WEEK #2-Feb 4 to Feb 10
2/8-Plant is growing healthy and fast. She looks like she'e going to be a big tall plant so I started some minor LST to see if I can get her growing tall and wide.
2/10-First 2 weeks have gone really well. She's growing really fast. Just starting 4th node with other growth already happening on the underleaves. I'll wait a few more days and then look at topping to encourage some width. Next week I'll increase the nute load a bit and see how she handles it. I've already got a good feeling about this one.
WEEK #3-Feb 11 to Feb 17
2/12-Fimmed at 5th node
2/14-started LST training
2/15-So far no adverse effects from fimming
2/16-Increase nute load a bit to 5.9/1050 ppm
2/17-First 3 weeks went really well. Very healthy.
WEEK #4-Feb 18 to Feb 24
2/18-Trimmed a couple of big fan leaves from down low. More LST. Undergrowth is growing well
2/21-Doing lots of leaf tucking and its working nicely. Plant looks like it will be pre-flowering shortly. So far so good.
2/23-Things are moving along to plan. First pistils are showing so I'll start with bloom nutes mix shortly.
2/24-First 4 weeks right to plan. Plant is healthy and starting pre-flower right on schedule. Setting up to be a good one.
WEEK #6-Mar 4 to Mar 10
3/5-Into full flower mode. Plant is stretching up[ to 14 inches now. Lots of bud sites emerging. Adjusted nute mix.
3/7-I saw what appeared to be a tiny bit of leaf chewing so I hit the plant with a light coat of neem oil solution as a precaution. Morning after detected no adverse effects. Plant continues to progress nicely.
3/10-Solid week of growth and emergence of buds.
WEEK #8-Mar 18 to Mar 24
3/18-Plant starts week #8 in great shape. The canopy is almost perfectly even across the top with just about every bud site exposed to good light. Seems to be topping out at 17" ish. The runoffs are consistently good and she is shaping up to be another Mephisto 'bonus seeds' winner. My favorite Mephisto strain of all is Mango Smile. A couple of my other favorite strains have been bonus babies and all of them have had Mango Smile in the mix. So I can't wait to see how this turns out but I've got a good feeling about her.
3/22-Plant is really looking good. Buds are stacking and getting bigger and frostier each day. This plant is one day older than its Walter White tent mate but seems to be at least one week ahead in terms of bud development. It seems to have topped out at around 15.5 inches but its well proportioned with a very even canopy ensuring all the buds are getting good light. I fimmed this plant and topped the Walter White and this plant seems to have alot more colas developing albeit not quite as tall. Will be interesting to see the differences in yield when all is said and done.
3/24-First 8 weeks have been textbook. Buds continue to fatten up and get frostier. Runoffs are right on with inputs. I'm guessing this plant has another 4-5 weeks in her before harvest. I'm hoping for 4-5 ounces based on what I see now and my past experience with Mephisto crosses with Creme de la Chem and Mango Smile. However much I get I know its going to be great.
WEEK #9-Mar 25 to Mar 31
3/26-Did a bit more LST to separate the branches/colas a bit more to increase light to lower buds. Getting very frosty.
3/31-9 weeks in and she is looking great. Buds are starting to get very dense now. The smell of the resin is amazing. Next week I'll add Overdrive into the mix for a couple of weeks. Then I'll decide if its time to flush. I'm think this one has another 3 weeks in her at least to bulk up. I'm hoping that I'll get 4 oz plus out of her.
WEEK #10-Apr 1 to Apr 7
4/1-Changed the nute mix a bit by adding Overdrive and cutting back a bit on the other nutes. The buds continue to get more dense and frosty. My guess is the plant has go another 3 weeks in it before harvest. We'll see.
4/8-Solid week. Buds are really getting golf ball dense now. More and more amber trichomes. Leaves are just starting to show signs of getting yellow. The plan is go one more week with nutes and then flush.
WEEK #11-Apr 8 to Apr 14
4/8-I've had great success with Mephisto seeds that were crossed with Mango Smile (3Bears OG and Double Grape x Creme de la Chem) and I'm betting this one is not going to disappoint either. The aroma of the buds makes me want to rip it down right now and smoke it! I'm going to keep a close eye on the amber trichomes this week and if warranted I'm going to move up the flush.
4/10-Getting very close to flush time. More and more amber trichomes, leaves are showing signs of yellowing, and buds are very dense.
4/11-Started flush today(#74). Runoff is 5.4/930.
4/12-Runoff 5.6/530
4/14-End of 11 weeks. Flush continues. Last runoff was 6.0/190. Leaves are getting more yellow and you can tell she is getting closer to harvest but I'm going to err on the long side on this one and see if I can get to 84 days. We'll see. She's been a good the one the whole way!
WEEK #12-Apr 15 to Apr 21
4/17-Did the final flush this morning. No more water until harvest.
4/18-No water today. Did some pre-trimming of leaves to prepare for harvest.
4/19-Harvested
Growing this bonus strain from Mephisto was a breeze. Textbook from start to finish. Buds were very dense. Pre-trim made it very easy to just cut the buds and throw them on the scale.
Every thing is harvested now. Looks like I'll get between 4 and 5 ounces when all is said and done. I'm going to let it dry for 7 days then 30 days of curing. Can't wait to taste it.
