GreenChick This is week 4 of my third grow attempt. Previous 2 attempts failed miserably to the point where I'm close to giving up. I've developed back pain and am hoping to harvest these high CBD strains to help with pain management. I'm hoping that the comments you leave will help me figure out what I'm screwing up. First 2 grow attempts used synthetic nutes. This attempt I'm trying General Organics GO Box. Using RO water, soil mix 4:1 organic soil- perlite. Growing in 2x4 tent, 400W LED. Seedlings always start out great. Constant issues with all 3 grows: 1. stems never grow bigger and heartier, stay thin and weak. 2. Tips of lower leaves turn yellow, then become brown and crispy, movning its way up the plant. Usually edges of leaves turn lighter green, then brown, then crispy, wilt, die. Problem solving: 1. After tons of research, I thought I was dealing with Phosphorous deficiency. Tried nutes to fix. Didn't work 2. Second thought was a Mag deficiency. Tried a light Epson salt feeding. Didn't work. 3. Different plants, I tried: flushing, drying out soil, more watering, less nutes, more nutes. Didn't work Please help me!

GreenChick There are 3 strains here: candida, and 2 sacrificial freebie seeds that came with my package. You can see the brown crispy leaves at the bottom. Lower leaves starting to lighten at edges. I've usually watered, feed, water, feed every few days in between. This third grow attempt is the first time I'm feeding at full strength, since its my understanding that organic nutes are better for this And the directions say to feed this way. I have a humidity dome with 3 new seedlings to apply lessons learned on. 2 Charlottes Angel, 1 Candida

GreenChick Kush - don't know why these brown wrinkled leaves happen. This same thing happened to my last 2 grows until it spread to the entire plants which all died eventually. Light feed once this week. Last week fed light epson salt mixture, thinking that it was a Mag Deficiency. Pineapple Haze - Last week transplanted to 3 gal fabric pot. This week one full feed. See how the tips turn brown, curl up. Mag Def? Candida 1 - Few bottom leaves yellowing btw veins. Upper 1/3 looking good, but you can see the very tips starting to lighten up.. fed 1/2 nutes, 1/2 epson salt. 3 days later - fed 1/2 strength mix nutes. Charlottes angel 1 - light green. still in dome. feed 1/2 strength Charlottes angel 2 - bigger than 1, lighter edges. feed 1/2 strength Candida 2 - small. light green. 1/2 strength. Gonna try to update my next two weeks today or tomorrow.Thx for your input

GreenChick Haze - after feeding 3/4 strength nutes, top seems much better. didn't feed the previous week after transplanting to fabric pot. bottom 1/2 of all pots are usually pretty heavy, but the top 1/2 are usually very dry. kush - looks similar to last week. I cut 1/2 the dead leaves off bottom 2/3. full feed nutes. looks like new growth on top. candida 1 - last week fed 1/2 epson salt, 1/2 nutes. this week looks a little better. top 1/2 dark green. some light yellowing btw vein/edges, but not getting worse. maybe happened from transplant? one full feed this week. Charlottes angel 1,charlottes angel 2, Candida 2 - transplant to 3 gal fabric pot. lots of algae in cups. early in week, light feed mix 3. end of week, transplant to 3 gal smart pot. candida 2 didn't go smooth and fell over. staked up. ***mix 3: Go Box - grow 5ml, camg+ 5 ml, root 5, weed 5, marine 5, black 5. I used clear cups so I could make sure roots were growing, and to see if I was watering correctly

GreenChick Haze - transplant to 5 gal pot, water. a few days later noticed some more yellowing. been a week since last feeding. mid/upper 1/3 brown tips that are curling up. i think its a mag def, so i fed 1/2 epso1/2 full feed mix 2. Kush - mostly dead. feed mix 3 + epson salt. candida 1 - looked way too crowded. transplanted midweek to 5 gal fabric pot. some of the bottom leaves are brown, yellow, dying. mid 1/3 yellowing edges and btw vein/edges. feed 1/2 epson salt mix, 1/2 mix 2. Charlottes angel 1 - top 1/3 darker green, lighter edges, yellow tips. bottom 2/3 - yellowing edges, tips starting to brown, curl up. feed epson salt _mix3. Char angel 2 - few bottom leaves necrosis where they touched the soil I think. feed mix 3. Candida 2 - dull rich green, new rich growth. full feed mix2, epson salt.

