Have started next crop whilst my first crop grows into maturity. Think I shall grow only two this time as 3 seemed confined. This time around I should have a constant temperature and humidity stablised.

I have a question about soil pH, what should it be? Should I start with soil around 6.5 pH? Currently it's 7ish. So thermostat switch has arrived :), installed it, and set target temperature to 23C. Have read the night time temp should be a degree less but am growing Autos on 20/4 light cycle. Is it worth lowering the temperature for 4 hrs? More to the point, will I be disciplined enough to change the target temp every day...... No, probably not! Having a go at LST on Big Yield. Stuck some wire in the soil and bent it over. Will see how she fares. My companion plant is showing signs of life. Got little seedlings :) Been looking at other diaries, how come people's seedlings are like trees by week 2???! Mine is like 2 inches....:(

Big Yield is taking off but am unsure why because I lobbed a load of seaweed into the soil and have also started using Power Roots and Pure Zym. Should had probably done one at a time! Trying to LST BY, but think I might be being a bit premature. Need to wait until I get a bit of length.... I transplanted Cookies to a fabric pot (now that. one has become free). The root base was good but afraid will have stressed the tree in the process. But now it sits in lovely Plagron Batmix. Am sure it will recover.

Big Yield is looking really good. Have stopped trying to LST, going to wait until 10inches, and then bend over. Gorilla Cookies has slowed, probably because transplanted it into final fabric pot. But did have very good roots, and so am expecting it to take off soon. Plus it is planted in Plagron Batmix. Expecting explosive growth!!! :) Have transplanted Basil too. Am wondering should I expect a twang of Basil when I smoke???? Have observed my seedlings have grown much better this time, squatter and bushy. I believe stabilising the day and night temp has improved the growing environment, and probably all the root and soil nutrients have contributed😀

Having a crack at LST. Surprised how bendy the branches are, which is lucky. Pinning them down with some garden wire. Don't think I have done a very good job, but will see how it turns out. Got a net too, so trying to do SoG, but don't think I've tied the netting down tight enough. Reckon will move it between grows so held in place with tent poles. :) My basil has started its young life...

Have been reading up about denser buds... Think I need to improve my airflow... After moving fan, had to move thermostat as was in a cold spot and the heater stayed on permanently, which freaks me out during the night. Am debating whether to get a 2nd fan, but to be honest, think my grow space is small enough for just one. Why can't clip ons have a vertical attachment??? So bloody annoying. Got myself a PH Pen and have started taking PH levels using this, where before was using a cheap soil PH tester. The soil PH tester was measuring 6.8, but the PH Pen registered 4.8!!! I think I believe the PH Pen! Oops. Lesson learnt. Surprised the plants weren't more affected though.... hmmmm Got some meat eating plants in my grow room. Think I should probably remove the sticky tape so the plants can feast!!! So...thought I was doing a SoG, but have been educated by a more knowledgable friend that all I have is a support net! Lol! I need two nets to achieve my mission. Next grow then... Anyways, got way more blossom this time...:)

My trees have seemed a little stressed of late. Probably because fed them acid for water, so thought I should treat them to clean water (straight from tap). Fed them each a litre but assumed the tap water would be around 7, but it seems mine is 8.2. So much for the chilled treat! I'm now back to using nutes, but at lower dose of around 1.5 EC, and correctly measured PH of 6.8. Companion plants are doing well. Basil leaves are ready for picking, which is good because I like Italian. My carnivorous flesh eating triffids don't look too well. Have removed the fly tape, hoping that they are now feasting, but not so sure..? That said haven't seen any creepy crawlies in the tent... Have cranked up the fan onto speed 2. Want to ensure a good airflow around my trees and prevent bud rot, but most importantly get denser buds :). Problem is I switch it off when I sleep. Am wondering if those missing 8hrs of air circulation will be a problem? I've also cranked up the air extraction to lower the humidity. Trying to get it down to 45, but requires major sucking and loads of noise.... Might invest in ear plugs. The Big Yield is at the back and is a 2 or 3 weeks older than Gorilla Cookies, but my Gorillas have been a bit slow from the start. Am wondering if the seaweed extract I put in the Big Yield potting mix has mad the difference, or is it genetics? The pistils on the BY seem bigger and thicker than previous grow, but GC pistils look a bit disappointing. They may fatten up over time, will wait and see. Have observed that my night time temperature drops a good 3 or 4 degrees even with the heater. I was hoping the heater would keep the temperature around 22, daytime being 23/24C, but it isn't up to the job. Will probably invest in another...

