RonnieB Obviously 4 plants arent on week 1. They are on week 3 and 6. I also pre mix my nutrients in a 30 gallon container. Checkinh the tds before each feed due to evaporation. I cant mix this many nutrients and supplements 1 gallon at a time. I only add enzymes and microbes right before watering. I thought I had lost my MOJO. My last few grows were not great an all. I went back to my basics, see my very first diary and you'll understand. This one is starting that way. I'm also using airdomes in 4 pots. You put airdome in bottom of smart pot cove about 80% of it with pebbles and the rest with coco. My 4 biggest 1 week old plants have the airdome pumping 15 liters an hour. I alos built my first 30 gallon mixing station. Only thing I have to add is enzymes and microbes

RonnieB Everything seems to be going well. 4 of the 6 inch tall plants are tied down 90 degrees with air domes pumping 15l an hour through hydro pebbles and coco. I'm having to water then a little every day. They are guzzling it. The 3 plants that look sort of mainline are budding nicely. Removing lower growth and popcorn buds. Gonna start Removing more big fan leaves in a week or 10 days and trim lower growth a little. All in all I think it's coming along

RonnieB They really have jumped since last week. Feel free to compare. This is called a perpetual grow for you newbies. The idea is have enough plants at different weeks in life in hopes they follow each other by days or 3 weeks max. Replant 2 weeks before harvesting any plants or plant so they'll have a head start. Then harvest, plant seeds, harvest and so on. This way I'll never be far from some bud. Instead of waiting on a whole grow. I gave plants always a lot closed to being finished

Please let me know. I had started some very bad habits about growing and my results were obvious. I had gotten off track. I was over feeding over pruning stressing the plants too much. Now I water water feed, water water feed. Bought a humidifier for the seedlings, lmk thanks.

wow, you have individual parts for each nute it seems? Nice! total control over nute ratios and ppms.. love it. The one pic looks liek you may have lollipopped or defoliated a little extra but certainly has enough canopy to finish. could also be the angle of the picture (top-down) exaggerating it. less is more when removing leaves. They power all growth, so you want as much as you can without causing high local RH levels that might encourage microbial growth. ATP (energy for putting biological building blocks together - in our bodies too!) is mobile although a local leaf will provide more to local area on plant than one far away obviously. Irrigation since you mentioned it... always water entire pot and you want 10% or more in soilless grow. This runoff is 'waste' water.. don't let them set in it. You can toss this water outside in a garden where the potential imbalances and concentration will be mitigated easily. Or, toss it down a drain. EC is best way to measure this stuff, cause hanna, and 2 other companies use different conversion factors to "ppm or TDS". So, if i quote ppms and we have 2 different brand meters, it's impossible to communicate clearly for obvious reasons. So, if i mention ppm it's calculated from the labels which will be the same no matter who calculates them. Any meter reading on other hand is better to use EC or CF which is consistent around the world. While you lok to have already dialed it in, a nutrient calculator is useful in a soilless or hydro grow, since we control 100% of what theplant receives. It really helps to track this stuff as you'll find clear-cut min/max levels that are very translateable between grows, though not 100% due to some genetic differences... but far less than most ppl perceive. i regularly run 6-7 strains that are very happy with my mix. I don't need 5 reservoirs with 5 different concentrations. That's a sign of an imbalanced, esoteric mix. Anyway, manic botanix has a nutrient ppm calcualter.. simply type in % off guaranteed analysis labels of products and tabulate it. If you know the math, you can easily make a re-usable spreadsheet. I have one around somewhere but it does not account for specific gravity, if that is needed for your products (my stuff is dry). W/v% or w/w% is key factor there.. labels should mention this distinction. believe it's the w/v% that needs SG? the manic botanix online thing does account for it.

Hello! I would say they all look good! The only one you can see that has suffered a bit is the purple one at 7 weeks of flowering, you can tell it had a burn from nutrients, but just giving it water like you are doing will be fine! The vegetative ones look great!!! You are very good don't worry, remember that "a little less" is always better than a little more...keep it up! anyway, another 2-3 weeks for the night owl :)

RonnieB Plants are doing better than expected. I had 2 dimmers going bad so I lost some par. You don't realize how dim you lights are getting unti you fire up a new one. Then you'll see it. I called got two free dimmers and they made things right again. Temps are 15 degrees higher even. I tried various methods of training to see which is most productive advice is welcome.

hey there growmie, just dropping in to say hi! i'll follow along but dont be shy to tag me. Straight up right now, i'll tell you this : looks like the feeding schedule is much too complicated , this will cause problems, for example one issue i'm seeing right now is N-excess , which you can tell by the "too dark green" aspect of the leafs , try cutting the kelp out, that will usually help. i'm just here to help you out growmie, dont take this as criticism at all, yeah? i think you're actually doing not bad at all πŸš€

