Very smooth run so far. Pest prevention began this week with all plants being sprayed with Azamax and introduced to SNS-209. All plants were topped on day 7 veg and three of four plants were transplanted on day 8 veg. Two plants will be grown in 5g fabric pots, one will be grown in a 3-gallon fabric pot, and one will be grown in a 3-gallon DWC bucket. One plant (A - 5g) is being grown in super soil with only natural and organic fertilizers and will not be introduced to any synthetic nitrates which should, theoretically, lower water content and maximize brix (brix testing will begin around week 4-5 and will be included in updates). One plant (B - 5g) will be grown syn-organically in medium strength living soil with reduced strength synthetic nutrients - the idea is to see if one can achieve "the best of both worlds." One plant (C - 3g) will be grown in pure pro-mix bx/perlite with only synthetic nutrients. One plant (D - 3g DWC) will be a sterile DWC grow with only synthetic nutrients. B and C were fed 1 pint of the solution detailed above at transplant but at different strengths (Hanna: B:745ppm/C:440ppm - pH 6.3), and A was fed 1 pint water with Primordial Solutions Seagreen and Rootamentary, Recharge, Zyme, and Hydroguard (140ppm/pH 6.4). No runoff to be tested for this feeding due to small amount of solution being administered. This is a legally licensed run, and I am comparing/contrasting growing methods to see what produces the highest brix/yield/cannabinoids. All plants will be sent for lab testing of cannabinoids and terpenes during week 4 flower (results will be posted) as well as after harvest. The plan is to have a 35'X10' grow running and an established LLC by this time next year, and I want verifiable proof (no bro science) of which methods produce the best balance of quality and yield, with yield being secondary to quality. I will not be growing for flower, however, but for breeding. The flower will obviously be harvested and tested for quality and to select cultivars. Each plant will be cloned 3 times in approx week 4-5 and the winner of these four plants will be back crossed into fem seeds and pollen will be harvested to be used moving forward. VPD bouncing around between 0.8 and 1.2 - PPFD 250, DLI 16.2 @ 18/6.
