Don't grow them, stick with easier to grow and superior photoperiod plants would be my advice for your next grow.

How can you tell if your plants is done with out checking trichomes??? And do you harvest you plant before it completely dies...dry out the pot or does it die on its own???? Auto flower give me your ideas if this makes sense!!!!

When there are 95-99% brown pistils is when they are at their peak of maturity. Conversely, when there are only a very few white pistils left is the sme thing. Once there are 100% brown pistils, death is nearing and a plant on the cusp of death can not support healthy/peak quality trichomes, so you want to harvest just before this time, hence approx 98% brown pistils. No need to let the plant dry out or do other stupid things like 2 days of darkness, these things just stress the plant and the last thing you want to do right before harvest and after weeks/months of careful cultivation, is to stress your plant. Nothing you do in the last few days will magically make the plant produce extra THC or trichomes, these things are all controlled by genetics and not by mystical techniques created in a random stoners' heads. Just water as normal, wait a day or so, then chop in the morning or about an hour or so after the lights come on, this will give you an activated plant with maximum terpenes and the healthiest cannabinoids (after their nightly repair) and before too much light has a chance to evaporate the terpenes, again, after their nightly "repair" or "top up". Whatever you do, do not wait for the plant to die before harvesting! This timing (approx 98% brown pistils) will put you in the 10-30% amber trichome" zone without even having to look too closely at the trichomes. I have been using this method for roughly 35 years and it works well for me.

Also you want to fill the pot imo. Especially if the strain is particularly short and stocky vs being a big stretchy bastard. It doesn't look bad, you've done a good job with what you have. I've got 2 gorilla glue autos going atm. Both are short and stocky in comparison to my other plants. The light is the first thing I'd be upgrading. My light is a 450w led. That says 450w or 640w.

@BezzyB, the one in the white bucket is in full flower now. If you can get some big bud or any flower booster to pack some big buds on. The one in the fabric pot, that's at the ideal stage to start training. That one has lots of side branches and will be rather easy for you to train. I'd recommend topping her but if you don't feel ready for that yet, then as you said on the picture use some rubber coated wire and start off lst bending the top of the plant so it's no longer the top, it will always straighten up and grow round the ties so it is a very repetitive process but worth it.

@BezzyB, from what I can see mate aye she's looking good. Take pictures without that light so we can see the colours of the plant not the light.

@BezzyB, well limiting the number of grow points will help. Removing lower side of plant once she stretches. Basically lollipop the canopy. Also good doses of potassium and phosphorus during flowering. Good light intensity, good air circulation, and favorable temperatures. Growing is a science and art. When I started years ago my results were not even close to what I get now. Experience helps a lot.
