Using Blimburn seeds this round for the first time. Excited to see how they grow! 24h soak then into 500ml pots for a couple weeks. Also made a few changes in the tent, new TerraBloom filter and placement in tent, fans, watering system, etc.

Still making small adjustments with the tent, but pretty well got tolerances set. Also got the drip set up for when things take off. I will still be hand watering the top dressing in once a week and to keep the mulch layer damp

Up pot one time from 500ml pots to 30g pots, dusted roots and hole with “Xtreme Gardening Mykos” and watered in. Water usually comes out of tap with a ph of 7 and less than 10 ppm TDS, but I haven’t checked in years. I leave it sit for 24hrs aerated and use it straight out 30 gallon Brute can. Looking good so far

W4 D22 6 nodes tall, topped at the 3rd and cleaned up underneath. May be a bit on the cold side, may have slightly overwatered? Not sure, but still growing and colour is looking ok. This OG’s Kush seed seems to have given me a runt but I’ll keep growing it out unless it just gets ridiculous. I have gotten some good smoke from runts. Happy growing all

Week 5 day 31 Topped and LST. Grew out 4 nodes on each of the 2 branches. Topped at 3rd, cleaned up growth tips below 3rd, and left all leaves for maximum growth as they do not shade the now remaining 4 tops. Used the same anchors to LST and pull down the branches that are still flexible. Gave a very light, and I mean very light watering just around the base of the plant where the soil is exposed with no mulch. The soil moisture is still good from the last watering 5 days ago. It’s not that it’s slow growing, it is just very small, the branching and secondary growth is very much on track and the plant is sturdy. So with that said I decided to top, LST, and carry on with the manifolding techniques. Hopefully she rewards with tightly frosted flowers! Happy growing:)

Soil mix a bit strong but they seem to be growing through and adjusting well as the roots go deeper and plant gets bigger. Just a bit of tip burn and curl on a few leaves but seems to be growing out of it now. Lights a very strong…that’s for sure! Dimmed way down. Watering when required.

Conditions are good, 77f, 50rh, good airflow and circulation. The 2x Mars Hydro TS600 are very bright at a total of 200w. Keeping them now at 30” as any closer and she couldn’t keep up. Once I flip to flower in a couple days, with less total light, will be able to let her grow up to 24” from light. Put in a Grub Grenade to keep unwanted bugs in check. Very Indica, growing low and slow. Breeder says only 3 phenotype all producing large yields of fire 🔥

Flower time! Plant structure and training completed, not waiting any longer for this one. Not as big as I’d like, but I want the two tents to switch at the same time. Shorter tent anyways. Allowing to grow into 2x TS600’s now until 24” away and observing for any negative effects. I’m really liking how these Blimburn genetics are growing out, even though she’s shorter, she’s thick and strong. Really stacking up. I’m not going to allow many secondary branches to grow out this round. Don’t want it crowded in there this grow, going for fat hard colas…hopefully. Top dressed with Bokashi gro-pro, earthworm castings, and watered in with Gaia Green soluble seaweed 0-0-17. In a couple weeks will top dress again with 4-4-4 & 2-4-8. Thanks for the views and Grow On!

Day 12 Flower and going well. I’d say on cruise control from here on out besides some selective defoliation after stretch when the time comes. Also will prune any secondary growth that doesn’t get through, or enough light. Just water and one more top dress to the end. Could go the whole grow without top dressing anymore in these 30 gallons, but want to set up the next run with some good healthy soil and I don’t ever really want to deplete it. Blumat drip is working well keeping soil at the moisture content that she seems to like according to Blumat moisture sensor. Thanks for the views and grow on!

Week 3 flower and looking good though developing very slowly, and has since the beginning. I’ll have to grow out another to see whether it’s just the one seed or not. Moved the lights closer to see if that helps but I’ve had them closer before and she didn’t like it, so keeping an eye on her for signs of stress. Hopefully what she produces will be fire 🔥 and worth it! Cleaned up underneath, thinned out any spindly branches that were struggling and crowding, and removed big fans that were blocking bud sites. Also had a run away dripper overnight which I’m certain was caused when I was pruning and defoliating, as I pulled some branches out that fell on top of the mulch, they must of been pulled along the top of the Blumat sensor opening the valve. The soil took a lot and the rest pooled up in the tent. As I don’t like run off, this was very disappointing to me, to see the soil life on the outside of the pot and a mess for me to clean. I’m happy I layered the bottom of the pot with 2-3” of expanded clay pellets, she did not show any signs of being overwatered. Thanks for the views, keep calm and grow on!

