I’ve got a good feeling about this Healthy Looking Mango Kush seedling from MediSeedMan. It’s got wings! I’ve never seen the split ‘true’ leaves before and recently noticed she sprouted a new set of wings and they’ve sprouted Under! the first true leaves as far as I’m aware cannabis as a central leading stem where vertical growth generates from, when topping or removing the central leading stem the two nearest side shoots then become leading (plural) stems. On this plant I have no idea where the growth is generating from, perhaps as has been suggested by @growingranny (orsomethinglikethat) the plant may have topped itself however the only new growth I’ve seen on this 3 week old seedling has now come from under the split ‘true’ leaves If you stop into this diary and have seen something like this before drop a comment or dm me! keen to chat about it. The split true (what I’m calling ‘Angel Wing’) leaf mutation started around day 5 it’s now day 23 or 24 can’t wait to see if this plant has any unique beneficial characteristics that stay for the grow

Has anybody had this weird little side shoot leaf mutation before ? What can I expect ? should I pursue this plant or start again ?

Hard to say with the age. If you have time/space I would keep growing to see what the next few sets of leaves look like, My only concern would be stunted growth from the mutation adding weeks to a grow. Some plants will grow out of a early mutation and produce just like a "normal" growing plant would. Happy growing.

Absolutely love this little runt, such a unique and interesting plant. I hope it continues growing with its unique characteristics I’m not applying any growing techniques on this girl just observing natural growth, already such a bushy plant for a seedling. Seems to be producing ‘topped’ leaders on its own and for its time in the ground is looking quite small next to her sister gorilla glue. I germinated Gorilla Glue and Mango Kush on the same day, GG has grown perfectly symmetrical and vertically whereas MK has reached a height then began producing mutated leaves before creating two sets of what appear to be topped leaders The new topped leaders it’s putting out seem to be healthier than the previous and out-do the last. Either she rests on one set of leaders and decides that’s where she will take off from or I have a feeling she keeps producing twins and they all compete. Interested to see the Stem development I am imagining a fist with tentacles coming out of it 😂

She’s got one dominant leader now appears to be outdoing all the other ‘deformed’ growth underneath. She’s a 4 leaf top now though haha 😂 she just can’t get with the program, she just wants to be unique 😆 I think I’m gonna let her cause different is best imo

The mutated Mango K. is still singing along sweetly just looking like a cannabonsai with all that growth so early on haha. She’s had a full upgrade recently including vamped soil, new pot, new enclosure and new source of energy ! Firstly I repotted into a 5 Gal MarsHydro fabric pot using a 70:30 blend of organic garden soil and worm castings then moved into a new enclosure housed inside the lung room. Then the new MarsHydro VG80 lights showed up so I quickly installed those instead of the $40 Bunnings plant light/stand that the Mango Kush and Gorilla Glue were sharing at first. Now they’ve got a more serious chance at doing their best ! Just watching for the changes and playing the waiting game until I have viable clones to veg out then the place gonna be smelling like a mango orchard in no time 🤤

The Mango Kush is turning into a little weapon of a plant. A surge in growth over the last week has left me with high hopes for the wee one that’s for sure. Much more bushy than the Gorilla Glue growing next to her with the same birthdate. I have had some fungus gnats flying about and noticed some minor insect damage on the leaves so a swift yet torrential treatment of eco neem both foliar and soil drench quickly followed a couple of days later and no signs of bugs only healthy new growth so dodged that bullet for now I’ve been feeding once a week with Aptus Facilitator and StartBoost and watering PH’d tap water @ 500ml every other day (looking into RO filter for home) Other than that nothing to report all is going well for now

Another week down inspiring vigorous new growth ! As I witness more unique characteristics developing, revealing a glimpse at where I’m headed regarding this Mango Kush seedling I really start to wonder where this grow is headed ✨🌱 Is this a Siamese twin plant ? I believe what I’m looking at is two plant stems growing side by side each other. It may or may not be clear in the pictures that this stem has a broad appearance with 2 depressions exactly opposite each other (either side of the stem), in the centre of the stem, running 2/3 the length of the stem beginning 1 inch up from the dirt. It looks like two stems wrapped in the same epidermis. For any plant geeks out there to me I imagine two Xylem potentially sharing a singular cambium and phloem There isn’t enough information resulting on the surface level internet searches I’ve been doing and, I don’t have the resources/time to start my personal cannabis horticulture encyclopaedia 🤷‍♂️🏽 so I’m flying by the seat of my pants (for lack of a better term) All I will say is I’m excited to see how she grows and look forward to any challenges I’ll face in trying to make sure she gets what she needs to do her thing in the most natural way possible. I really look forward to hearing from anybody who has had likewise experiences, if there were any diaries I could look through for educational/comparative purposes I’d be greatly appreciative if you got in touch Legends Cheers for following along :) Shout out to @aptusplanttech @marshydro @mediseedman.com

Could be many of things from a virus, to a mutation. I have had the same thing on a few plants over the years. You do have a magnesium deficiency started. That or your ph is not right in substrate.
