Starting to soak 4 seeds hopefully I get a girl,This time around.
08/08/2018
All seed sunk to bottom after 12hrs, planted in oasis cubes along side parent plant. CaptaIns cake. (Females) and 3 GTH clones from stinkiest female.
08/09/2018
I see 1 seed rising to the top of oasis cube.posting pics soon.
08/12/2018
Excitement is starting again, planning on putting #1 in hydro (DWC) in week two or three . All the other's #2,3,4 in soil.

MG2009 Keeping humidity dome on and misted, temps up to for comfy root development. Other seeds are poking a little, I think? We will see in am .
PS. I am going to look at codytoldons leave under magnification, and log what I see. It has been suggested that leaf hairs closely coralates to good resin production.
08/15/2018
Put 1st sprout in DWC . Still waiting on the other's to sprout. #2,#3,#4.
Will be using pure water til she lets me know she is hungry.
Might do a 12-12 grow after a couple sets true leaves, any thoughts on this? Please share your opinion on 12-12 grows.π
08/17/2018
Turned blue LED LIGHTS to 50% from 25%, adjusting slowly do 75% in week 3.
Hi there ! If you medium (oasis cubes) is good for cloning , they will be good for seedling too ! When using that king od cubes for seedling it is better to not put the seed too deep to avoid that kind of issues ! According to me your seeds are late timers and will sproot in a couple days , or your seeds are non viable so you'll maybe need to replace them ! Hope it will help you ππ
MG2009 08/21/2018
Day 1 week 3
Starting the week with second set of leaves,1st real leaves single leaves, second set is 3. It looks like one of the seedling leave is fading?.. Watching, maybe add nutes ? this week
08/22/2018
First root touching water! Here come the roots!π for good week. Not sure when I add nutes. Maybe mid week. The codytledons (seedling leaves) are still healthy suggesting to me they still have nutes for seedling growth.
08/25/2018
More leaves, more roots, still no nutes, codytledons still looking good no fade.
08/26/2018
Uploaded root shots, codytledons may be withering away look closer tomorrow mornin
08/27/2018
Got up to 90Β° in tent, I turned on the red spectrum last night at 25%, Blue spectrum is at 100%
Also some signs that codytledons turning pale, nutes coming soon 1/2 strength πͺ of course see how she responds increase as needed.

Seedling leaves turning pale, started nutrients today Advanced Nutrients Grow,Micro,Bloom at .25% quarter strength πͺ of recommendation. I will ease her into the nutes. First res. Change today also.
Ps.
I noticed under day light she has burgundy coloured stems, like her mom but we will see if adding nutes changes this... I believe it's genetic ! π
Also changed lights to 16-8 and red spectrum turned to 50%, prepare her for the flip!.....
09/05/2018
Noticed i noticed in the last pic a little fert burn π₯ but that's why I increase it slow π but got decent amount of growth so onto 1/2strength for next reservoir change in week 5 .π

She has grow a littleπ bit, going to 1/2 strength nutes in res change today. Can't believe how thick her stem is! Had slight leaf tip burn from ferts but not enough to be concerned about. Started week with 9 liters in DWC bucket. Will top as needed with plain water. . Note: remember rinse hydroton!
09/10/2018
Getting nice growth this week,a little more leaf tip burn, but not excessive amount, also I topped her today I believe that I will go to 3/4strength next change and full strength for flowering.which is when I bring red spectrum up to 100%.

Nutes up to 2/3strength, going up to full at next reservoir change. She is putting on nice growth, had to raise light due to leaf burn, but only one leave affected, I think I will flip to flowering next week. She has 9fingered leaves but in veg she's very Indica like, hopping she has more sativa like flower stretch.π
Topped and lite defoliation.

