So this grow was a little bit of an accident. I intended on just planting the one Gold Leaf in the new 3x3 by itself, but after 4 days of not popping up out of the soil (after my usual 1 day in water 1 day in paper towel) I assumed the worst and started a Cherry GarSeeYa. Ironically the next day it did pop up so now I’ll be doing both in the 3x3 together. 12/18 Cherry Garcia seed put into shot glass. Seed immediately sunk to the bottom instead of floating. First time I’ve seen that 12/19 Gold Leaf has sprouted in the solo cup, CG put in paper towel 12/20 CG placed in solo cup with a baggie on top for humidity. GL seems to be doing ok 12/21 The 3x3 has arrived and it’s all set up. Moved them both into it and got a real humidity dome around CG. The automatic environment control with this Spider Farmer tent and exhaust system is absolutely killing it. Everything with environment is bang on 12/22 CG has just popped up out of the soil. I’ll call today day 1 for both, even though that won’t be entirely true for GL. The idea is to let CG catch up to GL anyways, so it’ll be fine.

12/22 CG has just popped up out of the soil. I’ll call today day 1 for both, even though that won’t be entirely true for GL. The idea is to let CG catch up to GL anyways, so it’ll be fine. 12/23 Helmet head was removed from CG so hopefully it’s smooth sailing to veg stage now. 12/24 Both got a decent watering. CG looks like it may have taken a little damage from the helmet head. It’s still progressing so hopefully that doesn’t matter much. 12/25 GL is chugging right along, doing very well. CG was clearly mishandled by me trying to remove the helmet head. It still looks ok though, hoping it recovers soon 12/27 Added a little water to both. GL was starting to fall over a bit so I put in a wire to help hold it upright

12/30 Both are on track. I’ll let the CG catch up for a couple more days then it’ll be transplant time. 12/31 Did the transplant tonight, using my usual canna brick/nute mix mixed about 50/50 with Coco Loco. Tried applying Mykos to the root ball and hole but it mostly collected in the bottom. Both root balls largely fell apart during the transplant, so I fully expect some shock. Light adjusted to 230 PAR / 14.9 DLI 1/4 Everything progressing well. Light adjusted to 270 PAR / 17.5 DLI

1/5 Both got water today, both from up top and by bottom watering. Noticed some issues on the leaves of CG and realized I had the light on a bit too high. I just did the same thing with my other grow so obviously I had a few too many when adjusting lights last. It’s early though and it’s not dramatically high so I’ll just leave it be and not touch the lights for a little bit. 1/9 Growth has been good. I had a little water left over from watering the other plants so they each got a quick shot. pH was 6.9 with some silica mixed in. I didn’t measure but it was probably less than a quarter gallon each. 1/10 Both have added height so I took some PAR readings. Got 280 PAR / 18.1 DLI at CG, 290 PAR / 18.8 DLI at GL. Pretty sure my PAR meter is inaccurate so I was likely driving them a bit hard the past week. I’ll leave the light as is for the next week to get back on track. 1/11 GL was getting light so I gave a decent shot of water to the top and bottom of the pot. Gave a smaller shot to CG as it was generally ok. GL is ready to be topped but I think I’ll wait for CG to catch up and top them together at the same node site.

1/13 Everything still looks good. Took a light measurement at the top of GL and got 300 PAR / 19.4 DLI. 1/14 Watered both with silica water. 1/15 Probably should have happened yesterday along with the watering, but today was the first feeding. 5 Tbsp of Gaia Green All Purpose were top dressed in to both. GL was also right where I wanted it (6th node) so it got topped. 1/16 Both got recharge water today, but I ran out of water before I could finish GL. I’ll have to come back to it tomorrow. 1/18 GL was very dry so that got a bunch of water. Gave a good splash to CG too, but not as much. Decided it was time to top CG, and even topped GL again just to try to bring it down closer to CG. Not the best planning on my part, but oh well. Installed the net, gonna try using that to even things out. This whole run is a little haphazard at this point, so I may as well try stuff out and see what works.