Happy Holidays! Week 4 flower and not much to report. Didn’t do anything special. Let soil dry out a bit from the run away dripper. Light seems to be hitting everywhere fairly even. 2x TS 600’s are at about 12-14” from canopy. I will also top dress again soon for the last time. Fungus Gnats are around but I wouldn’t say it’s an infestation, just got to put in a few more traps and I think the “Grub Grenade” is taking care of the soil. There is a 2” layer of straw mulch to help keep them off the surface comfortably. This particular seed and/or phenotype of OG’s Kush genetics from Blimburn is growing very slow! Compared to the other two strains I’m growing out of Blimburn’s, it’s buds are tiny small. She grew slow from the get go. There is no way that this is a pheno that they were going for, but you get a dud seed every once in awhile, and that’s it. The smell is also a bit off, very musky right now, but that can change. She does appear to be filling in but so slow. What she lacks in size and smell, she picks up in frost, this plant is caked. Hopefully she grows frosty tight buds, might just take awhile. Thanks for the view! Keep calm and grow on!

Week 5 flower. This one just grows slow. Slowly filling in. Very frosty, but not a nice smell. Hopefully the flowers end up tight, hard, and smelling great. Lights are at 12-14” from canopy, and plants are taking it well. Blumat drip still working, and hand watering once a week with Gaia Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17. Not going to top dress anymore as these 30 gallon pots have lots to offer still and this plant is using nothing really. Thanks for views!

Week 6 flower. Not much to report with this one. Growing very slow, little buds, smell musky and not very nice but improving, very frosty and getting frostier. Watered in Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17. Day 36 flower I turned off Blumat drip and will water with the watering wand from here on out. Just another potential runaway dripper so I eliminated the risk. I will just build another reliable system with a timer and use the Blumat outside. Thanks for the view! Have a great week!

Week 7 is finished, end is near, 3 weeks to go, not showing any signs of finishing yet. Thought this plant was a dud, couldn’t be more wrong. Growing very slowly for sure, like crazy slow, but she is super frosty and growing hard buds. The smell is getting stronger and better as the days go by. Fungus gnats are bugging me for sure, but the plants seem fine. Need to get them under control after this run. Lights are at “12, hopefully for a measurement of 600-650 ppfd. Just watering using tap water, not ph’d, through drip on a timer. Hand water once a week with Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17. Light still breaking through canopy in spots. Lots of leaves, but not much bud sites below. No need to remove big leaves yet. Thanks for the view, happy growing!

Week 8 flower and the OG Kush looks like fire 🔥 so frosty and covering everything. I thought this seed was a dud but it is definitely not! Flowers are not huge but that’s ok. Tight, frosty, and the smell very nice and getting stronger. The development is slow and has been since the beginning, might be something I’m doing or did, not to sure? Lights are at 12” and she is responding well. Looks like about two weeks to go. TS 600’s have done well again! Blimburn OG Kush seems to be producing some potent looking flowers. Need to do a better job taking care of the fungus gnats moving forward. Thanks for the view!

Week 9 flower is coming to an end and the OG Kush still has about a week to go. I thought this seed was a dud, but I think it’s gonna be my best! The heads are mostly cloudy, no amber. Flowers seem hard and dense. Stripped most the large leaves that I could easily get at and just watering still letting the soil stay a bit on the dryer side, but consistent. Steadily lowering the humidity the best I can and manage, but it’s a bit difficult as I took down the humidifier to clean and get ready for harvest and got the dehumidifier going, but got another cold snap coming through and it’s dry outside and the house heat is running, don’t have a clean filter for the humidifier now, trying to get it right, right to the end, but Mother Nature is making my unnatural grow difficult lol. Thanks for the view and long read if you made it to the end! Keep calm and grow on!

Week 10 is coming to an end and the OG Kush is ready to come down. Faded nicely all around into a dark purple and light green colour. Buds aren’t huge but of good size, hard, and are colourful with hints of purple. Buds are so frosty, smell of gas, citrus, and earth, not overly strong but nice. Heads are mostly cloudy, a few clear and amber, 70 days of flower, I think she’s good. When I took a peek the other day during lights off I could see some light coming from a surge protector power point, I totally forgot to duck tape it. I’ll have to deal with that! Got to do a better job on the canopy next time. Defoliate and prune lower growth more as well to eliminate the lower loose bud sites. Lowered temps and humidity near the end. Backed off on the water to allow more of a dry out period in between waterings. Harvest update next after the dry and cure, so final entry in a few weeks. Thanks for the view!

Blimburn OG Kush actually surprised me as I thought this seed was a dud. More than likely something that I did, or didn’t do, that caused her to grow slowly, like top it multiple times at the beginning, But she produced at the end giving me all tight nuggets from top to bottom, as frosted as could be! I am happy with the results of this phenotype and will definitely grow out another one in the future!
