Hello. I'm starting my Dos Si Dos #33 diary here. These clones have been growing in the veg tent all summer. I had stuff growing in the greenhouse all summer and it gets really hot in that cement room in the middle of summer, so I shut down that grow room till now. I got it up and running last week but I was a little embarrassed to make a diary starting last week because I had treated the clones badly and they looked rather leafless. They look much better this week, so I'll start. I would like to start playing around with making feminized seeds. So, I need some extra clones to spray to make the feminized males. I've read about it, now it's time to try. Some of these clones I take will be turned to males next year. I gave some clones to my friend Jerry for his summer crop. I was over to his house the first week in October, to take pictures of his plants. Some of the lower plants that were not getting sun anymore were just starting to show some powdery mildew on some of the big fan leaves, so he decided to cut them down. He did a real good job on growing them this year. I think he said he was going to cut the big bud off the ends of the branches and let the smaller buds fatten up, under cover, in the sun, on the deck. This is the strongest plant I grow. It gets me pretty baked with 5 or 6 tokes. It grows on the taller side, so I'll make lots of tops to slow the growth down. And it tastes like fruity ice cream!!! Yummy!!! The other plants in the room are Amnesia Lemon by Barney, Pink Kush the original clone I found 27 years ago, Nova OG by Anesia Seeds, Sweet Sensations by Sweet Seeds, The White (Whitey) by Dr Greenthumb. I will put in next week more Fat Freddie's Cat cartoons and I have some more puzzles to finish off that puzzle book. Then when that's finished, I'll put in some Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers cartoons. Man, the spiders are getting big around here. We've had 1 mm of rain in 3 months and it's very warm for this time of year, so they are getting big!!! Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of veg. The plants are recovering wonderfully. I had them in a small tent and small pots for most of the summer. I took them and trimmed them up and put them in big pots to get clones to make some feminized males, for feminized seeds I'm hoping to make next year. I've added some Fat Freddie's Cat cartoons to finish off book #5. Hope you enjoy them. A bit about me now: About 1 1/2 years ago I had a swollen tonsil removed and it was sent away to be tested, and it came back cancerous from a STD virous I pick up along the way. I wanted to try Rick Simson Oil for the treatment. I had 2 doctors tell me it won't work, and you will have to destroy your immune system with chemotherapy so we can bomb you with radiation to kill the cancerous cells. It was hard but I kept to my plan even though I was feeling very harassed because the doctors wanted me to do things their way. For a next year I passed 3 of their tests, but the last one, 6 months ago showed a hot spot at the remaining tonsil spot. So, I read some more and decided to cut out as much sugar from my diet as possible. That means beer and alcohol too. Sweet is one of my favorite food groups so I'm disappointed, but I got to do what I can, not to have radiation and chemo. I had a PET test about 2 weeks ago and I saw the doctor yesterday and was very pleased to find that my inflammation in my throat has reduced to the point that my doctor didn't need to make another test in 6 months and asked if I might want one in a year's time, I said yes to that. He said the test looks so good that he doesn't have to put the camera in my nose and down my throat unless I want him to. I said yes. He looked and said everything looks normal. He seemed sorta pleased and happy for me and added that he had never seem cancerous inflammation reduce. He said, he's only seen cancerous inflammation increase. 😁😉😎 This Cannabis plant is incredible enough to fight cancer. I had read about, it, but wanted to find out for myself. Hope your well! Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of veg. Very quiet week this week. Wet and awful outside. Started some new diaries, Mt Blanc and Critical Kush, and was busy with that. See you next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg. Been busy this week and I have neglected my plants a bit. I need to get in there and do some LST and defoliation. I also like to set up the clones/branches I'll be taking and let the plant heal for a few days before I switch over to flowering. Ok. This is a quick report, I got stuff to do. