Started both seeds out in a glass of water then switching to the paper towel method. Once a taproot is shown then it will go in aerogarden-type grow sponges. The seedlings will be in the aerogarden until big enough to transplant into individual dwc hydroponic buckets.
Seeds were planted with a taproot in the aerogarden on 10/13/22. The other 3 plants in the aerogarden are auto's that were started 2 weeks ago but 2 of the autos had both of their stems snap.
Had a rough week personally, ended up not adding additional nutes to this week, just refilled the water & checked the ppm/ph humidty & temp. The middle auto is growing larger than the others. Jack Herer fem & Purple Punch fem are on opposite sides, no issues currently.
defoliated the middle auto (Blueberry auto from growers choice seeds) a bit. added 1ml of ph up on 10/31 then checked back on 11/2, ph was low again so i added another 2ml, on 11/3 added 3ml of ph up again because it was still too low. Transplanting plants to the tent the next week
Transplant day! Ended up putting the 2 autos and 2 fems in 13gal buckets each with 2 2x2inch airstones to each bucket, the lids have 8-inch net baskets, using an Active Aqua Air Pump, 8 Outlets, 12W, 25 L/min. Defoliated a bit of the blueberry Auto before it starts to flower. the light in the tent is around 80-90% on, wanted to dim it since i didnt want it to be too strong for the plants to transition. When transplanting from the Aerogarden, a lot of the roots were stuck together so a lot got thrown out in the process which may slow the growth of the plant or cause stress. Left the stunted Auto in the Aerogarden with fresh water and nutrients.
on 11/12/22, noticed ppm ranged in the 200s, added 20 micro, 20 grow, 10 ml bloom, and 15ml of cal mag, 2ml hydroguard, plants were yellowing so I needed a higher ppm. Defoliated the larger auto in the back a bit. Still debating on topping or cloning the two plants in the front. On11/13/22 noticed ppm is 500ish in the tent and ph in the tent is about 6.6ish for multiple in that range, ph of the aerogarden is 5.6 with a ppm of 1200. On 11/14/22 added 20 micro, 30 grow, 10 ml bloom, and 20ml of cal mag, 2ml of hydroguard & for the flowering auto I did an ADDITIONAL 10ml of bloom. Defoliated all of the flowers by a few leaves. After adding the nutrients I had an accidental leak that I caused and the water level hose came out, so the ppm may be different for some plants. On 11/15/22 I checked the tent ppm is 900-1000, ph is 6.6 - 6.7, adjusted by adding 2ml of ph down to the different buckets.
Photos are from 11/23/2022. 11/23/22 - ppm range is somewhere from 750 to 850 for 3 of the plants. The back flowering auto is at 550 ppm, adding 20ml of micro to all the plants, 30ml of gro except for the last one bigger auto is 20ml, Bloom is 15ml each except the big auto that’s 30, 15ml of cal mag for all & 2ml of hydroguard. Decided to defoliate all the plants except the flowering auto. For the two plants in front, I decided to top them and try to clone them using a rooting gel & placing it in the aerogarden. I noticed that the stem is a bit hollow for both of them. I'm planning to let the autos in the back finish and then flip to a 12/12 light cycle when they finish, for now, I plan on having a very long veg period.
As of 11/25/2022 the ppm of big auto in the back right is 850, ppm of small auto in the back left corner is 1300, ppm of the two fem plants in the front is 1100 - 1250. All ph balances are between 5.5 to 6.0
Photo from 12/1 after defoliation to the front two plants. this week i didnt add any nutrients since i will be adding it the next week. I prefer to over feed it for two weeks instead of constantly adding nutrients unless i notice plant symptoms.
Added water and pruned on 12/6. ppm of aerogarden is 300, ppm of front right plant is 800, front left is 750
Back left is 850, back right is 300 ppm.
Added nutrients:
Aerogarden 10ml of micro, 10ml of gel, 15ml of bloom.
Back right auto, 10ml of micro, 10ml of gro, 25ml of bloom,
Other 3 plants:
5ml of micro, 5ml of gro, 5ml of bloom
Added 10ml of cal mag to aerogarden, 15ml of cal mag to back right auto, then 5ml to the other plants
Added 2ml of hydroguard to each as well.
On 12/9/2022: Front left plant is 750ppm, front right is 900ppm. 1050 is back left. Back right is 550 ppm. Going to add nutrients just to the back right plant and possibly the front left plant. For the back right plant I did 15ml of micro, front left plant I did 5ml of micro. 15ml of gro for back right, 12ml for front left. 25ml of bloom for back right, 5ml for front left. 15ml of cal mag added to back right 5ml to front left. Front left ppm is now 900. Back right is now 850ppm
Ph all ranges from 5.5 to 6.1
10/13/22 - taproots sprouted, added both seeds to the aerogarden and labeled them.
I also added 5ml of GH flora series trio, 5ml cal mag, 2ml of hydroguard to the water for the other plants in there (1 blueberry auto, 2 ny diesel autos). The ny diesel autos have had their main stems snap, trying to reroot them and see if its worth it to keep them in the coming weeks.
