Vegetation started on 12/18/22 after a long seedling stage - about 4 weeks where it just sat there doing nothing. But once it began growing, it has been vigorous. I am regularly trimming off leaves and bending stems into the shape it is now. I plan on flipping the lights next week. The Complete Crop nutrients are really good.💪

I flipped the lights from 18 hours to 12 hours at the beginning of week 7. I'm near the end of the week, and flowers are not yet forming. But I do see some pistils beginning to emerge on the undergrowth. I also fed with both the myco+ and flower fuel to support this transition week.

The plant has stretched 2 to 3 inches in height since I flipped the switch at the beginning of Week 7. Flowers are beginning to form. I am impressed with how green and lush this plant is. I am defoliating sun leaves pretty heavily at the end of each week. All shoots off of the stems have been clipped off in the lower regions to promote growth up top. This coming week I will install bamboo canes for support. All pictures are day 55 total, and day 7 of flowering.

Week 2 of flower, and Almighty Headband is growing strong. Thanks to answer I got from @gottagrowsometime on my question about small buds from my Bubble Gum clone, I did some heavy defoliation this week. The tutorial at https://www.growweedeasy.com/nebulas-flowering-stage-defoliation-tutorial showed me that in my last grow, I did not take enough of the fan leaves off during early flower; and this may have inhibited bud formation. For this grow, I defoliated fairly heavily, and it doesn't seem to have hurt the plant. Time will show, and I'm looking forward to watching it this week.😎

Plant is doing good. All green and no brown. I did not trim any leaves this week due to the heavy defoliation last week. It looks like the plant has recovered though, and even see some stacking beginning.

What level of humidity should be maintained during flower. On previous grows, I kept it to 50 rh. But after seeing some growers use as high as 70rh, I upped this grow to 60rh. Thoughts?

Veg is 60 but for flower you want it lower to avoid bud rot and wpm. Lookup "vpd chart" to get optimal grow conditions.

Just watching it grow this week, and feed and water. Flowers are beginning to fatten. I'm really impressed by all of the growers in this community. You all know so much about the science of gardening. In past years, I experimented with things like PH and VPD, but honestly I'm kinda stupid on these things, and I failed more than succeeded. I also have terrible success rate for germinating seeds. This particular plant was one of three seeds, and the only one that germinated. I'm beginning a new grow, and my first germination attempt has already failed. I do enjoy tracking the plant growth and learning tips from the community, but for me I'm in search of the simplest way to grow. For example, I just learned that I did not do the topping right - I just topped once, and then trained it. I guess I should have topped it three times to get the classic 8-cola structure. Oh well, I still have lots of colas, but not sure if they will fatten up because there are too many - only time will tell. This particular grow seems to be going good. My feeding/water schedule is every other day -- water day 1/2 gallon of tap water; day off, feed day 1 gallon of water with nutrients, day off, repeat. I also use a pot elevator so it doesn't sit in water because I'm a habitual over-waterer. What I've found interesting is that using this rudimentary method, I don't get a lot of water run off; and I have not had one brown or discolored leaf in the 11 weeks so far. Smell is beginning to get strong. Cheers to growing my own medicine!

This week I lowered the light by about 6 inches. It may have been too high, and I'm thinking that's why it stretched so much with so much room between nodes and flowers. Hopefully the buds will fatten in the next few weeks. All in all though, she is doing really good. Smell is strong and peppery.

Should I raise the lights during flower stretch to maintain the same distance from light source to canopy? I notice that my plants continue to get taller than most. I know the stretch is natural, but I'm wondering if constantly raising the lights with growth is the right approach

A good thing to do is watch for any signs of light damage. The first signs your plant will give you will be the turning of leaves away from the light source. That's a good indication that you should raise your light. You're going to want to keep the intensity so yes raising it is the best approach but wait until she tells you. Hope this helps.

She is filling out and exuding her scent more and more each day. I kinda fucked up on my tracking days. I started the diary after the plant had been growing for 4-5 weeks. The seedling stage lasted a long time. What I have been tracking accurately though are the number of days since I flipped the switch to 12 hours. But flowers did not emerge until a week later, so I'm not sure if I'm at day 48 or day 41 of flowering. Her pistils are beginning to turn amber, but still sticking straight up. Trichomes are there, but not too frosty and still clear. I think I'll go another week with nutrients and then flush for a week. If all goes to plan, harvest will be an April Fools trick.

She's getting close. This week I fed her just the flower fuel and molasses without the base nutrients. Smell is getting strong. Trichomes look milky, but no amber yet other than the pistils.

This was the last week. No nutrients, just a couple of waterings. Although the plant is showing end of life, the trichomes are just turning amber. She is definitely ready for harvesting. Stay tuned...

First, I know the bowl trimmer reduces nuggs with lots of trimmings. The last week, I did not give any nutrients as I was flushing. The result was the plant began dying and buds drying. So drying time won't be long. Smell is strong, and nuggs are tight and frosty. After drying, I yielded 1.6 oz for curing. Also, thank you to both @UncleSkunk and @Organoman for answering my question. I believe you are correct and that my defoliation experiment in week 9 had the opposite effect of what I was going for. Not sure what I was thinking, but I saw extreme defoliation in another diary so I gave it a try. I won't be doing that again 😬

Hi growmates, I tried flushing the last week, and the plant seemed to die, with buds beginning to dry. When I harvested, the lower buds just crumbled. The colas though were still tight. Do you think I should have kept giving nutrients to the end? Has anyone experienced this?

the end.
