Germination
I germinated the seed in a paper towel. It fully germinated (cotyledons out, shed the husk, 3cm taproot) in less than 24 hours. Cotyledons were extremely yellow and one was half grey when I transplanted. Taproot was oddly shaped, hence the odd positioning of the plant in day 1 - but no worries it corrected itself pretty immediately.

Started nutrient regime at first sign of hunger on D1 of W2 with 1/2 strength mix. VS450 was burning the seedling. Increased lamp to plant distance on D10 and replaced light all-together on D12 with SF1000. SF1000 is only a 100W and is running at 50% power 📅 D8 * ~100mL 6.18pH 📅 D10 * ~100mL 6.18pH 📅 D11 * removed humidity dome * increased solution strength to 75% (she's still a bit hungry on 50%), but did NOT feed 📅 D13 * replaced ViparSpectra 450W blurple light with SpiderFarmer SF1000. Huge difference in ability to maintain environment in the tent * watered ~300mL 75% solution

📅 D15 * bumped light up 3% to 53% 📅 D16 * bumped light up to 57% 📅 D17 * watered ~500mL * bumped light up to 60% 📅 D18 * Leonor began pre-flower phase and is extremely hungry. I watered a lot yesterday so I have to wait until she dries up a bit before I can give her more nutrients * bumped light up to 62% 📅 D20 * mixed 2L of old 3/4 strength veg mix with 3L of new 100% strength preflower mix @ 1.682ec and 6.14ph * watered ~1.5L of the above mix * bumped light up to 65% 📅 D21 * tips of leaves slightly yellowed, dropped light back to 60% - I think I turned it up a little too fast * last day of week 3. She was praying when I opened the tent this morning. Seems to be very happy.

📅 D24 * Noticed slight light burn on the tips of the new growth. Realized I had not adjusted light since she was 6cm tall (shame). Increased light from 30 -> 50cm from top of plant. Not much more upward movement left for the light. * Started to smell - had to hook up the carbon filter. This increased temps/lowered humidity slightly in the tent * Began LST to get ahead of the light height issue. Took off two small 3-leaf leaves at the bottom which were burnt from the 450w when it was a seedling. I will likely ScrOG this soon * Watered 1.5L water ONLY @ 5.88pH 📅 D25 * Continued LST (light) 📅 D26 * Slight LST tweaks * Plant is looking phenomenal * Installed ScrOG net @ 20cm above soil level. No more LST planned until some branches reach the screen. She's going to start really stretching in the next couple of days, the explosion is right around the corner.. :)

📅 D28 * Increased light to 70% * Soil seems to retain moisture extremely well... maybe too well, or maybe it is because this container is too big for my little space. :D * Watered 1.5L mix w/ nutrients @6.14 pH * Removed anchor tie at base to avoid damaging the base (it was happy to stay bent without it) 📅 D32 * watered 1.5L nutrient mix with added calmag for deficiency.. probably should have spotted this sooner and used calmag around week 2 📅 D34 * watered 1.5L pure water @5.58pH (to counter-act slightly high run-off pH) with added calmag. Leaves are looking much better after last calmag dosage, but are also a bit nutrient burned because of the feed-feed-water schedule. Changing to feed-water-feed schedule for the future.

📅 D38 * watered 2L pure water @ 5.58pH 📅 D40 * continued watering with 1.5L fresh water 5.6pH to address iron chlorosis issues on top leaves (nutrient burn - trying to clean root zone) * trimmed 5 shaded fan leaves on under canopy

📅 D43 * 1.5L fresh water 5.6pH - no signs of hunger still, only burn * plant not transpiring much.. sign of issues to come due to low rH in my climate 📅 D46 * 3.5L fresh water @ 6.1pH * can see nutrient burn somehow getting worse even though I have been watering with fresh water only for 2 weeks. I assume this is because I have such a large pot and have not been watering with enough water to effectively 'flush'

📅 D51 * 3L fresh water @ 6.0pH * filled base of tent with water to raise humidity levels. natural rH in my climate is around 20-25% right now, which is a large factor in the health of this plant. evaporation from the bottom of the tent brought humidity up to ~35-40% 📅 D53 * turned light down to 60%, saturated soil with 5L of nutrient solution (significant runoff), and said goodbye for a 10 day vacation

Was gone until the last day of week 9 on vacation. Came back to a plant in pretty bad health. As expected, soil was bone dry. What was not expected was the weird mix of nutrient deficiency and nutrient burn issues I am experiencing with this plant. I assume this is caused by two key factors: * No humidity control means this plant is never in ideal VPD zone. This effects transpiration and the uptake of nutrients. (Nutrient deficiency) * Never properly 'flushing' the root zone with a large amount of clean water, means salts stayed built up around the roots for a long time (Nutrient burn) 📅 D63 * 4L of nutrient solution

A lot of wildfires in my region, probably due to the extremely low humidity. Can't keep rH above 15-20%. 📅 D65 * 2.5L nutrient solution 📅 D69 * 3L nutrient solution

@legacymarketfarm I'm back with some improvements this time around. I have studied up on the information you gave me on my first grow, and this will be the result of that. Check in on me in a few weeks to see how I'm doing. :) My plant health is already so much better this time around compared to my first!

Looks like some slight nutrient burn but that is something we can easily fix. Make sure to flush well next with just WATER. Also, I follow usually FEED / FEED / WATER routine but if you ever see slight burn, Do not hesitate to change that up to FEED / WATER / FEED until the burn goes away. Overall though, Great looking development and super nice tight nodes !

@LegacyMarketFarm, Gave her clean water on the last watering and the overall coloring is looking much better 2 days later. Thanks for the heads up, I think you saved me some heartache! 😁

@LegacyMarketFarm, great thanks for the fruitful discussion. I'll make sure to give her some clean water next time and observe.