All 3 failed grows use organic soil/perlite, fabric pots. Each grow, Tried more/less water, and more/less nutes. I'm using GO Box nutes this time. Same problem as always - bottom leaves lighten at leaf edges, veins stay green. Leaf tips brown, crinkle, travels up leaf, up plant

Hey there, just a couple things, i see you mention fungus gnats? Id try getting some of those square sticky papers to put at soil level, itll catch a good amount of bugs. Usually gnats hint at high moisture. You could also turn loose some predatory insects like lady bugs and pirate bugs.the neem is good for getting the larvae so less hatch and become adults. What soil are you using? Most decent soil has enough nutrients for at least a couple weeks. I hope everything gets a bit better, usually time will tell. Possibly check the lights if you think its not ph or nutrients, they can cause as much spotting and burning as any toxicity/deficiencies. Best of luck, dont give up!

If you failed in different setups, and everytime the same happend, then the Mistake is not in the Setup or the Plants. Well how to say it nice and clear in one.....Try to summup the Informations youve got and Handle after the Recommondations. I see Only discussions and no handling of the Problems. Ok said....

GreenChick Candida 1 - I chose to prune my large plant because there were lots of leaves near the base, not getting much light. I ended up with 5 clones that were way too small, plus the fact that I've never attempted cloning so far, since I'm a horrible grower. This plant seems to be doing great at the end of the week. feed 1/2 strength nutes Candida 2 - Doing well with 1 stake supporting it. I removed a couple of lower tri-leaves that were touching the soil and looking bad. feed 1/2 strength nutes Charlottes angel 1 - Upper 2/3 doing okay, but pretty light color. feed 3/4 strength nutes Charlottes angel 2 - Remove bottom leaves that are dying, have wrinkled edges and drooping. Rest of plant is doing well. feed 1/2 strength nutes. Haze - Lower 2/3 basically dead. Top has 4 decent leaves. Remove most of the dead leaves. Feed 1/2 strength nutes. Clones - 2 out 5 are not bent over to the soil. Give a light water

GreenChick I've tried to implement a lot of the advice this week. I hooked up my exhaust system to remove heat and thus bring in cooler basement air. My temps before this week were reaching 85-90. After turning on exhaust, temps dropped to 75-80. Humidity 70-75%. My PPM through the soil is 350. One problem that has gotten a lot worse is the gnats. I've usually just used sticky tape, but they just multiplied and I think they might be a factor in my problems. Last night I sprayed my soil/plants with neem oil when my night cycle started. I'll wait 7 days before re-spraying.. My goal at this point is just to harvest some seeds so I can continue trying, failing and trying again. My one good plant (due to luck) I want to get to flower and apply colloidal silver somehow to this plant or another, harvest some pollen, and brush it on the flowers. I'm still looking at how to do it. I don't know if I can do everything on my one good plant, or if I need two plants to successfully do it. So I haven't put it into 12/12 yet. Any references to good instructions is appreciated. My goal of bringing it to produce fem seeds is because I've already wasted about 400 on seeds so far, and can't afford more. I've also decreased my feeding schedule to about 25-50% once a week, and and removing two of the optional nutes in the GO-Box. I've also brought my ph to 6.5 in my RO water.

