Started with 2 Amnesia Haze seeds placed in a cup of water near router. The next day they had sank, so I moved them into a wet paper towel, and back to the router they went. By morning the paper towel was dry as a bone and one seed had sprouted their taproot. This can be a huge mistake, as the seed can dry out once it has cracked. With no other options, I spritzed and covered the paper towel over the seeds and then placed it all into a plastic sandwich bag...with a few more spritzes of water. I blew into the bag to fill it full of humid co2, placed it back on the router, and prayed that I didn't waste fourteen dollars. A handful of hours later, both seeds had sprouted nice, white taproots that helped reassure me that they had survived the dry spell. Once the taproot is a bit longer, I will be placing it downwards into a solo cup with a 50/50 mix of Ocean Forest and Happy Frog, along with a handful of perlite mixed in. I've mixed in a half-tablespoon of epsom salt into my gallon of tap water ph-downed to between 6-7. I also add a splash of 3% hydrogen peroxide per gallon to help with the high levels of chloramine in the tap water. 1/15: Not looking good at all. Upon watering a new cup of soil to runoff, in preparation of attempt #3, I've found that the soil was definitely not wet enough when I planted Amnesia seeds 1 and 2. After taking on all of the water to runoff, a full cup of soil had shrunk down to half a cup. The taproot of one of the seeds had flipped over and broken the surface of the soil looking for water in the air. That's how dry this soil must have been. I also kept it in a too-cool room under a common CFL, which likely also stunted seeds 1 and 2. I've cut my losses and started prepping the soil for Amnesia attempt #3. If Amnesia seeds 1 and 2 survive, they will be given the same nutrients as the others, but will be living their lives as solo cup grows if there is enough light and space left over in the tent 1/16: Seed #3 was given the same damp paper towel inside of a damp zip lock bag, placed on a plate on top of my router where it stays nice and warm. 1/17: Seed #3 produced a much longer taproot than seeds 1 and 2, because it stayed moist the entire day and night, unlock the others. Placed seed #3 into some soil that was presoaked to runoff 24 hours in advance (50% ocean forest, 50% happy frog this time) and used the zip lock bag as a humidity dome over the cup. Placed cup into grow tent with light about a foot away from tops of cups and light placed on 50% power. The tent is temp/humidity controlled to 75°F and between 50-65% humidity. 1/18: Prepped another cup of soil to runoff (25% ocean forest, 75% happy frog). Placed one of the NASC Trainwreck Auto seeds into a cup of my ph treated water, tapped it once, and it sank to the bottom; so I figured I'd avoid drowning the seed if it happened to have already cracked. I'd go ahead and place it in a paper towel and zip lock near the router, since this method was working for me. By nighttime Amnesia #3 had pushed its seed to the surface. 1/19: Amnesia #3 has sprouted with a helmet! Not quite an inch I'd say. I will keep lightly misting over the next couple days to try and help break down the seed and membrane so that it'll come off as easily as possible. By night Trainwreck seed #1 had sprouted a medium length taproot, so it was placed root-down in the cup of prepped soil and had a zip lock bag placed over to keep things moist. That then joined the others in the tent. I was able to gently pull the seed off of Amnesia #3 at that time and removed its humidity dome. The tent is between 73-78 and humidity between 60-70% to keep things moist. 1/20: Amnesia 3 has opened up and is showing its first leaves. I lightly spritzed the top of the soil, and a few droplets of water stuck to the leaves and made them droop, so I removed the humidity dome for a few hours to let it dry then ended up placing it back on for the night. 1/21: Amnesia 3 still looks good, but the leaves are a little droopy, so I'm removing the humidity dome so to not overdo the moisture. Trainwreck has pushed its seed to the surface, and appears to have shed it, but it's looking a little tired in the soil. I don't want this guy damping off, so I'm going to take off the humidity dome and let it get pure light without the foggy bag over top. Later on in the evening after thinking about how bad Amnesia 1&2 look, I plucked one out of its cup, doused the cup/soil with treated water, made a hole, and placed him back in. I placed a humidity ziplock bag over the top of both 1&2s cups to see what happens. 1/22: Removing the humidity dome from Trainwreck has helped tremendously. Meanwhile, adding the humidity domes back to 1&2 have also helped grow the first true leaves. The cotyledons on those guys are dead, so I will be lightly pushing them out of the way of the true leaves (not yet pictured). Keeping the tent around 73-76F with humidity below 70, averaging mid 60s to keep the seedlings moist.

