SativaJaponica Cannabis Growing Diary Seeds arrived on July 23 Preparing for germination, the seeds are smaller than I expected. To germinate, I used two folded cooking papers and a thin plastic container that usually holds deli food. I moistened it just enough to squeeze out a little water, and placed the seeds between the cooking papers without any water treatment. Since too much light can prevent germination, I placed a book on top to block the light. When I check the cooking paper, I always wash my hands to prevent bacterial growth. Germination on the 24th THCBomb roots extended about 5mm, GSC a few millimeters. For the growing medium, I used 80% soil for leeks as a base and added about 20% perlite. I also mixed in a small amount of zeolite and small Magamp granules. I mixed it by kneading in the bag, but it seems like the perlite has gathered on top. However, I think it can be used at the bottom of the pot for aeration. The indoor temperature is around 30°C, but it seems there are no issues with germination.

SativaJaponica I'm growing it with just water. It seems that the nutrients from the potting soil are sufficient. In Japan, we've had cloudy weather or heavy rain due to the direct hit from a typhoon and the arrival of the autumn rain front. The stem has thickened to about 2mm and has become more resilient to environmental changes. It seems better to grow indoors for at least a month. I found that the leaves were being eaten by a caterpillar (?), so I squished it. I still can't tell if it's male or female. I can't confirm the early flowers of a female or the balls of a male. It would be great if it's female, but even if it's male, I want to keep it alive indoors by adjusting the light hours.

SativaJaponica This was taken around early December or late November. The surroundings are covered with cardboard. I sprayed some silver paint to increase the reflectivity. This plant has suffered from spider mites and has had its leaves burned twice. I'm taking clones, but I'm not sure if they'll root. The soil for this plant is coco coir and perlite. It's about 50cm tall without the pot, and the room temperature is around 10-25℃. Up until this point, I was using commercial flowering liquid fertilizer along with a bit of Epsom salt and a growth booster. Before flowering, I used Sumitomo Chemical's liquid fertilizer for leafy greens.

SativaJaponica I'm currently using liquid fertilizer from Flower Factory and high-grade blooming liquid fertilizer. But after watching a video from someone in the Netherlands, I'm wondering if it was too early? The big leaves are yellowing and falling off. Hmm, is this where the real challenge begins? The top... I was growing it while leaving the apical bud intact. It got burned. So I used a flexible stick... I attached a string to a shorter stick for the tunnel house. I trained the side shoots. Now the lamp hits everything just right. It seems like giving more water rather than less is better for growth, so I want to provide more hydration. It's Thcbomb. Is there anyone who wants to buy it...? When I took a hit, I got a bit high. It's definitely a downer type.

SativaJaponica December 26th. The aroma is coming out. The flowers are blooming abundantly. A stink bug appeared from who knows where. I caught it, but it smells bad. Super cilantro. I was talking about clones on the Tor board, and it seems like the roots are growing well. The soil is coco coir and rice husks. It can get moldy, but for some reason, the cannabis is thriving.

SativaJaponica It's December 31st, New Year's Eve. Did I forget to water them? The flowers are a bit wilted? They've turned brown. The smell is getting stronger.

SativaJaponica January 2nd, I don't know, but I guess I haven't been giving them enough water after all. Or maybe they need a bit more nitrogen? I feel like the flowers with a little nitrogen in them grow bigger...

SativaJaponica 20190104 Adding trace elements. Almost no effect. 20190110 The yellowing is probably a natural phenomenon. Anyway, it's not an urgent problem, so I'll observe without rushing. I predict that if I panic and add various things, it will get worse. The cola and flower clusters have started to twist and lean over! Well, it can't be helped. I left it as it was, and later it leaned even more! Now, what should I do? I crouched down and reached into the back of the cardboard to support it. Just thinking about it seems tough, so I've decided not to do it this time. 20190115 The cola's droop is about to stick to the cardboard, so it's finally time to support it. My hands are covered in trichomes. Not good. But I managed to finish the support anyway. My hands smell really bad. The light is hot, so I started sweating... There are some that are leaning, but please forgive me (´;ω;`) The scent wafting is like a mix of melon and lemon, not a fresh smell. It has a sweetish aroma. When I bring my nose closer, a lemon-like freshness comes out. I wonder if it's almost time to harvest...

SativaJaponica As I mentioned before, I'm training them. And the color is gradually turning brown. Uh, the brown ones are the older pistils. The trichomes sparkle beautifully when you shine a light on them at night. The one with four growth tips in the third picture is actually the top of this plant. Unfortunately, there was a time when I forgot to fan the plant, and during that time, the growth tip died. So, it quickly flowered from a nearby side shoot, resulting in four buds. I had a hard time taking pictures of the trichomes, but how do they look? I want to do the harvest soon, but is it still too early? The colas are getting heavy and the buds are starting to droop more and more. I wonder if the colas are getting heavy or if the stems are just getting soft. As for the smell, last week I mentioned a sweet melon and lemon scent, but now it feels more like a refreshing banana scent. What I've realized is that training and screening should be done before flowering, lol. I guess it's obvious for those who are doing it. As for the harvest method... should I look it up again? Oh, I remembered. I haven't taken clones from this plant, but it's not an exceptional plant, so I guess it's fine not to take clones... Well, I probably can't take them now anyway...

