Seeds went in water for 12Hrs then transferred to damp paper towel inside ziplock and set in dark.
Germinated On Sunday. Actually, didn't have my area cleaned and prepped for them that day so I left them and planted them on Monday. By Monday cotyledons have already pushed the seed off. Today on 10-1, first true leaves are looking great. Pots are autopots a gift from elevatednoob.
Both Gorilla Punch Auto and Mandarin XL came in at 3.25 inches at almost 2 weeks. Zkittlez is a little stunted so far. First time that has happened with a strain from Seedsman. I will chalk it up to me getting the germinated plant out of the napkin a little late. Will update chemistry parameters when I bring my meters and soil test kit from work on week three for further diagnosis. Hopefully, it may still recover. Will add the autopots reservoir this week as well.
Got the plants on the reservoir for the autopots this week. They are just veggin. Nothing special this week, but still exciting. Zkittlez made a little progress.
A little browning of the leaves of Mandarin xl. Not too worried at this point, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Maybe the kelp solution I added into my reservoir will slow it down at least. Other 2 plants are fine.
Was away last week and came back and the gorilla punch was tickling the light. Plants could really use some low stress training, but don't have the space right now with other growing adventures going on. Still on some hydroponics kelp solution. Had some tips looking like they want more nutrients. Gave them a top feeding this week. Pleasantly surprised with zkittlez vs how it looked first couple of weeks. Probably end up being my lowest yield, but that is only because of the space it has in the corner.
Plants still suffering from a little nutrient deficiency. Was not sure how much to give them. Just trying to eyeball it using leaves as the markers because I do have osmocote in the soil as well. I don't want to overdo the nutrients this far into the grow. Just dosed them on Sunday and looking like I will dose them by the end of week again.
I'm going to try to limp in to the finish line. Originally plants had some nutrient deficiencies or so I thought. Now it appears from the tips that I've gave them a little too much. First time I used inert sandy loam soil, amended with perlite and fertilizer and on the new watering system. I think the problem originally originated from the soil. Now I also have some spots on the Gorrilla Punch, possible fungus. I also am just guessing a lot at this point. Roll on.
Not a bad week. Leaf spots are on both Gorilla Punch and Zkittlez. I'm sure it's effecting the output in some compacity, but they seem to be progressing fine. I like the sheening evergreen color of the Mandarin XL.
Decent yield. Dried for four days in paper towel. I do majority of trimming before drying, then take some more sugar leaves off if needed. Initially dried three days and I thought it was good at first. Weighed in at about 46g. I thought that was a little high as the buds were on the airy side. Came back and gave them another touch and it needed another night of drying. I put them in jars for curing. It's good temps where I'm at where it will be in the shed. Tested the buds and I'm a big fan of Mandarin XL. Harvest would have been larger if I wanted to put the time in and give them more space. Even if they are little airy, I enjoy the affects. Maybe could have let them flower about a week more, but decisions were made.
This week I will cut down the gorilla punch. Could use another week for best maturity and purple color of the buds gorilla punch is known for, but don't have time to do two at the same time next week.
Easy grow using the autopots. I usually don't do much training so, I really just took photos after I figured out the nutrients with the autopots.-Well good enough to get through this grow.
I didn't give it much space and it received less light, and the burn from being out of town to raise the light on week 6. Dense buds, just not many from growing in the corner and no training.
