Still breezing along. Plants recovered well from topping and transplanting last week and are juuuuust starting to get established in their new homes. The plants have just finished up their first 5 consecutive feeding run of SNS-209 and will not receive any more until the beginning of week 2 flower. So far, the syn-organic plant (B) is the most impressive in terms of overall health and size. The fully organic plant (A) is the smallest by far and is showing a slight magnesium and nitrogen deficiency, but I'm sure it will get with the program soon. In my experience organic plantings are a little more finicky in the beginning but wind up being lush once they've fully established themselves (in theory this can be avoided by "cooking" the soil for a couple weeks, but I didn't receive my super soil concentrate until a few days before beginning the run). Plant A (5g full organic) will receive some Epsom salt solution and a top dressing of ewc and Dr. Earth Homegrown (fastest acting N i've seen from a dry fert) for the next watering. C (fully synthetic 3g Promix) is very lush but lacks the size of B - this is not due to the smaller pot size, as I still haven't fully moistened the entre pot to runoff as of yet. The DWC plant (D) is obviously leading the pack in terms of size, but it's stem rub is lacking...very piney whereas the syn-organic plant (B) is piney/funky - whether or not this is due to phenotype or grow method is still tbd. SCRoG net will be going in within the next few days and will be present for next week's update. Plants will be cloned within the next two weeks. Brix testing will begin within the next two weeks. Soil pH testing will begin this week as it should have established itself by now...any test results will be included in weekly updates. Most recent solution for DWC (D) is 1310/5.7, A was 140/6.5, B was 750/6.3, C was 450/6.3. The plants are at the point where they are about to absolutely explode after the next feeding/watering as the roots have dug in and they have almost dried back. MH Light is 275 PPFD avg @ 18/6 - 17.8 DLI - VPD bouncing around between 0.9-1.3...a little higher than I would like but still within an acceptable transpiration zone.
