Black Velvet round 2

Alright. So here we are going for a second run this time using Drip Hydro a new Nutrient company. I also included a screenshot of their feed schedule so you guys can see what pertains to what on my chart. Black Velvet was released by Clearwater Genetics after a bad fallout with another breeder. So for that Clearwater released it for people in their Discord as a fuck you to that breeder I cannot complain. I wanted to do a new run with this strain because the last one I did I know the harvest is gonna be subpar so I’m going at it again. We are using an Autopot system so if anyone knows how to tag them that would be highly appreciated and thank you all for tuning in again as we try to get the optimal grow out of this Black Velvet.

Well what can I say that these pictures cannot. The start of week 2 has started and man has she gotten big. I did top it so the bottom stuff would shot up. She seems to be a slow drinker rn filled up the res with about 10 gal seems like she’s only drank 3gal for the week. I will let it veg until the res is empty then we will flip. So far liking drip hydro.

This week has been awesome. Reservoir has been lasting is pretty well these 3weeks. I filled it with 10gals and have not had to top it up. Dropped the trellis net on the girls to get her to open up more, I will be adding 1-2 more layers of trellis just in case when we flower we make sure to really spread them out. I’m really loving this Autopot 10gals has really gone a long way I just make sure to check the ph and we are good. This 10gal reservoir has been a game changer!!! If you’ve been wasting/going through your nutrients fast I suggest you get one of these and in the comments add Midnitrtoker from IG sent me. Trying to get sponsored and give one of these systems away!! Like I said i filled up the res with 10gal and it has gone 4weeks!!! Today I empty out what’s left and change the feed to flower. That means we up the EC a tad and let it go. If 10gal lasted up 4 weeks we will be using 5gal this time and hope it lasts us the first 3 weeks of flower. I have not experienced any deficiencies the tips are turning purple but that’s because my night temps drop to the low 70s even to 69F. I took cuts of these girls again. Next round we will be using Floraflex or Athena. Same environment different nutrients we will see which company gives us the biggest harvest. See you all at the end of week 1 Flower.

This week has been crazy!!!! Realized that 10gal should NOT be lasting 4weeks. I did noticed one of the plants looks weird like it could’ve hermed and I do not blame the plant I’ve stressed the crap outta these babies. I will give them till week 3 to see if anything happens hopefully I’m just tripping out. I did change out the res added the next weeks flower feed BUT this time we only added 3gal as I want to make sure the plants drink it all within the week. As you can see I got some major defoliation to come. Thanks again for tuning in.

What can I say. This week has been awesome!! Looking like 6gal is the sweet spot for a week’s reservoir. I increased the EC to 3.0 as the breeder suggested they looked a little light. The plants have been praying and I like it. Did a heavy defoliation last week and you can’t even notice. I will do one more defoliation before the week is over to ensure light penetration. This week has been amazing. I did some defoliation since last week but you can hardly tell. She has been taking the 3.0 EC real well I thought I definitely had hermed it but damn if she isn’t resilient. I e noticed she drinks 6gal rn I feel that’s gonna ramp up these last coming weeks. This Autopot system has really changed everything I don’t got to worry about any timers or anything just check my ph and that’s it. Was trying to play around with a new feed schedule for the upcoming weeks but threw my EC outta wack figured I’d see what happens at 2.2 EC as I should be tapering down soon. Started to notice some over feeding symptoms but I might be tripping. Still trying to dial in this Autopot it could also be that I’m using doctor zymes as an IPM and I have to spray the coco on top causing the nutrient build up to go down towards the roots? Idk but either way we will still chug along we are 3 weeks away from chopping down anyway so let’s go!!!!

What’s is up everybody. Reaching the last few weeks of flower. I do got to say I am a little disappointed with these nutrients even tho I ran these flowers at 3.0 EC they seem too small for me, at the same time this is my first run ever with Drip I will be running it again but with another strain where we will do a side by side. I will run the strain with Drip and then we will run Floraflex after with the same strain. Thank you all for tuning along. I do hope I get better results next time.

Almost at harvest. This is the last week of feeding then on to flush. I have it an extra week as I said before was not really satisfied with the overall performance of drip hydro. Buds seem to small and not dense as other nutrients I’ve used. I will definitely run drip hydro again see if I can get better results. The real test will be at harvest after weighing. We are almost at the chop!!! This week we are flushing and getting ready to chop her down once and for all. I cut all the nutrients and I am feeding phd water only along with some root drip from Floraflex to help dissolve any build up see you all in 10 days after the dry let’s see how much we pulled.

She has been chopped!!! Now we will be back in 10 -14 days depending on how trimming goes. That’s the part I hate the most. Probably will pick up a trim bag been seeing those puppies around and seems like it could be a good accessory to have. Thank you all
