Le_Duc_Du_Bud The 2nd week went wonderfully, they are developing very well, they are growing fast. Watering every 3 days, 1 liter per pot with 3ml roots and 2ml grow. They are drinking their dose correctly and completely. Due to lack of space, I'm in a small young box, with 7l pots.. No techniques applied, as I'm just starting out and I don't know what to do or I'm afraid to do... If you have any advice, I'm all ears.❤️

I've got a few diaries up where I've got pics on where I start lst and update as we go Easy enough process mate, get the top of your plant and bend her over tie the top in place where it's no longer facing up. Be careful as they can snap easily at this stage, the plant WILL straighten itself back up you'll need to keep repeating the process over the next couple of weeks and you'll have a nice even canopy. Check out my orange sherbet, Bruce banner or strawberry banana diarys for a quick look at different ways, I've used pegs but prefer to use plant wire myself.

Based on edges it needs more potassium. Brown and straight is potassium deficiency. It then leads to spots. I would also check your substrate ph. If that is out if line nothing is being absorbed

Happy Harvest Day!

For a very first experience in cultivation, I started with autoflowering Northern Lights from Royal Queen Seed, and I am not disappointed, even though out of the 3 seeds, only 1 had a different shape than the other two, despite that they have a super genetics, they are resistant to climates, or to overly stressful processes. After 72 days, 10 more than the technical sheet of these seeds predicts. I obtained 312g not dried. I will post the new weight when it is dried soon 😉😉: 1:: 1: What did you think of my cultivation? On 02/01/23, 1 and a half weeks after drying. I just weighed the final weight before putting my pretty Northern Lights in jars for curing. I will start with 1h30 of opening per day. Before decreasing the time. The obtained weight is 138 grams

Le_Duc_Du_Bud I recommend the Northern Lights from RQS, with a 2-week growth cycle and 7 weeks of flowering, finishing with 2 weeks of flushing. In 11 weeks, the result is magnificent; the plants produced a monstrous yield for my first time. Thanks to my research, my learning from your growing, your opinions, and your advice. I’m happy to present my babies to you. In about 15 days, depending on the drying, I will send you the final weight.

Due to the crappy weather, freezing cold, and horrible humidity, I installed insulation on the floor that allowed me to keep a perfect climate inside. I'm happy 😄

Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, the frost here has finally thawed, we got some rain and it's took the snow away. I don't want to trouble you buddy, you don't have to send me seeds. You are a new grower, when you are up and running in full swing then you can think of others mate. You've done very well. If you have thought of doing fems start some off half way through the next bunch of autos. 2 fems in that tent with the training you are capable of doing you will have good sized fems. The autos are huge right now.

Beginning of week 6, the plants are looking pretty nice, they underwent a slight trimming of the lower buds and leaves. I'm happy, no signs of deficiency so far. What do you think?
Le_Duc_Du_Bud
Le_Duc_Du_Bud commented4y ago
@Aldo90, exactly my friend, yesterday I tied up some branches to let the light pass through properly to the bottom, so I'm satisfied with what I did and the current result. And yes, France will face England in a few days, I'll think of you during the match even though you're from Scotland, it's still nice that you support France, I thank you for that. I'm Franco-Welsh ^^ so I cheer for both lol
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, Aye its one of those historical rivalries, English vs Scottish, French vs English, anyone vs the English. As the 4 nations of the UK we are 1 as Great Britain but when it comes to football, we keep those separated lol.

Here we are at the end of the week, tomorrow before watering I'm going to do a little defoliation to lighten up the bud sites and I'm going to remove the ones that are too low. What do you think?
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, aye mate your plants will benefit from removing all the lower bud sites. Fan leaf also. You can also use more lst here by just pulling the branches out slightly more giving more light penetration to the inside bud sites allowing them to receive more light.

It's deleted my comment. This website is broke. You'll be ready to start flushing very soon. Get a jewellers loupe only a few euro online, start checking the crystals. Will give you an idea of what they look like now vs when they are milky.