1/24: Amnesia 3 and Trainwreck are looking pretty good! Trainwreck is bending a little, so I'm going to check very closely whether it's stretching towards the light, or avoiding it. Soil is still nice and damp, I spray only the outsides of the cup and let it run down the sides of the soil so that the roots will have to find their way outwards. The inside of the cups nearest the soil stays pretty foggy with moisture while they're still young. I should probably lower the humidity next week to be low 60s, as opposed to high 60s so to prevent excess moisture in the soil from choking the roots. The tomatoes are grown in regular ol' potting soil that has the slow release nutrients. They'll probably be getting transplanted to something a little bigger here soon, and then placed outside once it warms up. 1/26: Seeing some growth day by day. Trainwreck started to bend sideways, and continued in that same direction no matter where the light was positioned, so I added a little more soil around the stem to hold it more upright. Humidity is staying in the 60s, temp in the mid 70s. Light set to 60% power at 20 inches from tops. Getting a lot of built up minerals from the humidifier on the fan, which winds up all over the tent and plants. Probably going to have to find something to do about that. 1/29: Transplanted Amnesia Haze 3 into its pre-moistened 3.5 gallon bucket with about a 60/40 mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Happy Frog, respectively. Placed 20" under the lights at 60%. The second light is increasing the temp in the temps in the tent to 80F, so I'll be playing with the humidity and fan settings to dial things back in. Almost time to transplant Trainwreck as well. 1/30: Transplanted Trainwreck into a 3.5 gallon bucket. Added some leftover reflective material under the canopys of the plants to see what happens. Temps can push 80F during peak hours, so I've increased the humidity to 75% so that it will lower the temp to 75F. It's a pretty hot and humid environment in that tent. I've got 2 6" hurricane fans running, pointed indirectly near the plants. Will probably be pointing them towards the plants directly in the next couple of days to strengthen the stem.

2/1: Woke up to some white splotches on Amnesia 3, which I thought were drops of humidity-water which contains a lot of white junk (ultrasonic humidifiers), but after slowing down and watching the overnight timelapse footage, I think it may be powdery mold. I was able to wipe it off with a soft, damp toothbrush earlier, but now I'm probably going to need to snag some neem oil. There are also some lightening of spots on Trainwreck, however no white splotches yet. I'm really hoping this isn't caused by powdery mold on one plant causing leaf septoria in another. Either way, neem oil should clear this up while still early in the grow stages. Lights are at 60% and are about 15-16 inches above the tops of the plants. I've purchased some General Organics Calmag solution and some neem oil spray. I applied the neem oil to any white spots on Amnesia 3 with a Q-tip. I coated one of the two discolored leaves on Trainwreck with neem oil lightly spread with a Q-tip, as to not allow bubbles to form and cause a magnifying glass effect from the lights onto the leaves. I mixed up a gallon of water with a tsp of calmag, and then heavily pH-upped it to about 6. I carefully watered about a cup of water around Trainwrecks stem. If the neem oil works, one leaf will be fixed; if the calmag works, both leaves should be fixed...at least that's the goal. 2/2: So the concensus of others on the lower leaves of Trainwreck are light burn from water on the leaves, though I'm not too sure. The outside edge of one leaf is starting to brown, which makes me wonder if it laying on the soil could be causing a nutrient burn. I've decided to throw a few toothpicks under those two leaves to help keep them off the soil, in hopes that the browning won't continue to grow. The neem oil that I dabbed onto Amnesia 3 has lightened a few spots, but overall she looks good. 2/3: Looking good. Raised the light on Trainwreck by an inch or so, to hopefully get a little stretch. 2/4: So far so good, growing fast! I used a little bit of calmag water on trainwreck to see if I could resolve the yellowing, otherwise they have not been watered yet since transplant. Probably will water here soon within the next couple of days.

