This was the start of my 6th experiment of semi automating the tent conditions. The improvement over last grow is that the air stone was upgraded to 200mm microporous stone and the air pump replaced with a 7 watt dual pressure pump. The Seed popped within 14 hours using the paper towel method. This was the last of the bath that had been ordered over a year ago so expectations were not real high. Directly planted the popped seed in a rockwool cube soaked in nute water. Placed the cube with exactly one layer of clay underneath. Covered with clay. Water level was brought up to just below the net. Pump set to high pressure made the surface very turbulent and was great for slashing the clay with nute water.
As the week went on, noticed that she never really broke the ground. Found she was growing in the wrong direction, poor tap root was lost. Spun her around and tucked her back in. Didn't really take any photos as, to be honest, I thought she was going to give up. Heh, she had other plans.
Really outstanding comeback. Soon as seedling broke ground it took off. LED is on full spectrum. Leaves appear to naturally take on a bluish hue and also appear to be on the heavy side of nutrients. Going to ride this edge while she is responding good. Bubble action in the bucket is doing well. See some roots doing some circles in the net pot. Some secondary roots are starting to emerge.
She's doing great. System is managing itself fairly well. Change the water completely every week. Top off as needed. Roots were starting to emerge. High pressure bubbles were too violent for the young roots. Switched to low pressure and they are now swimming in millions of micro bubbles.
She's growing hard and fast. Thick and bushy. Probably defoliate the lower branches in the following week as they are are starting to die from lack of light. Root ball starting forming in the bucket. Switched air pump back to high pressure mode. The larger bubbles are now bubbling through the root ball.
Removed the dead leaves on the bottom to keep her clean. Pre-flower stretching starting. Removed small shoots on the bottom of canopy. Pistols starting to form on the offshoots.
