Looks for sales online, you may not get sponsored for lights till you show off what you can grow. Spiderfarmers 100w is descent but I'd upgrade to the 200W one. Viparspectra also has some nice products, some of them should be having some boxing day sale going on soon if you missed the cyber monday/black friday sales. Good Luck!

@ClydeGrows, I wasn't sure where to start, great recommendation thank you! Just a question if you don't mind: I'm looking at the ViparSpectra and am deciding between the P600 and P1000. I suppose the most significant difference is the 930 umol/m2/s for the P600 versus the 1006 umol/m2/s for the P1000; would you strongly recommend the P1000 over the P600? I have a small setup, one plant at the time, and I'm leaning towards the lower wattage of the P600 at the expense of only a small difference in yield (assumingly).

Roberts knows his stuff! If you can afford a light, I recommend viparspectra as best entry-level light (p1000). If you're in Atlantic Canada I could probs get my spare (not vipar tho) to you too. ✊

Just about to say what everyone else said. Buy gear as you can, amazon isn't illegal. Nor have I had any of my seeds confiscated through mail.