2/6: Amnesia 3 is just about 6 inches tall now. Trainwreck is only a couple inches behind. Still keeping the temps between 73-82 and the humidity in the mid to low 70s. After thoroughly watering the very healthy, young tomato plant that coesxists in the tent, the tips of some of the leaves turned yellow. That makes me wonder if soaking the soil for the first time since transplant caused a bit of nutrient burn. I'm going to avoid any nutrients the first time I water Amnesia 3 and Trainwreck fully, to avoid the same potential issue. They're not looking too thirsty yet though. 2/8: Amnesia 3 is tall enough and has a thick enough main stem to start slowly low stress training with a rubber coated gardening wire. I pre-drilled holes in my buckets for this occasion, and the wire fits well. Each day for the next week I'll gently pull the wire to slowly bend the main stem downwards, similar to how braces work on teeth: a long, slow procedure. 2/9: Woke up to Trainwreck's leaf tips pointing downwards, so I took it as a sign to go ahead and give it its first watering. I siphoned up a bit of the runoff water, and it came back at a PH of 4! That's not good; however, after researching a bit, it's likely that I could have siphoned up a pocket of low PH nutrient-filled water, making my reading way off in terms of the PH of the whole slurry of runoff. If the leaves don't bounce back, I'm going to take that as a potential sign of Nitrogen toxicity and will monitor more closely. Will probably make plans for a flush if it progresses any worse than downward leaves. Nitrogen toxicity can cause fragile, dark green leaves that point down in a shape similar to a claw, among other symptoms. 2/12: Watered Amnesia 3 for the first time since transplant. Getting taller and less bushy in some spots, so I may turn up the lights from 60 to 75% tomorrow, to see if I can increase some more growth. But before, I want to make sure this watering doesn't cause any nute burn from the soil.

2/13: The LST is really starting to help fill in the spaces on Trainwreck, which is starting to really look bushy. Amnesia 3's LST is much easier and is giving me a more space between leaves to get access to the stems. They've started to smell fragrant over the weekend. The tomatoes that share the tent handled my quarter-strength nutrient mix very well, so I feel safe using it on these plants as well. I've turned up Amnesia 3's light to 75% to see if I can get the plant to fill out more, similar to the bushiness of Trainwreck. 2/15: Trainwreck's leaves are pointing down a bit, so I'm watering until I see some runoff, maybe a gallon or so. With the sheer amount of bushiness, I've been able to defoliate a few big original fan leaves that have been hanging out in the shade at the bottom. I've increased the light to 75% and have raised a couple inches to help promote stretch and light penetration to the lower canopies. LST is going well on both, but better on the more lanky Amnesia 3. Both seem very happy. 2/16: Trainwreck took the watering well. I noticed Amnesias leaves were pointing a bit downwards, the pot was super light, so I went ahead and watered a gallon with light runoff. Noticed some twisted wind burnt leaves on Amnesia, so I'm repositioning the fans for a less direct flow. Going to need to LST Amnesia a bit more tonight, as the main budsite is quite a bit higher than the others. Otherwise, things are looking okay. Thinking of buying some molasses here soon to add to the water. 2/17: Minor defoliation of shaded leaves near the soil. Still tough to defoliate Trainwreck given how bushy she is. Tucking the big fan leaves on her as much as possible to prevent shading any of the budsites. Since they're in flowering phase, I think my next watering will be with a quarter strength of Bloom nutrients. Molasses included if I have it by then. Only $3 at Walmart, I better!