Installed a Secret Jarden 30watt fan in the ceiling blowing air down onto the lights and the warm air from the lights onto the trees. I've kept a 12" fan in the corner blowing air up and across through the trees. Got myself an 80watt heater to try and stabilise the temperature when lights go out, but temperature is still dropping considerably. Thinking about putting insulation plaster boards around tent to keep the heat in, and should be good for when the summer comes too. My eat eaters seem to be doing well. I haven't seen any creepy crawlies about. Think I might repot them and put them in a trough. Would make handling them a lot easier. Have been watering quite a bit, probably too much. I think my trees are suffering from nute burn and a lockout, so watered them nute free, but didn't wait until soil was completely dry. Think I may have waterlogged them. Anyways... My EC is usually between 1.9 and 2.1. Am wondering if it's too high, maybe I should dilute it a bit to around 1.5? Hmmm... Need to stop being so enthusiastic watering my trees... Big Yield is looking well and think it is the stinky one of the two.. I reckon it's a couple of weeks from harvest. I thought these Autoflowers were supposed to be 12 weeks? Not very punctual these trees. Have bought myself. a jewellers magnify thingy so hope to be able to identify the little mushrooms what me call-its. Gorilla Cookies seems to be lacking compared to BY, not sure why? Maybe it's because Big Yield is supposed to be big??! Lol. Have upgraded my ventilation to a 6" fan, which is sweet, quieter and sucks all the humidity out great :). and the heat :(. Have relocated the massive carbon filter to the bottom to try and draw out cold air rather than warm. With the new carbon filter am running out of space for trees. Going to make a stand and lie it horizontally... Not sure that will improve the situation thinking about it... Hmmm... Another issue I have created for myself with the 6" is that even on it's lowest setting it sucks all the humidity out of the tent, so next grow I'm going to have an issue with low humidity... Balls......

Well shit seems to be going well. My flowers should be bigger I reckon, well I wish they were. Am wondering if the massive change in day and night temperatures is being detrimental to the growth, or is it I switch the air ventilation off whilst I sleep? I doubt the temperature differences will be an issue for long as spring is here and summer around the corner. Will probably be complaining about too much heat soon. Kind of hope the new fat 6" extractor fan will deal with that issue. Have seen a couple of bugs onto of the soil, but they seem to be heading towards the carnivorous plants :), and they look quite healthy so I imagine that they have a goof feast during the night cycle. Maybe I should set up infra-red camera so I can watch the action? Have reduced the humidity down to 45/50% with the new extractor fan, and hoping this has a beneficial effect on my flowers. I reckon I got a pretty good root zone as the soil seems dense with roots and has become hard to push a finger in, wet too. Will have a check when I harvest which I think will be end of this week for the Big Yield. The top colas look almost ready (?), although lower down ones not so, so will do a bit at a time. Gorilla Cookies look a few weeks off in my opinion... Have diluted some of my water nutes down to 1.6 as I thought the trees looked a bit nute burnt. Have given just pH water too. I reckon over did the watering, need to wait a bit between irrigation sessions me thinks....

Went away for a week and missed ideal harvest. Unfortunately, the harvest seems to have been fried to a crisp. Last time I share the responsibility. :(

Left it too long and burnt them to a crisp. I suppose it means they won't take long to dry and cure... :(