GreenChick Finally, improvement! Thx to everyone's comments/suggestions. Major changes I've made: 1. Cut my feeding down to about 30% strength, about once a week. 2. LST most plants, cutting off bad leaves, and cutting necrosis off some leaves. 3. My soil stays pretty heavy, so despite a few suggestions, I've backed off of watering just a little. 4. FUNGUS GNATS! Every plant. I spray leaves once a week at beginning of night cycle. Followed a suggestion, and spray heavy neem mix into soil at beginning of every day. Been 5 days of neem, and the buggers are still there, but majorly reduced in numbers. My first 3 surviving clones have been transplanted into 3 gal fabric pots. I also have 3 more newer clones that have survived. I've moved my one good candida into 12/12 2 days ago, haven't seen a change yet. I NEED to bring her to seed. Why? Because where we live, we lose power 3-6 times a year, and winter is coming. My clones and plants won't survive, and I can live with that, but I can't afford to keep dropping cash on good seeds. Lastly, you need to check out the bounce back between last week and this week, especially candida 2, haze, and charlottes angel. Will they get huge? Probably not. But they're still alive!

GreenChick Pretty good week. Candida 1 - 2nd week of flower. I think stretching mostly done. Bud sights are forming now. Only took me 10 months to get this far... I've marked 5 branches to receive colloidal silver spray, to get some pollen sacs. I plastic off rest of plant when I do this, so it's not tainted. Also turn the fan off. Candida 2 - Really bushy, looking good. Fed 25% nutes at beginning of week. Anyone know why some of the upper leaves curl lengthwise, like a taco? I didn't know if it was from lack of water. I'm gonna attempt to take some clones from this plant very soon. This is probably the plant I'll try to sex with the pollen I'm attempting to collect. Charlottes angel 1 - Looks like it recovered from whatever I put her through. I don't know why the tips of the upper leaves bend sideways? Other than that, upper new growth looks decent. Pineapple Haze - Upper 1/2 really got large. I topped the main stem. Candida A - clone looks okay. Fed 10% nutes. Maybe not enought? Candida B - I don't know why it's so discolored. I fed 25% nutes 4 days before this picture, because the leaf edges were so much lighter. Candida C - The best clone of the three, but the coloring has me wondering.

GreenChick Candida 1 - Looks the same in 12/12. Don't know if it's still stretching, or focusing on buds. Day 7 of applying colloidal silver to 5 branches. Candida 2 - Took 8 clones a few days ago. Recovered nicely. Increased my watering to about 32oz every few days. Charlottes angel - good new growth. Haze - Just compare this pic to about 4-5 weeks ago. I'm not sure why I developed some brown along 1-2 leaves. This week I took 4 clones, and fed it 25% strength mix of nutes. Maybe shock? Candida Clones A,B,C - color rebounded greatly, in the course of 1 week. I fed A,B 25% strength nutes. I haven't fed C at all this week. Question: Since I'm feeding organic, do I still feed nutes even when the plant looks great? Or do I wait until the leaves tell me they need to be fed?

GreenChick Figuring things out this week. I have a few questions for anyone who wants to answer. ? - Candida in flower - the smallest leaves around the flowers have light tips. Any ideas? I didn't know if it was a nute deficiency. Prior to the pic, I fed once at a PPM of 450 ? - Candida D clone - upper growth way too light, taco. I moved under a shop light and seems to be doing better, but the color is still this light. ? - Charlottes angel - some of the upper growth starting wrinkling up and twisting/lightening. Prior to pic, I fed nutes with a ppm of 225, which seems low to me. Should I be increasing my nutes/ppm? ? - The pH of my soil seems high. Should I simply ph down my water/nutes to 6 to balance it out? Or do something else?

GreenChick Okay week. Still trying to figure out wrinkled upper leaves on some plants and the yellowing 2 clones. 14 days of colloidal silver on candida 1 and no balls. Maybe I started it too late. Candida 2 is about day 7 of silver since I put it into 12/12, but no pistils yet, so I'm hoping for the timing to be better. Still only planning on 14 days of silver, or should I keep at it until flowering begins? Started a new tray of clones (because I want to get better at it), and I'm using rockwool cubes for the first time. So far so good. Following "grateful grower" video advice on youtube for clones.