2/20: Both pots are light and are looking droopy. Time for first day of feeding nutrients. I used 1tbsp unsulphured molasses mixed into a half strength mix of General Organics GO Box nutrients, following the first week of flower instructions. 2/21: Both plants are looking great this morning. Amnesia seemed to have grown more overnight! I'll need to watch the timelapse to see what happened. My lights are at about 80% at 12 inches above the plants. I'm going to increase it to 12 inches above the tallest cola. 2/22: May turn both lights to 100% soon, as the timelapse of the night didn't show much growth or movement. Otherwise looking good. 2/24: Woke up to Amnesia's lower leaves turning yellow, brown, and crunchy. Google research thinks its a PK deficiency, the last two letters if the N-P-K nutrient list. Discord users also believed it was a PK deficiency on their own accord. I may be able to remedy this by upping my main Biothrive Bloom to full strength to increase those nutrient numbers, and feeding her now. She's growing fast, I could see why she'd be hungry again after 4 days. Her pot wasn't quite all the way light before bed though. After today's feeding I'll go down to 3/4 strength on the Bloom for the next feeding. EDIT: After lifting Amnesias pot, she definitely is ready for feeding/watering. Probably starved a bit overnight in the hot tent. Later at night, Trainwreck began to droop, so I mixed up a half strength of nutrients and fed her a gallon over a half hour.

2/28: Amnesia has some yellowing of the leaves that appeared around about 12 hours before my usual every-3-day feedings and after I started to defoliating some of the previous yellow leaves from the previous accidental lack of water. I'm not sure if it is progressing, or it's just because I'm dialing in the watering schedule and she's using the nutrients in the extra, fatter, lower leaves. I've increased Amnesia's light distance to 16 inches and am lowering the humidity to stick between 60-70% RH with the automatic fan set to remove excess humidity near the higher end of that range. Fresh air fan blowing around the tent and into the 2 lower vents. Smells like a fresh garden outside of the tent, however smells green when the tent is opened. Not a strong green smell, but mildy recognizable. 3/1: Welp, it's worsened, and has shown itself in both plants now. Since they share the same environment and nutrients, I suspect this to be a nutrient issue. Trainwreck was known for potentially having excess Nitrogen as shown by the extremely bushy growth, dark green leaves, and downward curling leaf-tips. However, Trainwreck is now no longer exhibiting those symptoms, and has lightened up and is stretching. But! Trainwreck is showing signs of potassium deficiency, with brown spots appearing on upper leaves. The same goes for Amnesia, brown spots have migrated their way to upper leaves. I'm thinking a banana tea will be good for them, so I've got a couple large banana peels steeping in the pump sprayer for this evenings watering. My conclusions: 1. Nutrient burn hitting Amnesia hard, but Trainwreck is riding it out from its stored excesses. 2. Both are lacking some potassium now that they're beefing up in flowering stage. Edit: I've decided to add a quarter-strength nutrient to this banana tea so as to not completely flush out the remaining nutrients. I believe that would leave her starved in between her next feeding, in 3-4 days from now. 3/2: Welp! That made it worse! Time to test the PH of my soil. If the PH is too far in one direction or the other, certain nutrients will be locked out. I've ordered a PH meter instead of these PH testing drops. I didn't know that the difference between 6.0 and 6.5 would be so drastic, but with that said, I need to be more precise about my PH levels if I want to maximize these nutrients. Until the PH meter gets delivered tomorrow I may, if my research says that I should, flush with plain water ph'd water to try to flush out salts and try to get the PH back to 6.5 where it needs to be. Edit: I do not believe this to be overfeeding, as I would expect nutrient burn on the tips of all leaves, but there are colas that are completely unaffected by the recent feedings. However, if the PH is off, and I suspect it is, individual deficiencies will pop up and affect the leaves differently. The other plant, trainwreck, which was planted later, may have contained less Ocean Forest nutrients from the top of the bag, and also more Happy Frog; so it's riding out these issues just fine. 3/4: The discoloring on Amnesia has not spread to any other leaves. I've done a little bit of defoliating on the yellow and crispy leaves. Looks like they're already being replaced. I've got my ph meter now, and doing a slurry test came out 6.4 on the top inch of soil, the only soil I could get to without ripping up the roots. Either way, I'm doing to be certain to PH tonight's feeding (half strength) perfectly to 6.5, as opposed to trying my best using PH testing drops, which is almost impossible! Trainwreck is getting some spots on her leaves, so she'll be ready for her feeding tomorrow.

Most likely you have an imbalance of either calcium or magnesium and this could be most likely be related to ph and uptake issues. Other than that it's just natural aging process.