1/21 Both were very dry so they got plain water, pH 6.9. Definite signs of light stress starting at the tops of both, so I raised the light a good bit for now. I cannot trust my PAR meter so I’ll be eyeballing any light adjustments I think. 1/22 So I just discovered why all my grows start showing issues, and go figure this one has started to show them as well. Going organic in coco is just not viable. Considering this I decided to start the flip to flower now. I don’t know if I’ll even be able to get them to make it that far, only saving grace is I think I added a little extra coco loco in those pots so it may have some amount of soil to actually make it. This is now just a rush job and hope for the best. I’ll give recharge every watering to keep the microbes working as much as possible. 1/23 Top dressed in 1 cup of fresh Coco Loco, 1 cup of worm castings, and 2 Tbsp of gaia green bloom to both. Both then got a good shot of some compost tea I started brewing yesterday. Light adjusted to 450 PAR / 19.44 DLI.

1/26 Both got a good watering today and a round of defoliation. First signs of pistil hairs on the CG. Bumped the light up to 575 PAR / 25 DLI. 1/28 Lots of defoliation done today for both. Also both pots were light so both got about a gallon of recharge water. 1/29 CG was a little light so since I had water mixed up already for the other plants I added some to both. 1/31 Both got some recharge water today. I’m keeping up with weaving them both through the net to fill out the tent, and it’s obvious the stretch is ongoing and the stems are starting to firm up a bit. I’m not too far off from filling the space though so all good. Also adjusted the light to 860 PAR / 37.2 DLI. This might be a bit drastic right now but it’s the first run with this tent, gotta see where limits are.

2/2 Both got water this morning. I’ve been having an issue with temps getting pretty high in the tent. I decided to raise the light as far up as I can get it and set it to 750 PAR / 32.4 DLI. This is keeping me around 85 F and 60% RH. 2/4 The furnace shit the bed in the middle of the night. By the time I noticed all my tents were at 52 degrees F and lord knows how long they were like that. I got the space heater up and running and quickly got the temps back to where they needed to be, but I’m not sure how much this will hurt them. 2/5 Both pots were light and got recharge water. I’m also just gonna crank the light to 100% at max height. This comes out to 930 PAR / 40.2 DLI 2/7 Both pots were light and got water. 2/8 Both needed water again. At this point it’s obvious I’ll be watering everyday now. Time to investigate drip irrigation.

2/9 Took off some lower bud sites that obviously wouldn’t have led to much. The stretch has definitely arrived too. New canopy PAR reading of 1000 PAR / 43.2 DLI 2/11 Decided to do the next feeding today. 3 Tbsp Gaia Green Power Bloom and 2 Tbsp Gaia Green AP, 1 cup EWC, and 1 cup of fresh potting soil to mix it all with. 2/12 Watered both plants. 2/14 I finally installed a new RO water system so that will be my new water source. My tap water is exceptionally high in EC (about 1050) and my RO water is coming out around 150. For now my new water recipe will include silica and calmag, and both were watered with this. 2/15 Took some light measurements. On average it’s around 1000 PAR all around the canopy, but I do have a bud standing tall above the rest that’s getting around 1100 PAR.

2/24 I’ve noticed yellowing in the lower parts of both. Obviously it’s about time for a little fade anyways but just in case I added 1 Tbsp of Bloom, a small amount of worm castings, and then water to both. Hopefully that’s a small enough boost to keep them going until harvest. Also, I removed the trellis net and added a few wires for LST instead. The net was just in the way too much.

3/2 I noticed one of the branches on CG was hanging low, turns out I snapped it at the base with my LST session last week. It was snapped for awhile now so I just cut it off and am drying that for some early samples. 3/4 Watered with calmag and recharge

3/19 Chop time is almost here, likely tomorrow. A quick trichome check shows some amber just starting to pop up so that’s my signal.

Very easy grow. I did accidentally break a stem off a few weeks ago which will obviously impact my yield, but other than that everything was smooth.
