Amending with bloom top dressing because flopping this one to flower. Over the transition, I will amend with some more bloom mix and some rock phosphate and Power Bloom from Gaia Green. Will also be doing a brand new banana tea recipe so stay tuned folks.
@XperencdGmanXG, I can't remember any being pine I'm remembering mostly chocolate strains with fruity something in it.
There is a breeder Sam** it smelled like a chocolate covered banana. I can't remember the whole name of the breeder it's Sam or Samantha something
@XperencdGmanXG, this is a great strain I've grown it from a few different breeders over the years π I am about to start one from ams , I hope it's a good one
Agreed itβs all in the microbes. Have you ever tried Recharge? Not sure itβs βallowedβ in Canada under CFIA. Their recipe has kelp, Leonardite (for humic acids), molasses and then three types of microbes. Iβve got dried molasses, kelp, and Humalite (the freshwater mineral version of Leonardite) so I was going to make something like that up. Growing at a smaller scale again this year (partners selling their farm) and Iβve got enough leftover stuff for my small plant suburban grow this summer.
@XperencdGmanXG, hey there. Yeah, I use malted barley which is cool cuz one of my clients is a malting plant so I can freely score 5 gallon pails worth. I use it as a top dressing, and have seen use of only 1/3 cup recommended so I just throw a small handful on periodically near the start of flowering. Not ground up but you could do that too. Idea is from Clackamas Coot.
As for Humalite, check out Black Earth Products. Alberta is the only place in the world where they mine this stuff apparently. I bought a big bag for only 40 bucks so it can be pretty cheap. Or you can buy in a drum of alkaline water from a cannabis nutrient supplier for about 1400 bucks. Most egregious cannabis nute pricing scam Iβve seen, but Iβm sure there are others just as bad.
@Northern_Ent, i can get recharge products through a B.C. reseller. but I prefer sourcing my own stuff, free if possible. have not tried Leonardite yet but great suggestion of a carbon based dry humic acid, to use as an amendment., ive been looking for that. Have you tried malted barley? Supposed to have all kinds of good stuff for plants in it, bacteria, fungal, yeasts, growth hormones and plant activator hormones. they say use fresh ground as it has the most microbes.
@XperencdGmanXG, Aint that the truth. Our full feed recipe is built around a organic base & is a hybrid organic / synthetic feed. We will be teaching the entire recipe in the next tutorial series after this one we are on now. It involves NPK RAW Microbes, Amino acids, Enzymes & Cane mol. Then using Gaia green amendments in the soil & brewing tea's once a week to re-inoculate the substrate as the synthetic element knocks it back a bit.
Your plants are just amazing πͺππ
I see you like to resource your own nutrients but are buying micro life. Just wondering if you have heard of L.A.B.S. it's made using rice water, milk and time. I have two recipes for making it. If you can private message me an email or Instagram I can give it to you if you are interested or if you Google it that is where I got it. I haven't made any yet but definitely want to once life slows a bit π A buddy of mine makes it and says he'll never spend another dollar on store bought microbes, he was using the Fish Shit before he started making it
@Cyrusdavirus, Thanks for the compliment. yes just waiting for spring so I can do some IMO collections. then going to start messing around with making IMO1 2 3 etc... Yeah when you are in the city growing in an apt. its difficult if not impossible to collect your own IMO. So It's nice to find cheap alternatives. We always have kefir in the house because we love to eat it. I have malted barley because I make my own beer. I've only ever bought the soil activator and the stepwell em1. i use 2.5mg of em1 so a bottle last me a very very long time.