3/6: Yesterday I fed half strength nutrients ph'd to both. Amnesia's runoff ph was 5.5. So I made another half gallon of half strength and ph'd it to 7.5 to get Amnesia's runoff to be 6.5. If only I had done this sooner and didn't mess up with the PH testing drops as opposed to using a ph meter, Amnesia's leaves could have still been green. I've been removing all of the dried, crispy ends as I find them, leaving the rest of the leaf intact to suck up as much light as possible. Timelapses are showing that the buds are fattening up well though. Trichome production has kicked in and is covering the leaves. Beautiful colors all around. 3/8: I don't think I can wait any longer to feed Amnesia. Vacation starts midday tomorrow, Thursday, and I'll be away until Monday evening. I'm mixing up a half strength nutrient mix with molasses and epsom salt. I'm also going to try to set up a timer/pump system to water sunday night.

3/14: Came back from a 4 day vacation to a lot of dry, wilted, dead leaves on Amnesia. Trainwreck is super starved as well. My automatic watering system didn't kick on, and the humidifier ran out of water within 24 hours, so there's that. It may be for the better though, as the PH of the nutrients had risen to 7.5. I tossed that mix, and made another 2 gallons of half strength nutes, molasses and epsom salt. I watered them both to runoff, and now I'll wait for Amnesia to prioritize which leaves she thinks are worth saving, and then I'll defoliate the dead ones. Hopefully trainwreck will just bounce back to green. She needed to be defoliated anyway, so this situation makes it easier for me to find the dead leaves. Edit: Came back to feed the last of the nutes and decided to pluck the crispy goners. I found that pulling the leaf stem downward will make the most dead leaves fall right off, allowing me to test a majority of the leaves and give Amnesia a major haircut. Luckily I left a lot of leaves from prior defoliation, as Amnesia REALLY sucked them dry. 3/15: Amnesia looks no worse for wear than last night. Trainwreck as well. Went ahead and pulled as many dead leaves off Trainwreck as I could. Some leaves were a mix of crispy brown and healthy green, which I think is pretty goofy, so I avoided taking any green fans but removed the crispy ones. The colors of the leaves around the buds are really fun to look at. 3/16: Amnesia is starting to SHED her dead leaves, allowing me to pick the leaves with almost no effort. I tested as many leaves as I could, giving another haircut. I would say this isn't a good thing, but since it's my first grow, I'm rolling with it. As long as Amnesia keeps the buds and its nearest leaves alive, it will slowly grow, albeit stunted. I'm not sure if this condition will cause it to finish sooner, but I'm going to need to watch the trichomes under a microscope every couple of days just in case she's ready for harvest. Trainwreck looks about the same as it did before. No new leaves are ready to be removed there yet. 3/19: Amnesia is still shedding leaves, but also bulking up. Trainwreck is slowly bulking up, and turning purple as well! Going to keep an eye on Amnesia's trichomes. Edit: because amnesia is yellowing so much, and because it's been 5 days, I'm going to feed both plants a quarter strength nutrient mix just in case I've been overfeeding them somehow.

3/21: That last quarter-strength nutrient feeding seems to have taken well. Amnesia is bulking up slowly, and isn't letting go of as many dead leaves today. I am removing any crispy leaves I can find from Trainwreck as well. She isn't letting go of any leaves like Amnesia is, they're just ugly as sin. Oh well, they're doing their job. I am keeping the humidity to match the current temperature according to the VPD charts, like every week, so I haven't been lowering the humidity over time because of the heat in the tent. 3/22: Leaves are looking greener today. Just keeping an eye out for any loose leaves ready to be removed from either plant. Not many so far today.

3/27 Been fighting the warmth of the lights and the rising temps lately. Amnesia is still sacrificing leaves, but much more slowly now, letting me pick out about 5-10 per day. I really don't know what caused it all, but at least this could make trimming easier. I'm trying to make sure I pull off all the browning and crispy leaves so that they don't get absorbed by growing bud. Trainwreck is getting much more purple, but is also browning in some spots. Trainwreck doesn't let go of any leaves, as the base of them is still green, which makes it more difficult to sift through the brown leaves and pull them out. Fed at the end of last week, may have been Friday. 3/29 Feeding 3/4 nutrients today! 3/31 Fed 1/2 strength nutrients and lowering lights to 50% before going away for the weekend. 4/1 They survived my time away. 4/2 Some crispy leaves needed to be plucked from Trainwreck to open up other budsites. Trichomes are still not amber.