Today's the day we flip to 12-12 and full strength nutes, roots have filled in nicely, and she is growing,I fear if I don't flower now she may get to big for my tent, I'm hoping that she only stretches 1.5-2 x,but if she got the sweet pink grapefruit genes it could be a 3x stretch that I hoped for.
But we will see .let the magic begin!
09/24/2018
Supercropping, and scrog day 4 after flip stretched,4-6" ,canopy will fill out quickly. The 9fingered leaves i am guessing are from grapefruit genes,as I have not previously had more than 7 fingered leaves on Captains Cake,Star Cookie,or Mystery Cookie plants. Might get nice stretch from their offspring,, which is partly why I chose these plants to Breed improve the stretch of Captains Cake as she didn't stretch much after 12-12 flip. Time will tell whether or not it worked.

Week 3 flowering and she is developing very nicely, a couple of tops poking through scrog. Drain and fill reservoir, roots are huge it will be interesting to see how many liters it will take to bring up to full.
10/08/2018
Peaked at the roots, and they are massive i fear that she will be limited in root space, 6 liters to top reservoir starting out I needed 9 liters, so I guess roots take up 3liters worth of space! Time to keep close eye on water level, as feeding frenzy is about to commence.π, and definitely getting her stretch on!,so if i get the Captains Cake taste, I be happy, cause she definitely got some stretch i wanted.
10/11/2018
Stripped lower branches under the scrog, good growth bud sights getting denser, posting before and after pictures of week 3 defoiliating.

Beginning of week #5, flowering stretching is slowing down, and filling out, not much to report on all seems well so that scares me a little. Week 6 and maybe week 7 I will be adding Overdrive by advanced nutrients. Have any of you guy's and/ or gals used it ? I would appreciate any feedback .. Also thinking about upping the bloom by .5ml, any experience with raising nute levels plant looks very healthy, just wondering if anyone thinks it is worth trying. I'am using PH Perfect, grow, micro, bloom, plus overdrive in week #6, and #7, as I'am not sure if it is a 10-12 week plant. Not sure if you seen some 11 FINGER leaves and longer thinner SATIVA like attributes. Much like pollen Father donor grapefruit male (SATIVA)π
Ps. more pics in morning as my tablet is acting up!

All is well resin is plentiful even larger leaves are sticky and citrusy( captain cake). Glad I cloned her! Got four starting to root, and ready to transplant transplant. Trading one for swami select green zebra

Buds are definitely swelling up.topped with 3liters plain water. Next week I will start to lower nute levels to 1/2 strength, and then week #9, 1/4 strength nutes, week 10 pure distilled water, and flush her till trichomes are to my liking
20-25% ambering. I want a day time med, no couch lock, but I will let a bud or 2 go longer for comparison smoke. Science of course.

Just coming off a week long flush plain water only, the leaves are showing signs that they are using stored nutes today drained and filled up at 1/2 strength.
Week 9, 1/4 strength, and week 10 distilled water, drains and refreshed every 24hours till done. Leaves faded away and trichomes ripe to my liking.π

She starting to plump up.
Start of week 9 flowering, some bud tips elongation, last fertilizer 1/4 strength. Then week ten flush will start. Trichomes getting milky 1/2 still clear no sign of any Amber trichomes.
12/03/2018
π² OMG π²
I JUST mixed up some nutes for cuttings for another grow and realized that I was never giving her a full strength nutes .I was mixing dose for one litter but in 2 liters of water Well I guess it worked? Just bummed I could have pushed her more! Although now I know that she did well on 1/2strength nutes.π
12/07/2018
Seen first Amber trichomes today maybe 4% some still clear but most are getting cloudy, I want about 20% Amber, for the most THC I can get from her,as I love the energy and focus it gives me and no burn out coming down for a more productive dayπ

About 5% amber 75% cloudy 15-20% partially cloudy. Very few still clear. Flushing is in second day of flush, changing water every 24 hours, she should be quick to fade as I used 1/2strength nutes throughout the grow (accidentally). Was mixing one liter dose to two liter pop bottle. DUH!
Grow went great no issues.
Citrusy,cat pee smells sticky
Like glue, fingers stink for hours, ALL in all a great plant and I will keep a clone of her as Cookie Cake #1
Will follow up with a smoke report when dry. I anticipate great taste, and high but we see. I hope she gives me that zero gravity feeling like floating while walking, feeling of lightness. Thats the effect I'm looking forward to like when I smoked her mother Captains Cake: 1: π
Hope everyone enjoys my report and hope to smoke her with you all someday.Thank you again π