How is the lst going ??
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, I've taught you nothing, I've only helped you make decisions. You already knew the answers to the questions you were asking. The 2nd and 3rd plant will really appreciate that defoilation. You will see flower sites start growing upwards on the branches that have been tied down, creating new branches and bud sites as it grows. 1st plant is a little smaller but that's not something to worry about. It may just be growing at a slower pace. Remember in the next day or 2 you will have to do more lst on the branches that have grown. But that defoil today. Perfect

Very good. They will start to ripen up over the next 10-14 days. Once 50% of the hairs are orange that's when I would be starting to check the trichomes. You will also notice as they getting ready that they will stop drinking as much water. I cant wait to see the final yeild lol. You may have convinced me royal queen seeds are worth giving a go especially this northern lights.
Le_Duc_Du_Bud
Le_Duc_Du_Bud commented4y ago
@Aldo90, exactly, I'm excited to see the final result. After the genetics, it's not perfect because you can clearly see the differences. But I did well. They are beautiful.

Le_Duc_Du_Bud commented4y ago
@Aldo90, yes, I think you could try Royal Queen seeds, they're really not bad. The reviews from people. The quality of their seeds. For the next batch I'm going to do, I got some feminized Kalini Asia from Zamesia, I took 6 of them.

With the one that snapped I'd tape that branch up if it doesn't heal in the next day or 2 then chop it off. It does look like it can heal. part of the learning process. Entering pre flower now. Another week or so and they will start to stretch. Up the fertiliser at this stage also.
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, any bloom booster will do. Topmax from (BioBizz) overdrive from (advanced nutrients) are both my choice for pk boosters. Mu Orange sherbet has started with p deficiency also. I've just added more big bud and top max.

@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, you could just increase the bloom nutrients. But only slightly, as they are very strong compared to boosters.

Ohhh yeeaaaaah. We are flowering fully now. Plant number 1 is at full stigma, which means vertical growth has now stopped completely. The other 2 may still stretch slightly but they are almost at full stigma also. Looks fantastic. Healthy looking plants. Now the time has come where it's job is to produce buds. Excitement in the air.
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, that's what I was meaning, with the powerful extractor it will help air circulation throughout the grow. You are in a little trap, if you turn the fan up to reduce more humidity it will lower the temperature also, which we don't want it being too cold. I've been dealing with temps around 21-22c which is ok but it still like it abit hotter. Maybe you could get an oil heater, that will both reduce humidity and raise the temperature. But it will cost a fortune to run on electricity.
Le_Duc_Du_Bud
Le_Duc_Du_Bud commented4y ago
@Aldo90, I'm going to put a dehumidifier in my grow room to reduce the humidity.
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, be careful with those. They can suck way too much humidity out of the air. 60% isn't that bad at this stage my friend. I doubt my tent will ever get under 50% this grow with the volume of water I use. It's winter time also that will have an effect with the air in the cellar being humid that air will end up inside. Maybe try the dehumidifier in the cellar before throwing it in the tent. Even 70% I'd say not to worry too much.

Week 7 of flowering, second to last week of bloom. The Northern is developing well, out of the 3 plants, 2 have practically identical shapes. With big buds forming. @Aldo90, yes I'm still waiting. Currently, I've done 1 week of drying at 17°C with 80 humidity at the beginning given the number of buds, it's now down to 60. Right now, I've moved them to my floor at a temperature of 20 degrees, the longer the drying, the better 😁😁 and after that, I'll put them in perfect jars to do my curing.
Aldo90
Aldo90 commented4y ago
@Le_Duc_Du_Bud, yes the longer the drying process the better I usually go 10-14 days. 80% humidity that is rather high mate, the last thing you want is any budrot to form so aim to keep it at 60% rh or slightly lower. The temps not to worry about when drying unless it's obviously very hot. But try keep that humidity down in the drying tent, we don't want rot ever. Naturally the humidity in the tent will drop as the plant dries. I'm very curious to see the final yeild on these, it was 3 so you should have some nice smoke for a while. Good treat to yourself.
