Three seedlings, two of which will be grown in Promix with liquid nutrients, and one of which will be grown fully organic in super soil, were transplanted into solo cups with Promix BX (20% additional perlite) cut down to 1/3 of the cup to help facilitate quicker dry backs. From my experience, this is far superior to using the entire solo cup and only watering/feeding once the first week and a half, risking pH issues, stunted growth, and root rot. With these small solo cups, roughly the same height of the rapid rooters, the initial watering will last only 2-3 days...within 1.5-2 weeks you will need to water/feed every day. This will result in a thriving root system. One seedling, which will be grown in DWC, was transplanted into a 4" RW cube. All plants were fed the same solution (detailed above), with the Promix seedlings pH 6.2 and the RW seedling pH 5.7. Promix runoff of initial feeding was roughly 20% runoff @ 6.2/394 in - 5.6/1580 out...from my experience this will be much more balanced within the next couple feedings so we can get a better idea of what's really going on in there...with that said 5.6 is pretty darn good for the initial watering (I've seen as low as 4.7 with other peat-based brands) so kudos to Promix for offering a wonderful product. VPD bouncing around between 0.6-0.9, PPFD @ 150/DLI 9.7. This will mark the end of the seedling period and the beginning of week 1 of the vegetative period, with tomorrow (2/3) marking the completion of the first day. All plants will be transplanted into 4x4 area under 600w HID lighting within the next week.
Update (2/5): Day 2 Veg - All plants moved to 4x4 area under Ushio 600W MH bulb @ 75% power 250 PPFD/DLI 16.2/VPD 1.0
