She is doing as expected. Running off nutrients in soil with the addition of some Cal-Mag +. Watch her, Water when she needs it, and try to keep her healthy!
I decided to defoliate all at the same time (in tent) even though this girl is a week behind. I did not top yet.
Feeding a weak mix of nutrients every 3 or 4 days.
I added a small fan.
She is growing well. Discontinued General Hydro Nutrients just as experiment. I love these nutrients in most all applications.
For fun I wanted to try Lotus Nutrients on the girls in the dirt. I mixed as directed and then diluted down to around 800ppm. Some people my say that I don't push my plants enough. I just look at overall health and leaf appearance and adjust accordingly. I'm just nervous. I have burned the shit out of all kinds of plants by following the feeding charts. If I need to change my way of thinking I would appreciate some insight.
I hope to flower within 3 weeks. I am going for a shorter veg this time. Still, some go shorter. I have just been vegging too long and I believe that opens your grow to all kind of issues, not to mention a possible expense curve to think about.
I am feeding every other time with ph'd water and Hydrogaurd. She looks healthy and is responding well to environment.
I moved this girl into her new home. 2 x 4 room with DIY light that I figure to be around 200 watts. I am trying to establish a perpetual grow. I smoke way too much weed.
Now... I have no idea that PPFD is accurate. I take readings with a free phone app. It reads around 700 PPFD. Whether it's right or wrong, it is a baseline and the plants, that I have grown so far seem to enjoy the PPFD (my reading) to be anywhere from 700 to 800 PPFD during Veg. I slowly bump up as I approach Flower.
Just lotus nutrients as directed and diluted down to around 850 ppm.
Some leaf picking. I want to flower in approximately one week. I am very nervous to see how my DIY light works. I know I need another light. Just no funds. Maybe Santa?
I water when they are dry and feed every other time. I am just trying to give them what they need and want.
Mild mixture of neem oil and water, sprayed at night (probably every 5 days) as PM (preventive).
Wild fluctuations in humidity (creation of microclimate, and weather). I also, see no way around purchasing a dehumidifier.
This girl is really enjoying herself. Ok, so she appears to be a little undernourished but all my grows just came out of a dark period before flower. I have noticed that they will sort of yellow with no sunlight. If she doesn't green up, I change her food a bit. I do watch her a bit closer because she is in a homemade soil mixture.
I will start using the Lotus Booster in a week.
She went into flower very healthy.
I know bunches of folks say don't defoliate during or right before flower. I don't know about this? Still experimenting. I did do some very light defoliation 3 days after flower cycle started. I will leaf pick throughout flower and in about 2 weeks then II will begin to isolate the bud sites I will try to flower and clean the plant up considerably. (If anyone gets this far and cares to comment I would like your thoughts on defoliation.)
Rolling into flower nice and healthy. Still under the DIY light. Looking good sooo far.
I will begin backing off on Nitrogen and bumping up the Pot and Phos and trying to give a nice selection of micronutrients. The Lotus Nutrients have been easy and appear to be getting the job done. They lean towards nitrogen. In my attempt to flower I want to be sure and watch the amount of nitrogen that I feed. I believe this has been a cause for some of my missteps during mid to late flower.
I have tempted but have not added any soil or dry amendments. I want to leave her in the same pot and soil she germinated in.
I will clean up in a week and then selectively leaf pick until harvest. After this next "sort of " major defoliation I will not stress out anymore thru harvest.
Moving lights as necessary to try and achieve somewhere between 800 - 1000 PPFD.
I will also be germinating new seeds for my perpetual grow in about a week.
Not able to show plant really good but she is doing good and prospering. She is a week younger than her in tent companions and it shows. Apparently, one week makes quite a difference in Veg. Of course, Pheno dependant also but she is quite a bit smaller than the other strains.
I'm gonna let her ride, with limited leaf picking until harvest.
Very little but the fragrance is straight up fuel. Of all my current grows I am most interested in this girl. Oddly, this grow was for some fruity flavors and smells, which I like, but it is the fuel that draws me in.👹
Nice growth, I noticed she is still just a bit pale. I fed today. see if I can give her a little of what she wants without overdoing.
Nutrients started around 975 ppm. Probably going to peak with this feed. Let the girls level off to about 800ppm and slowly decrease with every feeding or so. My schedule is FWWFWWF or FWWWFWWWF.
We have experienced some humid weather, no de-humidification yet, so the soil is not drying out as quickly. Also, they will start drinking less as the over the 1/2-way hump in flower.
Smaller pot, less vegetation time, and possibly DIY light have made this girl smaller than the others, in the tent. All kinds of grow options with grows it just depends on how you want to do it.
Gas smell. I'm excited.
This plant along with 1 of my Runtz now have a new 6 x 6 home that will eventually be used as a flower room in a perpetual grow. Well almost new home. I still have to get a light and ventilation. Thinking about EZ- 8 (Medic Grow) if you have read this far, do you have any thoughts?
So far so good. This lady is fairly happy. She is just a little light colored compared to other plants in tent but I think thats just how she is.
My feeding 📅 schedule hasn't changed much. Slowly backing off and take most of her nitrogen away.
Buds are nice and frosty. Average gassy smell.
Just a note. I feed about every 3rd water. Note. I do not water every day.
GERMINATED new run today.