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of the veg cycle and the first week of the flowering cycle. I spent a few hours in here this week getting the plants ready for flowering and clone taking. I trimmed up the plants and took off some fan leaves. At the same time, I took some of the lower branches and made clones from them and then trimmed up the plants. I made it so I can sort of see through the plants to the floor. Don't take too much off, you want it so you can just barely see the floor through the plant. Trimmed up the stock. I don't want any green growth on the stock for the first foot or so. I also took pictures to see the differences in the bark. The White's bark is very bumpy compared to the others. Turned on the dehumidifier yesterday. The RH was getting over 60% in here so it should be on now. I'll empty it once a day for now but after week 4 of flowering I'll empty it twice a day, so it doesn't get full and turn off. Ok, see you next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering. It's going good in here. These plants sure have taken off. They are doing a bit of stretching now. I can just make out flowers forming now on the plants. The clones are doing good too. Even though I put in some nematodes a couple of weeks ago, I'm still seeing the odd gnat flying around. I have yellow sticky tape up too. These guys are hard to kill. Almost at the end of the - Fat Freddie's Cat - Cartoon Books. Fat Freddie has two cartoon books out: Fat Freddy's Comics and Stories printed in 1983. So, we'll start those, next week. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Man, these plants are sure going through the nutrient solution. I've got to get in there this week and do my final trim/prune this week. Looks like I've got to super crop the Pink Kush again, it's already into the lights. It also looks like I've got to move the Dos Si Dos #33 too. I'll move it over 1 space to the left, I'll switch with Whitey. It's getting tall too and it might have to be super cropped as well. We are ending the Fat Freddie's Cat comics series, the end of book 5, but Fat Freddie has 2 comics of his own called Fat Freddy's Comics and Stories #1 So we will carry on with these comics by Gilbert Shelton. I've tried to keep the lights about 40% to 50% and the nutrient down this week to counter the stretching. I let these plant go in veg a week longer than I should have. More tops more buds. 😊 Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering. I got in here this week and did some LST/trimming/pruning. I'll need to super crop some of these top branches this week, they are getting too tall. I'll have to super crop some of the tops of the Pink Kush too. I've have already made up some super cropping clips out of copper and hay wire to work with. Stuck my 65-year-old face in 1 picture so you can see what I look like. That's me. Do I look blasted? 😋 I entered another contest with high hopes, The Super Sativa Seed Club Photo Contest, I thought I had a chance at a prize, but, after looking at the winning diaries I can see better pictures in them than I had. I also show things that I should ask for permission to show, I mean copywrite infringement with all the comics I show. But I'm not trying to take credit for drawing them, and they are cannabis related so I don't care. What I'm trying to say is I think I'm done with the contests. I know my smoke is great. Thanks. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. I spent most of the week hauling leaves around. So people don't have to burn their leaves anymore, the city puts large vacuums on the large parks trucks and sucks up all the leaves that people rake to the curb. So there are free piles of leaves everywhere until the trucks come around. I gather some of the leaves to use as mulch and put it under the plants bushes and trees I have planted for the hummingbirds. I love my hummingbirds. I have 2 feeders out with sugar water. One in the front and one in the back. I keep them out of sight of each other so 1 male can't control both feeders chasing away rivals. The Dos Si Dos #33 and the Pink Kush are getting tall. Some buds are touching the lights. I'll get in here this week and do some super cropping on the taller branches. The rest of the room look good. Lots of white pistils everywhere. Smells great in here. Sweet musky candyish, deliciousness. The plants sure are going through a lot of nutrient now. Close to 3 gallons a day. So I have to adjust the reservoir each day. Thanks for looking in. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering. Things are going good in here. The resin production has really kicked in now. Smells just wonderful in here. Like a sweet orange flavored chalky candy. Delicious. Big snow fall last night. Big for here on the west coast of Canada. 30 to 40 cm fell here and I was worried about my little humming birds. It's been -4*c here the last 2 nights. The weather says -8*c tonight with wind. I don't know how they do it, they are just so small to sit on a branch and make it through the freezing night. Such amazing little birds. It took me 2.5 hours to dig out this morning. Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering. Man, I just can't seem to shake these fungus gnats. I tried mosquito bits, and I'm using traps and I bought some nematodes but the fungus gnats are running amuck. I think I'll try pyrethrin, I can buy it at the local big box store (Canadian Tire). It's a powder I put on the top of the medium. Very non toxic except for bees. I don't have any bees in here just fungus gnats. And the plants don't look their best because of them. Had to get in here last week and tie up the plants that were falling over. The Pink Kush had laid over everything and had to be tied up. The White had leaned over and had to be staked and tied up. The Nova OG is in the corner and hard to get to and not looking happy. I'm sure it's the fungus gnats causing problems. It got to -9 c here last week. Coldest it's been in 40 years with the wind chill facture. It's 12 c here yesterday with lots of rain so most of the snow is gone now. Thanks. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. Ok. 3 weeks to go. 1 more week of full strength nutrient solution, and 2 weeks of flushing. I sprayed some pyrethrin on top of the medium, and there are less gnats on the yellow sticky traps than last week. The little buggers are causing problems in here. You can see what the plants do when their roots are being chewed on. These gnats are tough. We buy house plants from the super stores and I think these gnats tagged along with those plants and then got into mine. These gnats seem more resistant than they used to be ??? Stupid Gnats, is what Charlie Brown would say. In the comics, I see fat Freddie's Cat finally made it to heaven. Yeah!!! He deserves it. He's been through a lot. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Flushing- Tap Water and Hydro Peroxide 1000 mll
Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. Time to start flushing. The trend these days is moving away from flushing. There has been people on the questions page that are adamant about not flushing, and they get quite rude about it when I've said I still flush trying to answer the question. They say you don't flush your vegetables so why flush your smoke. Eating has it's own track through the body. It's well protected to flush itself if something bothers the stomach or intestines. But when you smoke it, you draw it into the lungs, then it goes straight to the blood stream. In my mind that's not very good if your plant has all that extra nutrients in it. I've been growing indoors for close to 30 years and I've for got to flush a couple of times and knew it when I smoked it, with a strong chemical taste and black ash. Yes, your plant can have too much nutrient in them and they can taste bad. Now, I flush for 2 week. I use Hydrogen Peroxide at 1 oz. of 30% to 5 gallons of water. The first weeks ppm, levels off around 700 ppm and the second week, levels off at about 300 ppm. So, the plants still feed on the left overs till the end. I also give a couple of days of dark before harvest. Everything I do from this point to the end, I do for taste and burnability. I see we are at the end of book #1 of Fat Freddy's Comics and Stories. There's a book #2 that we'll start next week. That's al for now. Chuck.

Flushing Tap water and Hydrogen Peroxide 1000 mll
Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of flowering. We are near the end with these beautiful plants. Still flushing. There's more color in here than last week. Things are going good. (except for the fungus gnats and their damage). I spent some of last week playing with my crystal collection. Washed and charged them and couldn't figure why I couldn't get to sleep that night. Spent hours just laying there. When the same thing started happening the next night I removed the biggest crystals and was asleep within 1/2 hour. I find the little ones don't have much effect on me but get some bigger pieces together and I can feel it. We started a new comic book this week. It's #2 in the Fat Freddy Comics and Stories by Gilbert Shelton. They still have some of these books for sale on the Rip Off Press site. Keep Growin Straight. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of 10 weeks of flowering. The end of this grow. OK. One last look at these beauty's. The Dos Si Dos grew and flowered well. Cut down tomorrow. I cut off a branch, weight it, then wet trim it, hang it for 3 days and then cut the buds of the branches into paper bags. I fill the paper bags with 2 to 3 inches of buds before I hang it for a week on the same lines I hung the branches on, and then open the bag and check. Spread the middle buds and determine if the buds are dry enough. If the buds are still a bit damp then rehang for a few more days. When the buds are dry then they are cured too. The bag holds the ethaline (gas) that the drying buds give off, and that, cancels out the bitterness of the chlorophyll. Leave some buds out of the bag and just dry them and then test, for yourself the difference between the buds dried in bags and those that were not, in taste and and smell. You can cure longer in the jars if you want, but I've found that I don't need to if I've dried the buds in the bags. I be back in a couple of weeks with the finished report and smoking report too because the buds will be cured. Till then. Chuck.

Hello. This is the harvest for Dos Si Dos #33. The plant was easy to grow and we got a huge harvest off it. Wonderful taste, like fruity ice cream. Pretty strong too. My best guess for strength is 24 to 25% THC. Good enough for me. Gets the head rushing if I stand up too fast. It took me 4 days to cut and wet trim, and 2 days to get them into paper bags to cure them. Dos Si Dos #33 Wet Plant weight - 2448 g Dry Bud weight 318 g I grew some other plants in this room too. Their dry weights are; Pink Kush 434 g Sweet Sensations 237 g Amnesia Lemon 152 g Nova OG 187 g The White 184 g Total dry weight for the room, including the Dos Si Dos, is --- 1512 g or 1.5 kg or 54 oz. or 3.3 lbs. On my hydro table I have 8 lines. The plants with the biggest harvest had 2 lines into them. The other 4 plants had 1 line in each. I might have to get more nutrient into each pot with each watering, next time. Great. Thanks for looking in. Chuck.