Harvest time! 220.7 grams wet. She grew very well gotta fine tune my nutes and get root booster i am sure I can improve on this especially since I only used 1/2 strength Nutes throughout flowering
12/21/2018
First cut smoke report, sorry Santa i smoked your cookies lol, I brought a 2.5 grams joint to my band mates and all enjoyed some say taste of orange Tic Tacs, others say orange creamsicle and one guy says orange sherbet, this bud dried 3days to get crispy. Been in a jar for about a week, can't wait till she is fully cured. As for the high it gives users a perma-grin uplifting, should be even better once THCA Converts to THC.SHOULD BE FIRE π₯π₯π₯π₯ WHOOOOO!0
12/30/2018
2weeks slow dry and cure to begin, prepare to forget everything, I should call it CRS! (Can't Remember Shit)
Holy cow!I forgot were i was going! Don't smoke and drive. But it was pleasant, calming, euphoric cause, I didn't panic was carefree and laughed them said oh yeah now I remember! Already very tasty smooth no cough coats my mouth and throat with an orange zestyness, truly I don't like Orange but I love the taste and what will she be like cured update you after 4 week.ππ
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
@Tonino
Thank you she is my third DWC and roots are healthy and bigger than both 1st,2nd,grows roots at harvest, can't wait to see how it translated to to finished weight !π
@MG2009, try adding 1ml/gal House and Garden Roots Excelurator Silver (not gold for hydro) and use it the first 2 weeks of veg and again the first two weeks of flowering. Iβm updating my LA Confidential tomorrow and Iβll show her roots. Stuff is amazing!
My opinion on 12/12 from seeds is simple , it is a good method but it will provide you a lower yield ! It's better to give her at least 2 weeks in 18/6 to help the roots system to thrive and then switch to 12/12 for better results ππ
@MG2009, Try the 18/6 and try also running veg until day55 after you've completed the 14 day veg run and compare. Apparently roots will generate max resin if you flip to flower at the 55 day mark. My recent experience bares this out. happy growing, bro. You're off to a great start.
@Mr_Positivo, Probably go that route. Next grow,Root should be massive by then. I do tend to veg 8-10 weeks or till sexed. Depends on what I am working with.
Thank you for your time and insightπ
Is that a home cross ? It sounds like a good cross , but home crosses can have sprooting issues ! Some of my cross have seeds with harder shell than the "corporated" one , so to be sure they will thrive I slightly open the seeds with my nail (kind of long nails so you can use another tools). My technique with my crosses is to let them sink in a glass of water , then let them open in the glass of water and I only transplant after that. Clones are doing better in that kind of cubes π
@OutForReal,
I know it's Been a while since your comment and like, but I've found soaking in an h2o2 a clean water helps penetrate the harder shells of thicker seeds, or older seeds. Or higher quality home grown seeds.ππ»
Dude! You always have the coolest cross grows and must have a great operation to be experimenting like this! Another one to watch for sure and good luck with it! π
@OutForReal,
Unfortunately with scrog in place i can't swap buckets, not enough room, but I did get a drill pump and flush bucket with about 9 liters of water while draining not idealistic but it works for nowπ and thanks for the input ππ
@MG2009,No unfortunately I'm not using it yet but I'll put a picture in one of my diaries and will tag you there to show you. Will do it in the afternoon and why not testing it right now , I was planning to wait until the end of the month but I can drop an autoflowering seed in it and see what happens π€ππ
Hey I noticed your comments about your root space and diminishing solution capacity. My roots grow wall to wall and water level deep. Towards the end of flowering I have to push the roots away from the side to get a pump in for reservoir changes. Oh and good luck finding the air stone after harvest (scissoring along the air line is recommended).
@MG2009, I start with 19l (5 gal) in a 10 gallon (38l) container (half full) by harvest half full is 1.5-3 gallons (6-12l). Iβve let them go dry π but no damage as it will stay βwetβ for days.
I think we can all relate to the occasional dosage mistake dude - while a little disappointing it could always be worse my friendπ. Tryn to keep positive for yaππ
