And we’re off to the races! First time using roots organic soil; mixed some medium sized pertlite in. Looking forward to trying something new with autos and either topping or mega cropping this girl.

Week 1 is in the books. Not much to report, hoping for a lot of growth in the coming week.
Will add height and distance from light next week after a bit more growth.

Well, all things considered it’s been a pretty good week. First time using roots organic soil and was rewarded with fungus gnats. Been keeping her dry and she’s doing fine, so far at least. Using DE and sticky traps has definitely helped, but plan to use a mosquito dunk next watering. Aside from that, will likely try topping this girl here shortly and will continue lowering light.

A good week in the books. Planned on topping her, but results from super cropping my pineapple runtz convinced me otherwise. Super cropped this girl on day 17 and have been doing light LST since. More LST to come and likely some defoliation.

A great week for this girl. Responding well to LST. Transitioning to flower. Some minor defoliation, likely a bit more to come. Excited to watch her develop.

Overall a good week, but I’m a bit mad at this girl… noticed a few balls on the lowest nodes this week. So now I get to check for more everyday! Hopefully no more come along and no one in the tent was impacted. We shall see.

Crowded tent! CDLC is in back left. Another good week for her. Developing nicely and seems happy as can be.

She’d fading! Not sure if it’s because we’re close to the end or because I’ve been letting the soil dry back further than I typically do (the root of many problems for ppl that run into issues with ffof, imo). Developing nicely! Chop should be in 2-3 weeks so we’re in the home stretch.

I use roots organic and have also dealt with fungus gnats in their soil a few times. However, I still really like their dirt and have had great success with it once I took some additional steps before planting. I learned my lesson a few cycles ago and started sterilizing the soil in the pots before planting sprouts using boiling water. I grow in 3 gallon fabric pots. So, I fill each pot up with soil and then I pour 1-2L of boiling water in each pot. I let the pots rest and cool overnight before planting sprouts the next morning. This approach has a few added benefits in addition to keeping pests out of the grow room. First, it provides water for early seedlings. Second, it helps keep humidity in the grow room high, which is ideal for young plants.
