-10, I placed 1 seed for germination using the coffee filter method, which has given me the best results so far. You might wonder why just 1 seed, but I trust that it will germinate, and otherwise, I would have to throw away a plant, which I’m not keen on. If it doesn’t germinate, I’ll take another seed until I have one that works, but usually, one is enough for me. Since it usually takes 48 hours for me, I should be able to plant in 2 days. It’s older seed from my stash, so if it takes a day longer, that’s fine, and as I said, we’ll just start over.
On 22-10, I prepared a small pot of soil (lightmix). I made pH-adjusted water with root stimulator, EC 0.4, pH 5.9, and 0.5 ml of root stimulator in half a liter of water.
On 24-10, the seed had a nice little root today, so I planted it. I added a little more water (same ratio as yesterday). I also put a cover on it to keep it dark until it breaks through the soil; I do this so it can benefit from the warmth.
On 25-10, the lady showed her little head today, so I removed the cover I had put on yesterday; she can now enjoy the 18/6 light schedule.
On 26-10, she was already standing tall in her temporary housing; she seems to be excited.
On 28-10, I only gave a little pH-adjusted water with root stimulator; she’s not really dry, so I’m taking it easy with the water for now.

I haven't measured the temperatures and RH, but it should be somewhat the same as the tent in the same room, so with the lights on, around 23 to 24 degrees, and the RH will fluctuate around 65 to 70 since that's the RH in the room where the tent and the grow cabinet are located. The bucket is also here, but it’s not running this week.
Other than that, the KPS is growing really well, and it’s expected to go into the bucket probably next week.

10-11, today I prepared the soil for the bucket, it wasn't too wet so I added 2 liters of pH-adjusted water with root stimulator, they're definitely going to get this in the first week. As soil, I'm going to use lightmix from Plagron as always.
I also prepared 5 liters of pH-adjusted water with root stimulator and some Silica Power ratio, 0.5 ml S.P, 2 ml R. St., and 1 ml + 10 drops pH- = EC 0.4, pH 5.8, I'm going to measure this again tomorrow and adjust if necessary.
11-11, today I checked the water again, added another 20 drops of pH-, the values are now EC 0.4 and pH 6.0. Also, today I transferred the lady to the Space bucket, she had nice roots, I poured in another liter of water, I hung the lamp at 32 cm and the lux meter shows 27000 lux, seems good for the start.
I'm going to check the temperature and RH tomorrow after it's been sitting for a day, you can't really say much right after transferring and setting up the bucket.

November 25, today I raised the lamp a bit from 15 to 22 cm, the lux meter shows 41,000, the lady is now 24 cm tall, there won't be much change in the coming time because I'm going to scrog.
I'm also still just giving pH-adjusted water for a little while longer, I think one more week and then I'll slowly start adding nutrients.

On the last day of this week, she had nutrients for the first time, EC 1.3, pH 6.2. I’m not sure if it was really necessary yet, but I’ll see how the plant responds. In the previous round, I felt like I started feeding a bit too late, so this time I’m starting a bit earlier and taking it easy.

Since I can't choose grams for nutrients and I'm using powdered nutrients (Powderfeeding from Greenhouse), I can't fill that in. I'm pretty much following the schedule, so it can be found in the Greenhouse feeding.
And above you can see which EC values I'm applying.
The 2 EC values come from feeding every other day, according to the feeding schedule.
I'll also grab the lux meter in the bucket this coming week; during the last measurement, it was 41000 lux, so let's see if that's a bit higher now. I'm expecting it to be, and I'm okay with that.
Also, this week I pruned some leaves and secured some shoots, so no complaints at the moment.

This lady is doing great at the moment, not much to do this week, maybe just removed a single leaf, but that's about it.
She is quite fast, two weeks after the switch and she's already in bloom, so I'm starting to count the flowering weeks from next week.

Another nice and quiet week in terms of work, just raised the light since it was only 10 cm from the tops, I didn't measure the lux and I actually find that a bit disappointing, the light is now back at 18 cm and that gives a lux of 50000.
Despite getting nutrients with the watering, she looks nice in color with this feed, the tops are starting to grow pretty well but it's still too early for the booster, I'll start that in week 2 or 3 and then continue until the second to last week of the harvest.

This week I removed some leaves, quite a bit actually, and I also started with PK booster this week (28-12) in the ratio of 0.4 grams PF and 0.4 grams PK. I still need to look up the exact ratio, but I wanted to give a heads-up that starting next week I'll be following the schedule again. She's getting nutrients every other day, so she had it twice this week.
In the photos, I included a schedule of the nutrients; I follow it as much as possible, but of course, I also pay attention to what the plant needs or asks for, so it might vary a bit.

This lady is doing well, she does show some brown pistils but that's probably because I was busy pruning leaves last week.
I will now slowly raise the EC a bit more to a max of around 1.7 to 1.8; for a sativa, that seems high enough to me. The starting EC here is 0.4, so I end up with EC1.4 in nutrients, and I never really give more than that to a plant.
I’m also giving a bit of Calmag preventively (5 drops per liter) because in the last round, I felt there was a slight deficiency, and I want to avoid that this time. Let’s see how this grow turns out this way.

I’ve started giving a slightly higher EC towards the end of the week, now at 1.8, it won’t go much higher, at least not by much. I’ve also slightly increased the pH during this phase of flowering, keeping it around 6.3 to 6.5.
I also pruned some leaves so that light can reach the ladies better, and I expect to have less fluff, at least that’s what I’m hoping for. I’ve now hung the lamp at 20 cm with 50000 lux.

Everything is going well here, the leaves I trimmed last week seem to be doing the lady good, the light is coming through nicely now, so I’m hoping for some nice buds, and it should be good because I switched to 12/12 a bit too early this time, so it hasn't filled out completely, a bit of a bummer, but I hope the yield will be decent even though I don't think I'll hit 1.5 grams per watt.
But she still has about three weeks to go, so there's always hope. I've already started pre-growing the new one for the bucket, which means she went into the soil today.

This lady is entering her last few weeks, I did have to remove a bud at the end of this week (2-2) due to bud rot, but luckily I caught it early so I was able to save most of the bud.
I’ve realized that this strain is sensitive to that, so it’s something to keep in mind next time I grow her. The RH is averaging around 60 to 63% with spikes both up and down, and there are times when I'm much higher and have no issues.

Not much to report about this lady, she's maturing nicely. I checked the trichomes today (10-2) with the pocket microscope and there's not a lot of milky ones yet, definitely no amber. I did check by the door and they get the least light there, so I'll take another look this week to see if I can peek a bit further into the bucket, right under the lamp.

This whole week I've been giving her deacidified water, with the only addition being a few drops of Silica power per liter of water.
For this lady, it's definitely the last week; the next one is already in the starting blocks and is itching to get going, so we won't try to hold her back any longer. I've already topped her to slow her down a bit, so time is drinking a little.
Due to illness, I've had to hand over the work at the end of this week to my wife and son; it just wasn't possible anymore.
A nice little one and I will definitely plant it again, I will let it grow a bit longer before switching to 12/12

I didn't have fluff, the smallest buds were rock hard, the decision to remove a lot of leaves from the plants was a good one, and I will apply this in all my grows from now on or at least strive for it.
