Liberty Haze & Cookies Gelato

DAY21 : Three weeks have passed since I took the cuttings of the motherplants, and put them in the speedplugs. Today I topped the plants, so each plants has four growtips/branches. We had a cold week, so the temperature went below 25°C. The Liberty haze is bushier than the Cookies Gelato.

Evberything looks fine. Plants are regrowing after topping last week. I made a selecton.

This week I selected and repotted the 8 most beautiful plants : 4x Liberty Haze 4x Cookies Gelato I've bought 8 new AutoPot XL 25 liters containers I also bought 8 AirBases, which is a new product and can be used instead of claypebbles. I pepared a soilmix for these 8 AutoPots with the following ingredients : 2x 50 liter Plagron Light-Mix 2x 50 liter Plagron Perlite 1000 gr. I used a wooden stick and a plastic binder

Daily Low Stress Training (LST) of the plants by bending the (two) branches 😊 DAY41 I topped and defoliated the plants. Now they've got 4 growtips. 😜

DAY43 since cloning = DAY4 of the bloom 😄 This week I connected the AutoPots to the airpump. This pumps oxygen to the roots using the AirDomes (see Week 5). 👌 The differences between the two strains is becoming increasingly clear. The cookies gelato has wide, round leaves and quickly grows with short side branches. The Liberty Haze has slim, saw tooth -looking leaves and grows a bit slower with more faster -growing branches. The Liberty Haze is only 60% Sativa. The Cookies Gelato is 50/50. 👊 This week I removed the side branches and the larger leaves.

This week I bended, defoliated and removed the lower branches of the plants, every 3 days. 😵 DAY13 was the last day I pruned the plants. Flowering has started ! 😍

DAY17 of Flowering / DAY66 of the whole cyclus Plants are growing fiercely. Biggest plant 70 cm, smallest 50cm. Today I places 4 new and bigger plantsticks in each AutoPot to keep the branches on the right position. No real LST anymore, just positioning the branches.

DAY25 of Flowering / DAY74 since start (taking clones) Medium grow pace. I should have kept more sidebranches..... 😏 Last pictures taken by my girlfriend, because I had already left for Spain for Spannabis. Now I'm back and that's why it took me a while before I could post these pictures. 😍

DAY38 of Flowering / DAY87 of the whole cyclus (since start of cloning) Back from Spannabis.... As according the BioTabs fertilzer chart, I added once DCM groenten en kruiden (organic) N-K 4-3 with bacteria and vegetable amino acids/peptides (similar to Orgatrex) (500ml water per plant with 20ml nuts) Liberty Haze has beautiful buds. Not that much trichomes (yet). Cookies Gelato has not so beautiful buds, but beautiful colors are appearing and a lot of trichomes.

DAY45 of Flowering / DAY94 of the whole cyclus (since start of cloning) Liberty Haze has beautiful and big buds. Cookies Gelato has a bit less beautiful and smaller buds, but has turned completely purple, and has much more trichomes.

DAY53 of Flowering / DAY102 of the whole cyclus (since start of cloning) 👉 Liberty Haze has beautiful and big buds. She's a hungry strain: leaves are turning yellow because the plants are looking for nitrogen. Buds are nevertheless rockhard. She has an amazing sugarly sweet smell with some sour, also pine and a little bit herby. 👉 Cookies Gelato has much smaller and denser buds. This strain has many more visible trichomes than Libery Haze. The plants have turned completely purple. Beautiful in combination with the white trichomes. Buds are extremely dense and rockhard. The smell is much more pungent and a little black/red fruity.

Short kind of haze. Not a real haze as a planttype. Rather slow grower and fast bloomer. Looks like an Indica but she gives you a flashing hazy high. She is sure to put a smile on your face. 😊 Perfect genetics: according to Barney's Farm a male G13 Haze x Chem Dawg 91 💪 I forgot .. the buds are extremely sticky 😃 --------------------------------------------- I could have flower them a bit longer though. But because of spider mites in the neighbouring plants (Cookies Gelato) I had to harvest them a bit too soon. The Liberties had no problem with the spider mites , so she's resistant to spider mites as well 😍 Because the plants had only 4 branches with big buds, I was also a bit afraid to have budrot inside. But luckily the plant looks resistance to budrot as well ✋

This time however I wasn't so lucky. Despite the fact that I had sprayed the plants heavily (with water) under the leaves during the first weeks, I had spider mites. The mites have colonized part of my plants, especially in the last week. I have not added these buds in my harvest; I made oil out of it. The affected buds still gave a good effect, but the taste was not so good. The yield was therefore a bit low.