I've been lucky so far, with this entire run of plants. This lady has been no exception. Not much to say, I am just trying to get her to the finish line.
This plant is in a smaller container and a week behind the others in this grow. I wanted to see what production I could get out of smaller plants and less time. I am still experimenting. I am hoping to settle on a combination that will fit well into a perpetual grow, that I am integrating with the next couple of runs.
Really bright green color to the leaves. May or may not change as she progresses.
Straight up fuel smell so far. Not overpowering.
Continuing to leaf pick. Watering slightly less, but as needed. I am wanting her to fill out just a little more. Maybe she will put it on in the end. 😎
She is the lone Green Goddess in the house. All the other grows are dark and purple. The green is nice to see.
Although in a small pot and under DIY light she is beginning to put on some healthy buds. Trichomes are beginning to glisten. I like the size this plant grew. I think for experiments I will use this size. If I fall in love with the results. I will grow in 5-gallon hydro or soil. 5-gallon fabric pots and hydro buckets appear to produce a nice size plant for my rooms. Though I have never tried bigger.👊👍👊
Smell is fuel now with added evergreen freshness. Kind of a sharp, tart smell. But mainly straight up weed smell.👌
Running her out of nutrients as she nears harvest. I have had some fox tailing in the first few grows, most likely for several reasons but I am going to try and make sure that too much nitrogen is not one of them. Another source may be light stress. I'll see how the close nutrient watch goes.😶
As I mentioned she is lighter that others as she was from start. I used a large portion of homemade soil for her so she may have been little deficient. However, I used the same sauce for her as I did with the other plants in soil. I think that is just the color she is. 😘
Fingers crossed that she rolls into harvest happy and healthy. Should be getting close now.
This girl has turned out very nice. I am interested to see what is in store for her during the next couple of weeks. I still think she needs about 3 more weeks.
Starting just the last couple of days to see some fade in the lower, larger fan leaves. I hope it is fade. :) Looks like she will turn sort of yellow. I have loved her vibrant green and fresh appearance.
Just starting to smell some hints of lemon coming through. Very nice. Fresh!
I will still take leaves as necessary and as they die. Slowing on water and on Nutrients.
I love this little girl! 😍
Great Humboldt genetics. This lady is the bright spot in the tent. Smaller pot 1 week less Veg time equals smaller plant. Very nice and healthy plant. The buds are beginning to grow and get some weight to them.
Some of the leaves are beginning to turn a beautiful lemon yellow. I am pretty sure that this is normal process for her. She still seems to be enjoying life. Leaves have developed some deeper ridges which normally means I have screwed up the ph a little bit. I am not sure about that, but all this girl will get is a couple more lite feedings and then nothing but water at finish. In other words, no real drastic corrective measures are going to be taken this close to finish.
Smell is strong. Has some citrus and fuel smell. I would still describe it as "bright". Very sticky trikes.
Oh man temps are rising. We are in mid 80's already with ph everywhere. I am going to try a window a/c in an adjacent room to try and get a hold on my environment. If I don't solve both these issues very soon my grows will be very challenging during warmer months.
I am still slowing down on nutrients.
I think this little lady will get the chop along with the other girls. She is the youngest in the tent although her flower time is the same as the older plants. She is mainly cloudy with a few clear and no amber. I think I will harvest in about 10 days. Will give just water the last couple of days.
Remained bright and green throughout the grow. Began showing some browns, yellows and purples last week. May have shown some deficiencies a little earlier than you would expect so I probably didn't feed just right.
Smell is similar to how she looks. Bright and clean with some strong lemon/citrus. Nice trichomes production but not super heavy. I have found that the amount of stickiness doesn't always equate to strength. So, this girl could still be wicked. I hope so....
Not a real big yielder but that is probably due to several factors that I created. Again, I may be surprised. Most of my plants are quite larger. I am experimenting with smaller plants. They are a bunch easier for me to deal with. Product is just for my use so huge yield is not a must.
I have been happy with this plant. I would like to try in some 5 gallon or hydro down the road.
Just like kids... love to watch them grow but glad to see them leave. This girl made it with flying colors. Finally, time to harvest.
Great lemon, gas, smell to me. Strong smell but moderate when compared to some of the stinkiest. Beautiful lemon yellow, with some pink colored stems.
I am eager to smoke and jar. She may be small, but she is nice and heavy. Great trichomes. Sticky business.
Nothing but ph'd water for the last 4 days.
Thanks to everyone who checked me out. I learn more with each and every grow. Check me out down the road. I am hanging some Burnt Orange Cookies in the next 5 days and I have a room full of Sativas at 7 weeks. In about 3 weeks I will put some more seeds in the oven and get my sprout on again. I'm very nervous about growing in the upcoming hot months. All I can do is try. Later Growmies! Peace! 😗😛😎
Very crisp and clean. Hints of lemon/citrus. Has been an afternoon cool down smoke for me. Very nice smooth high. Burns the hell out of my eyes... but I love it! 😭😎😍😑
I loved growing this plant. She didn't get real big but had some great yellow color and wonderful lemony smell with some fuel. Overall I will grow her again. I would like to see how she produces in a larger pot. Very, fresh smelling, clean, crisp. Finished on time. Nothing out of the ordinary on feeding. Hindsight would be to give a little more nitrogen during the middle of veg. She did get pale at one point. Easy grow.