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for the advice. These are indica and can take a heavy feed. I start veg at around 900 tds. With plants I'm familiar with. Plants that are new I do 600 tds and slowly work my way up. But you aren't wrong I've burned my share of plants but always during flower. Now I water enzymes, water enzymes, then feed. If you look at my first diary .thats my very first grow and it went down hill after that because I was trying new things. Now I'm back to basics. I missed week 2 or 3 depending on the plant but. I'm using air domes on 4 plants. No autopots. Just the air pump hydro pebbles and coco. The control plants without domes are about 35% smaller. I turned the domes on on week two and they took off. 15 liters an hour of oxygen hitting those roots and 100% maintenance free. I highly recommend using them. They're cheap and work like a mad man. My holding tank is around 1300 tds. So I add water to my feeding cans to 900 tds. Even for seedlings. They jump fast. But these are Indica dominant plants. They can take heavy feeds. Learned the hard way growing sativa. Burnt them slap up. But I water water feed getting 1.5 liters at least of run off per plant after They're big enough to take a gallon feed. But I think you're right. I'm definitely dancing with the devil. I'll cut tds to 700. I'll post pictures to day or tomorrow. I have a 15 plant grow with 4x4 coverage In 3x3, 9x5 coverage in the room. 3 X3-500 grow craft ChilLed Tech. Tent light is California 500, light in other room is 3x5 X3-500 single. I think with training I can handle 15 plants. Some are very large strains though. Purple pope, pope banner 3, queens banner, star spangled banner. All new night owl. Then rocbud purple roc berry v1, 2 mystery roc, 2 gods breath and ice gushers. Mephisto alien vs Triangle, forum stomper. I'm sure I. Forgetting something. If you're open to a suggestion. North Atlantic seeds has ethos banana daddy auto or photo. This plant and kush mints have been my most popular grows. Especially the banana daddy. It's the laughing most social weed I've ever seen. I'm talking 50 plus opinions. Not mine. They are still begging for it. Kush mints is new. My guy tested it and said he stared at a door knob for 4 hours lol

@CRiSPrGrow, I'm flattered but you only see my successes. It was a long road of burned plants curing and drying wrong. I once dried my bud in the litter box room when I was new at it. Talk about a weird taste. Cat piss kush anyone. I learned that patience and when in doubt less is more in this hobby. God knows I've wasted a mountain of cash figuring it out. The hardest part for me was keeping my hands off the plants drying and curing and over feeding during flower trying to bulk up the buds even more. But now I stop all nutrients after the final swell of the buds and give then enzymes and water. Then 10 days before harvest I don't water the plant at all. This stresses the plant and it'll put on a few more trichomes. During late flower I put my water in the fridge. This also helps with extra thick trichomes.

@CRiSPrGrow, cutting Kelp out? That's interesting I'll try that. Just don't take away my enzymes amino acids and microbes. I focus on growing roots. The plants will pretty much take care of them selves. RAW NPK, NPK VALUES are so high. You never use more than a 1/16 of a tsp of nitrogen the biggest spoon you'll use is 1/4. Check out growgreenmi.com they have mostly free shipping and the best prices on a lot or most nutes. Bogo sales and click on dank deals too. You can get some serious discounts on nutes and supplements up 75% off.

@CRiSPrGrow, I need some advice...When is the ideal time to remove giant fan leaves? Most my plants are on week 2 and have/had some huge fan leaves. I removed one or two from each plant but didn't want to shock it, but they shade everything out, especially plants tied down 90 degrees...
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrow commented3y ago
@RonnieB, i wouldnt worry too much about that inside the tent, when you close it the light gets a lot brighter than when it's open, there are almost no shady areas... but usually, if you do pluck the leaves (which you really shouldnt) , you want to make sure you're in veg not in flower...

@RonnieB, yeah man i've killed so many plants too haha , only those that have truly killed many can understand that's where you can learn a lot ^^

@CRiSPrGrow, check out this weeks entry and compare to last week. I water water feed, water water feed. Always flushing roots twice feeding once. I love dialing a plant in. Push it until I see a change. Then back up to where I was and I'll be dialed in. I'm cautious though. I know Indica dominant plants can take a heavier feed vs sativa. I've had a Mephisto Ripleys OG eating 2200-2400 and another plant couldn't take 1600 ppm. They're like kids. All different but the same in many ways. One kid might eat more than her sister

@RonnieB, eyo ronnie, are you legit on 24/7 ? if so , you really might want to start spraying with calmag instead of just using it to water... you'll see an immediate and positive difference - again, i'm not criticizing , just enjoying the ride and sharing some tips like calmag spray, is the way :-) πŸš€ basically you can spray up to 3 times a week with such a heavy schedule 0.3-0.5ml/L in the spray because it's much more potent as a spray than through the roots ;-)
RonnieB
RonnieB commented3y ago
@CRiSPrGrow, I've never sprayed calmag. Just regular foliar feed? Look at the growth on my last 2 entries and let me know what you think. I got a colab seeds from night owl and gnome aka Mandalorian genetics. Wizards apprentice x Anvil. These plants are growing faster than anything I ever seen. I went to my mom's for a day. I get home and one of them grew into the light touching it.
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrow commented3y ago
@RonnieB, yep that's it man, foliar feed , just mix as you normally would spray up to six times a day (plain water) or 2-3 times a week (w/feed) . When you're going 24/7 lights on the plant simply cant absorb enough through the roots, it just might be able to through the leafs if you're lucky though ! πŸš€ i like those gens growmie, gonna keep on following πŸ‘Š
RonnieB
RonnieB commented3y ago
@CRiSPrGrow, my mechanical timers were drifting. So until I get digital timers it's 24 7. My fan was blowing dust into the timer on the wall and the dust built up in the gears.
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrow commented3y ago
@RonnieB, yeah man, the logic is basically that a plant metabolism relies on light, right? so if you have 24/7 light so there is simply more metabolism happening, Ca+ and Mg+ are really important in cell metabolism , so if you have more metabolism you need more calmag. BUT calmag uptake efficiency through the roots is ~20% efficient and calmag absorption through the leafs is 80% efficient , that's why you need both when you need more calmag. You can already tell the plants are getting a bit stressed with the heavy light cycle. It's really quite difficult to achieve a healthy plant during a 24/7 light cycle ;-) πŸš€
