Jan 16 - Started germination process via the paper towel method for both seeds.
I am also changing up nutrients to try dry nutes instead of liquid nutes this go around just to see what happens. They appear a bit easier than liquid nutes and have heard good things about them. Will see.
I am also stepping away from autoflowers as I have just had rough luck with them since starting my growing. I am going to try just photoperiods this time and see what happens. I had great success with the photoperiod skunk #1 that I grew last time, so am hoping to have the same luck here.
I plan to use the red solo cup taco method again for seedlings. Inside the taco will be 100% FF Happy Frog. I have placed different red solo cups inside the fabric pots to form a mold and placeholder for the seedlings. This should alleviate the need to have to dig out a spot to transfer them into the fabric pots when I need to transfer them over.
Soil set up will be 50% FF Ocean Forest, 25% Happy Frog, 25% Perlite.
Lighting will be 18/6 from seedling to flower, then 12/12.
Jan 19 - Both seeds had about an inch of a taproot going. So I've moved them into the red solo's. Got my light at 22" and 50% dimmed, per recommendations.
1/21 - Both have broken soil and looking good so far. Will move them to veg in another few days. Also watered a few ounces each today as they were feeling dry.
hey i followed you cause we are doing a similar looking grow. i think in liters not ounces, but I think maybe you are watering with too much water? They look overwatered to me, i'm only using 1.5 liters per plant when i water with a slightly bigger grow bag than yours also, 15 liter. Basically doing 10% of the size of the pot. maybe try 1.1 liters of water for a bit? good luck!
@tromus_teh_tranq, thanks dude, i am learning that this is all a balancing act. juggling the environment, light, and watering into a hopeful trifecta of harmony. there is definately no one fits all solution i'm discovering!
@Gridderz, Thanks! That was the day after watering. Definitely perked back up. I think the droopiness is coming from light stress. if i dial the dimmer back to around 60%, they seem to handle it much better. I had been running it at 75-80%. Still playing with that a bit. Your grow is looking solid too! Very healthy!
