All seeds popped (very nicely) in less than 7 days (most showed on day 5 when pictures were taken) -- Had a seed being stubbornly stuck on one of the young sprouts. Gentle TLC, lots of water droplets, and some coerceing helped remove the shell. Normally, I would never recommend doing something like that but I saw the initial set of serrated leaves coming in, so I figured it was just stuck (and I was right). It's now adjusting itself and growing into its environment. All seedlings look healthy. Pretty good start for every seed to pop directly in substrate (soil). Additional note: these plants are being grown at 6000 ft. ;) Extra Additional note: My Northern Lights plant is not autoflower, but a fem :) ...So it's likely gonna be around the whole grow until I can find time to 12/12 without stunting the 8 baby autos. Will most likely incorporate LST to my autos when the time is right.

Solid week of progress. Having everyone sprout and look healthy was a nice surprise. (6/8 completely healthy, 2 of them slight overwatering but they have recovered. Minor stunting on them but nothing too significant.) The Northern Lights Auto is actually a Photo Fem that puts out white pistils but never bulks unless 12-12 (tested it last grow and now I can confirm under 18/6 it is revegging). I guess It'll also be an unofficial part of this grow. I've seen this particular cultivar (seeds harvested by the company that year) seem to have this tendency -- dunno why. I would bring it up to the grower/seed-distributor but I figure they've already gotten plenty of comments back about it. Documenting it here in case anyone ever deals with an autoflower that actually ends up being a photoperiod. Ideally in the next week or two I should start LST my plants (prob when I see 3 or 4 leaf sets) in an effort to increase surface area and increase bud production towards flowering. Gonna try experimenting with how close I can get my lights (sorta ruined by having the tall Northern Lights plant already but oh well). Just goes to show when growing you need to be ready to adapt and be flexible to your plants' needs.

Vigorous growth for vegatative week 3. The two stunted plants (due to a a mistake early on) are basically in full swing. Goes to show that being over-eager to water your litttle canna-babies can be a bad thing if you do too much... Photoperiod Northern Lights is just doing Photoperiod things back there... Solid week *NOTE* for nutrients, I probably won't really be able to list it in the website's setting for it, but it's basically just Fox Farms and Botanicare. Namely Fox Farms for the nutrients, and Botanicare for the more minute things (like Silica and CalMag). For Autos, always go like 25-30% of the recommended nutrient amounts in soil, especially if it is a good mix.

Great growth that hopefully continues into next week. Not much to say except nutrients. --Supplements-- Silica (Due to cold temps and temp swings) (Botanicare @ recommended dosage) Cal-Mag (To help maintain proper amount of "metals" in water feeding) (Botanicare @ 2ml [lowest recommended dosage]) Hydroguard (My thoughts are that this helps keep the roots 'safer' especially with helping organisms near roots to break down nutrients) (Botanicare @ recommended dosage) --Nutrients-- 5ml 'Grow Big' by Fox Farms (less than recommended dosage due to autos not needing as much) 5ml 'Tiger Bloom' by Fox Farms (this is included even though it's in vegitative phase because I think it helps give a solid "foundation" for autos to bloom into; also I need to keep Northern Lights photoperiod in back alive lol) 10 ml 'Big Bloom' by Fox Farms (general nutriets not found in concentrated forms -- really a more organic approach to grows; I have had successful AUTOFLOWER grows that basically only use this nutrient) These nutrients will remain this way until actual bloom and budding. Then I'll likely cut down on Grow Big to 0-2ml depending on stage and increase Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom depending on buds and if they need to "look fatter". My thoughts about LST in this particular grow are honestly diminishing. Considering the number of plants, and I'm already starting to get tight on space due to the extra plant in the grow room (looking at you NL "auto")... If I had the full space of my tent and these 8 plants, I would definitely go for some control on them... But considering I am growing for bulk and I am limited on time, I'll just settle with whatever these girls can produce naturally (plus I'll try to move large fan leaves out of the way... possible defoliation depending on if they are blocking bud sites later on, etc) If you want to grow for actual maximum yields, LST here would be far more recommended. I'm basically being lazy :P

Really rapid growth though this last week. I'm happy with the overall sizes of these plants were they to bloom now, but I think Larry Lemon Auto is still gonna grow a few more inches at least. Only major thing I've changed is I'm putting Cream Cookies up on a higher shelf starting this week (11/9). I want to see what effect this will have on it, to be honest. If I notice it doing worse, I'll likely just move it back to the floor. This new, explosive veg growth is making it hard to find room for everyone.

Grow Questions

Why am I getting slight yellowing on the ends of new-growth leaves? It's affecting every plant. The only clue I have is that it might(?) be related to very cold nights because of my re-vegged photoperiod showing purpling on the edges of its leaves. Any ideas?

Strange it is the only one showing all over yellowing the other autos like larry auto are green and healthy. Some strains really do not like Leds, they need to be more acclimatised to them, they can bleach those leafs in no time, maybe this one too does not like LEDS? Also could be ph lock out if your water is very high in salts and soil could not regulate it anymore...Maybe transplant with new soil and check your ph is not too high. Good luck!

With the increase to the light schedule (22/2), and with the reduction in overall tent humidity (~42%), I've found that I have to water these plants almost daily. I am giving them blooming nutriets as well as some Botanicare supplements to help them with the more extreme conditions of this grow. I am also growing at an elevation of about 6000 ft. So far, the best looking one out of the bunch is LSD-25 Auto, but they all are coming along nicely. Even Cream Cookies is starting to produce ample bud sights. The tags for the pictures might(?) be off because I'm forgetting where I put Gelato and where I put GlueBerry Og... but I'm *pretty sure* this is correct :^)

Better bud development this week :) I also forgot to take a picture of one of the plants, but it is shown in the overall view. I think it was Pineapple Express #2 Auto -- that plant in particular is doing great with it's horizontal spread and budding-sights development (should be below the towering Northern Lights "Auto" plant I have back-right). Sorry for this week being so scatterbrained :^) I'll make sure the final pictures of each plant are extensive, especially before harvest (which seems it will likely be staggered harvests due to differing flowering speeds, which is normal with multi-strain grows) Defoliation really only to expose extra bud sights and to remove VERY large fan leaves from bottoms of some plants (for better light penetration and air flow). Better pictures of defoliation results will be in the coming weeks. Lastly, a big thanks to the answers left on the growing question I had a couple weeks ago -- It seems everyone but Pineapple Express Auto #2 has moved beyond that "yellowing tips" issue -- I believe it was a salt buildup combined with colder nights, but looking at it now, it could also just be the plants sensitivity to LED lights. Since I increased the light schedule to 22 hours on and 2 hours of dark, they seem to be growing better and have less "issues" (likely related to cold).
