ran into stunted growth on the Bruce banger for about 3-4 weeks due to high ph water.
I was using tap water for the white widow and RO water for the Bruce banger just to see what differences it would make since its my first grow
the tap water stays consistent ph around 6.7 to 7.0 so I wouldn't use the ph meter while the RO water I did use regularly, added to much ph up to get it to around 6.4 when it was closer to 8-9 with a broken ph meter
started growing again after getting a new ph meter and adjusting the water to 6.3.
ran into calcium deficiency so I added more calmag to the water at 10ml per 4 liters
seems to have help but will have to wait and see if more leaves continue to discolor.
What I thought was a calcium deficiency ended up being manganese, Switched from TPS nutrients to lotus bloom because of the additional manganese in lotus. I was able to correct it in the white widow before it showed major signs of manganese deficiencies, The Bruce Banger on the other hand showed a lot of discoloration and on top of that the BB didn't like the change in nutrients and got nutrient lockout for about 3 days. Paused the nutrients on BB giving only ph. balanced water for 3 days and reintroduced lotus bloom by diluting nutrient water with ph balance tap water two-to-one.
Currently day 3 out 7 of flush and everything looks great. I recently watched a podcast discussing whether 48 hours of darkness really makes a difference and Dr. Bruce Bugbee made the case that 48 hours of light would be more beneficial in synthesizing new terpenes. I've decided to keep the lights on until harvest in a couple of days.
didn't know what to expect since its my first grow but I ended up doin a 5 day flush with 5 days of 24 hour light. Dr Bruce Bugbee was discussing whether 48hr of darkness helped, and made the case that having the light would more beneficial for terpene production. Dry time was 21 days with the humidity at 60
