Today I moved the 2 babies into 10 liter buckets. I was surprised on how much the roots had grown on the larger plant. The other plant still lagging behind. Happy that they will now have lots of room to grow. Still using the Marswell LED lamp which is equivalent to a 600 watt bulb.
Both plants growing larger but that stunted plant still way smaller. Note to self, I transplanted into dry soil to prevent my overwatering habit from damaging the plants. This trick seems to be working thus far.
I switched to my stronger LED lamp it sure is bright. This will be the first time I have used it and it really lights up the room. I don't need a night light in the upstairs hall anymore. I can just leave this bedroom door open and see easily upstairs at night. Also noted that it lights up the back yard, what will the neighbours think! Increased the amount of nutrients in water. Still trying to not water to much. Began Low Stress Training on the larger plant on Monday and on the smaller plant today, Saturday.
The unused bedroom was getting to cold (15 C), so I moved the plants into a closet with a small heater. Now I am getting temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees Celsius. Raised the light as the plants are not growing tall enough to have room between the leaves. I want them to stretch a bit. Watered more this week as the roots should be reaching into the dry areas by now. Took 4 fan leaves of the larger plant and one off the small plant so that more light could reach into the little leaves around the stems. Will not be long now and the plants should be doing their pre-flowering rapid growth.
Some of the leaves have been shading the bud sites, so I have nipped off a few over the past couple of weeks. The older plant has begun flowering. Still doing some low-stress training and plants have needed some extra water and nutrients this week.
This week is a lot like last week. Plants not growing taller but the flower buds are getting more plentiful. There does not seem to be any growth spurt like I was expecting for pre-flowering and first week of flowering. I feel I am giving plenty of nutrients. I wonder if they are not getting enough water. I have been stingy with the water as I have a bad habit of overwatering. The plant that had a slow sprouting seed has now begun to flower.
Today one of my plants is suffering from lack of water and was displaying limp leaves. I was almost pleased with myself as I tend to over water. It should be in much better shape in a few hours. I have picked off a few leaves as some are yellowing. Tested PH of the soil and the nutrient solution and both are at 7PH. I will look at a few pictures to determine if I have a deficiency or perhaps an over feeding of a nutrient. It may be a magnesium deficiency, so I added more Cal-Mag to the water. I have sprayed some plain water on the leaves in order to keep the humidity up to 40%. Dry winter air in the house.
Picked off dried up leaves that showed nutrient problems. I had increased the concentration of nutrients in water. No new brown spots on leaves. Today the plants have signs of Nitrogen deficiency So, I will be increasing the concentration of just the PH Perfect Micro and putting the level of other Advanced Nutrients products back down to 4 ml in a liter.
As you can see from the photo, the plant is now feeding on itself. I have added more of the nitrogen containing pH Perfect Micro. That has not helped. Only 2 weeks left till the advertised harvest time.
Plant is still sucking the life out of its leaves in order to feed the buds. I had increased the level of nitrogen in the water but it has not stopped the yellowing of the leaves. I picked off the brown leaves which makes the plants look a bit better.
This strain contains THC! Crop King advertised that it has just 9% CBD with only 1% TCH. Now that I needed it for my cannabutter that I consume each morning in my coffee, I have discovered it will make me stoned. I am pleased with my success of growing 2 plants in a bedroom closet. The new LED light that is equivalent brightness to 1000 Watts incandescent. The buds were nice and full. Produced 64 grams dry weight.
I am pleased with my success of growing 2 plants in a bedroom closet. The new LED light that is equivalent brightness to 1000 Watts incandescent made a big improvement over my previous amateur attempt to grow a plant indoors . The buds were nicely packed full. I had a lot of trouble with mold on this strain when I grew it outdoors this past summer. Indoors it was completely free of mold.
