Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering.
Time to start flushing. The trend these days is moving away from flushing. There has been people on the questions page that are adamant about not flushing, and they get quite rude about it when I've said I still flush trying to answer the question. They say you don't flush your vegetables so why flush your smoke. Eating has it's own track through the body. It's well protected to flush itself if something bothers the stomach or intestines. But when you smoke it, you draw it into the lungs, then it goes straight to the blood stream. In my mind that's not very good if your plant has all that extra nutrients in it. I've been growing indoors for close to 30 years and I've for got to flush a couple of times and knew it when I smoked it, with a strong chemical taste and black ash. Yes, your plant can have too much nutrient in them and they can taste bad.
Now, I flush for 2 week. I use Hydrogen Peroxide at 1 oz. of 30% to 5 gallons of water. The first weeks ppm, levels off around 700 ppm and the second week, levels off at about 300 ppm. So, the plants still feed on the left overs till the end. I also give a couple of days of dark before harvest. Everything I do from this point to the end, I do for taste and burnability.
I see we are at the end of book #1 of Fat Freddy's Comics and Stories. There's a book #2 that we'll start next week.
That's al for now. Chuck.
WOW, they are looking great, they all have their trump cards, kudos to the genetics, but also to the skill of your friend, they really look great, huge, frosty, all in all a great diary.👌
I am so glad to have their descendants.😁
Good luck with your grows and your friend's grow.👍
So crazy cartoon i'm crying laughing for the last 5 minutes. 😂😂😂
@Ancient_Genetics, Hi Buddy. Yes, my friend did really good on his grow this year. Last year, the autumn had bad weather, this year the autumn has been perfect for flowering cannabis. I was hoping the mustache would help you smile. Best wishes to you and yours's. Chuck.
@PrivateStock, I grew up in the land race era, I've been growing indoors for about 30 years now. I'm really liking all the new flavors that have been coming out in the last few years. This Dos Si Dos #33 is the strongest in my collection now and tastes great like fruity ice cream. Ok Buddy. Have Fun. Chuck.
@extremelyaverage,Thanks Friend, Nice of you to notice. Chuck. I've always been a little kooky, What's like to be extremely average. Sort of "run of the mill" I imagine. 😉
Hi, I found this, because I asked me the same.. Hummingbirds in the cool high altitudes of the Andes become astonishingly cold torpor at night, researchers report. To conserve energy, one species in this condition, called torpor, lowers its body temperature to as much as 3.3 degrees Celsius, the measurements showed. This is the lowest body temperature ever measured in living birds, the scientists say.
@KingSalomonsWeed, Aren't they just amazing. The local Indians say they are our ancestors come to visit us. To see the males fight over the feeders, you would think they are little warriors. And they can live 12 to 14 years, incredible for 3 gram birds. Life at 100 km/hour, it's hard to imagine. I've tried to imagine to what it would be like to draw yourself out of torpor each morning. Is it like a deep sleep or harder to get out of, or easier. What would humming birds dream about if torpor is a dream state. I have so many questions. Just amazed. Chuck.
@@HokkeRappman, Hi Brother. This strain is wonderful, is very strong and it tastes like fruity ice cream. Everyone who try's it says it's "so good". Thanks for the nice comment. Chuck.