SativaJaponica I successfully reached the harvest. Thank you all. I wrote on the Tor board that my motivation for cannabis cultivation is for medical purposes. I won’t write about my illness or symptoms because it would probably give me away. I’ve been struggling mentally, so I think this can be a good turning point. I mean, just the effort of growing and then enjoying the harvest is like a simulation game in itself, making me more positive about life... Actually, I didn’t want to say this too much, but my grow box is extremely cheap and shabby. I bought a gardening greenhouse that was originally 8000 yen and went on sale for about 3000 yen in early spring. I think it’s a 0.7 tsubo greenhouse with dimensions of 122cm wide x 186cm deep x 190cm high. You might wonder about using a greenhouse indoors or what about reflective materials? I brought just the frame inside. For the frame, I used reflective materials I bought at a 100 yen store. I somehow attached silver leisure sheets or silver insulation sheets to the frame. From the outside, it looks like a total cardboard cutout. However, I think the total material cost was around 5000 yen. I also used the outer sheet for outdoor cultivation. Speaking of outdoor cultivation... I didn’t want to say this too much, but I’m also growing a large number of other gardening plants at the same time... I used it to keep those plants warm. And near the cannabis I’m growing indoors, there are so many gardening plants that there’s hardly any space to step, (-_-;). I cultivated under very poor working conditions. As you can see in the photos, I picked up a larger cardboard box from waste materials to partition the narrow greenhouse. I sprayed the cardboard with silver spray to reflect light. I also put reflective sheets on the floor to reflect light. Also, I’m a bit embarrassed, but I mentioned on the Tor board that I used gibberellin in >>182, but the hormone I actually used was oxymetholone. It was effective, but I made a mistake in writing. Someone else corrected me, but I still didn’t realize I had made a mistake... Sorry about that. I finished harvesting the larger buds, but I’ll shine a light on them for 24 hours to see how they respond. I’m checking if they can go back to the growth stage. As for fans, they are essential if the light generates a lot of heat. Especially during the flowering stage, high temperatures can easily cause leaf burn. Running a fan helps improve this. I have a strange plan, but I intend to buy AUTO seeds in the future, crossbreed them with regular seeds, and create auto seeds. Then I plan to scatter them in nearby vacant lots and riverbanks. With auto strains, I think I can harvest several times between spring and autumn. With regular seeds, they tend to grow too large by autumn, making it easier to get caught as cannabis. I also want to produce non-auto seeds at a low price or almost for free. I have three cheese plants that came with free seeds, but I made a rookie mistake during training... or stretching? I made a small cut at the base of the branches while fixing them with tape. I made canna butter with the leaves I harvested during cultivation. The result was a failure. I bought a thermometer that can measure up to 200℃ at a home center, placed a pot on my home stove, and laid cooking paper inside with roughly crushed leaves, covered it, and waited for an hour... I aimed for a temperature of 110℃, but it seems it went above that, resulting in decarboxylation, but it seems the terpenes evaporated. Regarding cooking the butter with water, the water evaporates much faster. I could only boil it for about 20 minutes after it started boiling. The result was butter that had a slight tea aroma (´;ω;`) At the same time, I’m also trying to cultivate magic mushrooms. I mean, I even injected the spores after microwaving them, but they kept rotting, so I think the microwave was indeed bad. I plan to get a pressure cooker and experiment again. Well, the spores might have gone bad, so I might have to buy them again. I mean, cultivating magic mushrooms (MM) was my original goal about three years ago, so why did I end up cultivating cannabis instead?! Oh, and I still have seeds that I haven't cultivated yet, and I plan to grow them. Sativa Ghost Train Haze. Lavender-scented Green Love Potion. LSD. Lemon Zkittle. Blackberry Dream. Since I only have one of each, I’m not sure if they will grow properly ( ;∀;) Please watch over me with a warm eye as I do these strange things. I bought Girl Scout Cookies and Thcbomb from Seed City ttps://420jp.net/seedcity/ ttps://thehighclass.jp/2018/07/25/cultivation/good-place-to-buy-cannabis-seeds-is-seed-city/7/ For more details, check here ↑ I purchased cheese, Ghost Train Haze, Green Love Potion, etc., from ttps://marysseeds.co.uk/ which is Mary’s Seeds. Regarding payment methods, there are various options. Please research it yourself. There are various ways to transfer money to the shop’s bank. The bank for the transfer is not in the country where the shop is located but goes through a third country. You will receive a payment statement from there, so don’t be surprised if it looks suspicious. About packaging. Since I bought a small amount from Seed City, when I first opened the stealth package, I thought, “It’s not there, I was tricked,” but when I looked closely, it was there. It was properly labeled. As for Mary’s Seeds, since I bought a slightly larger amount (about 10 seeds), they were obviously in the package, and I thought, “Are they being monitored by the police?”
