Solid week of progress. Having everyone sprout and look healthy was a nice surprise. (6/8 completely healthy, 2 of them slight overwatering but they have recovered. Minor stunting on them but nothing too significant.) The Northern Lights Auto is actually a Photo Fem that puts out white pistils but never bulks unless 12-12 (tested it last grow and now I can confirm under 18/6 it is revegging). I guess It'll also be an unofficial part of this grow. I've seen this particular cultivar (seeds harvested by the company that year) seem to have this tendency -- dunno why. I would bring it up to the grower/seed-distributor but I figure they've already gotten plenty of comments back about it. Documenting it here in case anyone ever deals with an autoflower that actually ends up being a photoperiod.
Ideally in the next week or two I should start LST my plants (prob when I see 3 or 4 leaf sets) in an effort to increase surface area and increase bud production towards flowering. Gonna try experimenting with how close I can get my lights (sorta ruined by having the tall Northern Lights plant already but oh well). Just goes to show when growing you need to be ready to adapt and be flexible to your plants' needs.
Why am I getting slight yellowing on the ends of new-growth leaves? It's affecting every plant. The only clue I have is that it might(?) be related to very cold nights because of my re-vegged photoperiod showing purpling on the edges of its leaves. Any ideas?
Strange it is the only one showing all over yellowing the other autos like larry auto are green and healthy. Some strains really do not like Leds, they need to be more acclimatised to them, they can bleach those leafs in no time, maybe this one too does not like LEDS? Also could be ph lock out if your water is very high in salts and soil could not regulate it anymore...Maybe transplant with new soil and check your ph is not too high. Good luck!