GreenChick Candida 1 - Budding up alright (first plant to make it to flower for me). The branches that I sprayed with colloidal silver never grew balls. Candida 2 - Started flowering this week after a few weeks stretch. No balls yet on the silvered branches. Still some purple stems after using epson RO a few times recently. Charlottes Angel - Last few weeks had severe purple stems, and the leaves were like wrinkled leather/velvet. Been giving epson RO with every water. And I've been giving foliar spray with CalMag. Might be just starting to look better. Haze - Past couple weeks, the upper newest growth was way too skinny, stringy, and light colored. Been feeding at 60% strength (don't want to burn them like last two grow attempts). Giving foliar every other day with CalMag. Candida A+B - Been fighting the purple and wrinkled leaves for a few weeks now. Feeding at about 60% , ppm 330. pH of feed is about 6.0. Also giving the epson feed. After a few weeks of this, I might be seeing them starting to get better.

GreenChick Candida 1 staying strong. First time I've ever seen buds, but they look super dense and frosty. Trichomes are crystal clear. Cool seeing them through my 60% lens. Candida 2 - flowering. Weird, but 1/2 of the plant stretched, and 1/2 didn't. The half that did stretch are the branches that I sprayed with silver for 14 days. Charlottes angel - Just getting worse, don't know why. Stems are super purple, and she's super heavy with water, almost like she isn't drinking it. Taco leaves and light between veins. I've been giving her foliar sprays of cal-mag and epson solution on top of feeding and nothing is working. Haze - slight taco, seems to be pulling out of it. **All my plants that looked to have Mag deficiency over the last 2 weeks look slightly better. Do organic feedings and foliars take that long to kick in?

GreenChick Candida E is doing much better after I transplanted into 3 gallon pot. Mix - 3pt soil, 2pt perlite, 1pt vermiculite. I added AZOS, MYKOS under roots of each and they immediately started doing better. I added a 3rd tent for Veg, so now I have 2 flower tents. Hopefully getting to a perpetual grow soon. Candida 1 buds are small and compact, but super frosty. !!!Question - I sprayed colloidal silver on some branches to form some balls, which never happened. Can I still consume the buds, even if I don't smoke them? ie - edibles, wax, oil. I mean, this silver product is used by people for medicinal purposes and they drink this stuff. I'd hate to waste any buds.

GreenChick My first harvest! Taken 10 months of killing stuff to get to this point, so I'm super excited. My first goal was always to at least get to a harvest. A very distant second goal was yield, which will increase with time. We haven't yet enjoyed it yet, since it's drying on rack before I cure it. Believe me or not, but I've honestly never used cannabis in my life. Only reason to get into it this late in life is due to extreme back/body pain. My partner and I both agreed to give this a try, as ordinary over-the-shelf products simply do not work. Due to excitement, I probably harvested this strain a little early. It's a 9 week strain. I harvested on day 58 of flower. the trichomes were 50% cloudy, 50% clear, 50% amber. After cured, I'll post weight. Looking into making gummies, since I've never smoked in my life and don't plan on starting.

also i see you are growing from curing aren't you ? if so you have to help the roots development whit a foliar till you have enough roots in the soil,it would also help to get some micorizha in there

You mention a pH of 7. I believe this is too high. I keep my feed between 5.2 and 6.2. I see that your plants leaves are wet. Try watering them on the medium instead of on the plant itself. Good luck.

Flora, thx for the comment. My first 2 grows were between 5.5-6.5, so I thought I'd try closer to 7 this time. Also, these pics were taken on a non-watering day, since I was trying to dry soil out a bit, so I gave a light mist instead. My first grow I overwatered, so I'm trying to restrain myself this time.
the end.