4/5 Feeding half strength nutrients. Buds are getting much more dense feeling. Trainwreck has almost no white hairs on their buds. Amnesia's upper hairs are darkening. Still white hairs on the smaller, lower buds of each plant. Still fighting the heat of the spring and upcoming summer. I may have to run a 20/4 light schedule next round, to avoid 4 hours of heat during the hottest time of the day.

4/10 Fed half strength nutes with epsom salt but no molasses. 4/11 Something I've noticed, feeding really makes the buds grow dense by the next day. It's hard to notice the plants slowly growing at this stage day by day, but feeding definitely changes that for a day. 4/15 More half strength nutrients! This time with epsom salt and a half tablespoon of molasses per gallon.

4/18 I think it's just about time to start flushing Trainwreck! Seeing a lot of cloudy trichomes and some amber mixed it. Next feeding will be plain water. 4/21 Amnesia was fed half strength nutes with a half tablespoon of epsom salt. Trainwreck was fed plain PH'd water. Time to keep a close eye on a Trainwreck's leaves and trichomes.

5/1 I took off the carbon filter yesterday and noticed the suction that I had been losing was completly restored. I then washed the filter sock that fits over the filter, and blew off any buildup of humidifier and carbon dust. I've yet to reinstall the filter, as the smell isn't too bad. Trainwreck is starting to fade and absorb the leaves. I'm removing them as I go. Will probably water them both tomorrow. Wondering if I should start flushing Amnesia as well.

5/1 Trainwreck is starting to absorb it's leaves nutrients. I pluck them as I go. I'm thinking of flushing Amnesia here soon too. Edit: decided to take a chunk of Amnesia without flushing to see if I can get a flavor difference between flushing and not flushing. I'll be keeping the first clipping in a separate grow tent with fan set to 70F with a max of 60% humidity, I don't think I'll be able to get it to 60F in this tent, but I'll experiment with it and a second humidifier. It's currently 74F and 36% humidity. I wonder if putting a humidifier in there will lower the temperature to the correct level. I'll try. 5/2 Watered both with PH'd tap water. The tent is starting to smell distinct; probably of dead chlorophyll as the plants start absorbing their leaves. The clipping of Amnesia in the other tent is starting to smell a bit like hay. After a couple of weeks of drying, I'll trim and move it into Grove bags to let the terpenes come through during curing. 5/7 Trainwreck's leaves are turning more and more yellow. Gonna check the trichomes on both here soon. Giving them another plain PH'd watering today.

5/8 Watered both with plain PH'd water yesterday. Both of the plants are sucking up leaves. Trichomes are only really looking amber on the brown leaves, but otherwise milky.

Trichomes are only really looking amber on the brown leaves, but otherwise milky. 5/10 Decided that these brown-leaved buds on Trainwreck were ready, so I tried a little bro-science and watered an hour before harvesting. Noticed there were some really nice green young buds intertwined, so I did my best to trim around to leave them for another week or so. No weight measurements yet, will wait till after trimming and before curing.

5/11 Decided to harvest all of Amnesia at 11pm, a couple of hours of watering. This is a lot of bud. Good thing I installed a new row in the drying tent! No weighing until I trim, cuz these stems are fat. 5/25 Looong, slow dry at high 50% humidity. After drying and trimming we're at 133.4 grams, or 4.75 oz! Time for curing in the grove bags!

5/16 Chopped down the rest of Trainwreck that had another week on the first chopping. 5/18 Forgot to take video or pics of the last chop, but here is a video. Top row is all Trainwreck except the guy in the front right. Bottom is all Amnesia. 5/27 Long, slow dry at high 50s humidity. Trimming seemed okay, though tedious. Got 83 grams after subtracting the weight of the Grove bag! Not bad! Will update after curing.
